Did Benedict step down because he could not stomach the cucking necessary to save Christendom?

As for Catholicism, its been heavily subverted and co-opted. Globalist agendas are being pushed everywhere, schools, churches, media. Christianity was always going to be a target, even after all the Marxist poison.

Of course he less cucked than people believe. Political groups routinely attempt to siphon off papal influence by reckoning popes to be "one of them." Francis' pontificate, more than any other in recent history, has been utterly propagandised by the media since day one, with liberals fashioning him as some kind of reformer that's going to change church teaching and bring the church into the modern era. It's all bullshit. Much of the controversy surrounding his time as pope has been contrived, with innocuous statements being embellished and held up as a sign of change. In reality, Francis' views on religion aren't controversial at all and his social views are within normal bounds.

Francis' only real problems are his suspicions of capitalism, which are very much a product of the time and place he was born; and his views on immigration, particularly as it relates to the migrant crisis, which is well-intentioned but ultimately naive.

Just consider the Church that he inherited: Catholicism had been heavily villified for several years due to the sex abuse scandal. At the time Francis gained office Catholicism was being treating by the MSM as an international paedophile organisation contributing to the misery of untold millions around the world. It shouldn't be surprising that someone like Francis was elected. They needed someone capable of cajoling reporters and putting a fresh face on the Church. And it fucking worked: despite the fact that Francis has routinely denounced the evils of gender theory, feminism and attacks on marriage and the family (some of the key platforms of progressivism), liberals still speak of him as though he's one of them. It's hilarious, really, but I guess first impressions matter.
