Is joining the military a good idea if you have no future in life and are a failure?

Is joining the military a good idea if you have no future in life and are a failure?

I want to be a ranger the rest of my life

I was in Uni and decided to join the army. Overall it seemed like I would get in but then they found a red blood cell in my urine and got declined. Was a huge bummer. Already quit uni for it and then got the message. Now I work at a gas station.

I would join if you have no other option but be sure you are actually fit for service.

Run me, run me in the dirt now.

I'm enjoying it so far

no, you will know for the rest of your life that you were a pawn to evil

The only thing lower than rock bottom is joining the army and serving Israel.

Sounds like you should kill yourself. It's better than joining the military and becoming a cuck in addition to being a failure.

I have been a hikki for well over 8 years now, and I've done virtually nothing with my life in that time. I have no work experience, education, social skills, or life experience in general; no future prospects. I feel like I haven't matured a day since I was 15. I've long fantasized of joining the military in the hopes that it might be the kick in the teeth that I so desperately need to rehabilitate myself, a last resort.

I'm not sure though. /k/ tells me it's a retarded idea, and they're usually right. I have manage to get myself fairly /fit/, so BT shouldn't be too much of a hassle for me.

You don't even need to be strong to make it through bct, you only need light musculature to graduate; a minimum of 35 pushups, 47 situps, and to run two miles in at least 16 minutes to pass a bct pt test.

Put just a couple of minutes of thought into this user.

Have you been watching that anime GATE? It was created just as a propaganda recruitment tool for otaku shut ins.

Brilliant but fucking devious idea.

Better watch some military animu

Sure. Why not?

Actually an interesting anime, outside of the military masturbation.

A few things to keep in mind:

No matter what a glib recruiter might promise, the military sends you where they need you. They
look at your ASVAB and whatever, and they won't put you where you're not qualified, but you migh
t not get the MOS you've been "promised". If they want you to carry a rifle and get shot at by T
aliban all day, then that's what you'll do.

Because we don't have the draft anymore, our volunteer forces are strained. Lots of guys have be
en sent over to Iraq (in the past) and Afghanistan (still) on multiple tours. Plus, there's such
a thing as stop-loss and reactivation. Thought your enlistment was up? Nope, it's been extended
. Congratulations! Got out, started a life outside the military? Well, you're in the IRR, soldie
r, you're being reactivated and shipped out. Congratulations! I don't know if the stop-loss and
reactivations are going on anymore like a few years ago, or if they are, if they're as common, b
ut keep in mind that can happen.

All memes about Israel (though you should look up the U.S.S. Liberty if you've never heard of it) and the Jewish conspiracy aside, keep in mind that no matter what you're fed about defending the Constitution and "the American people," you're really doing no such thing. The military is an instrument of foreign policy, and you'll be serving the "national interest," which is not necessarily the same thing as your interest, or your family's interest, or the interest of anyone you know or care about. I'm not saying that the generals at the Pentagon will throw away your life on a whim and light a cigar with your enlistment papers while chuckling, but if they decide that your unit being wiped out in order to defend a section of pipeline in some godforsaken Central Asian hellhole run by a warlord who likes to sodomize little boys is an acceptable loss, then your ass is grass.

If you're the type who likes to bend the rules, or you get in trouble a lot, consider whether you might wind up with a dishonorable discharge. It's not uncommon, and it's utterly ruinous to the rest of your life. You'll be denied VA benefits (obviously), you'll never be able to buy a gun from a licensed dealer, and good luck finding a job.

All of that said, some people do very well in the military. If you decide to join, beware of the kind of woman who likes to attach herself to a serviceman then get pregnant. It's a guaranteed monthly check for her, and she gets to fool around when you're deployed. Also, there are tons of scammers that like to target servicemembers, especially enlisted, and especially around military bases. Payday loans, car loans with insane rates, stuff like that. If you have the self-discipline to avoid money trouble, you can use the opportunity to start building a financial base that will serve you later in life.

Good luck.

TL;DR: no

To elaborate, show me any reason to live, that's a reason to not join.

are you asking if this is good for you, or for them? because i'm sure they're always happy to have a new young retard with no direction to use as cannon fodder. the bloated militaries of first world countries literally could not exist without people like you. you easily make up 90% of their workforce and the only reason we don't have something like Israel is because you fell for the propaganda and join of your own accord.

If you want a purpose in life or to be told what to do with yourself, it's absolutely great if you can qualify.

better than being a NEET

datamining thread do not reply
fuck off dataminer

No

Pretty much this. During almost-mandatory meet-with-the-military day at high school, the recruiter straight up told me that due to my visual disability, I would be guaranteed a spot OFF of the battlefield. Still wasn't sold though, mostly because pencil pushing and being a recruiter did not sound all that appealing to me at the time. I would have been good with getting a tech position but they usually reserve those spots for people that served already.
Also:
EXPRESS NO INTEREST
You're get spammed for years if you give them even a nod.

No. I'm stuck here for 6 years and everyone else is a fucking normalfag. 99.9% chance I'll still fucking live too. How many can say they were in the military and never got laid.

you'll have even less of a future in life if you get exploded by an IED

therefore, yes idiot do it now

There are easier ways to make money. Joining the army is not the only way to pay for a hooker.

Want to join the military, but do to health and vision problems I can't even get a drivers license without an exemption from my optometrist and even then the license is only good for a single year. I will never be fit for the military and it feels fucking bad man. I feel like I can't even get a job because I live in the definition of commuter town and with no car I'm scarred of working farther than a mile from home because of my limited availability. If I ever am able to get any good amount of money the first thing I'm buying is a Tesla with autopilot and in the event I do find myself pulled over then fuck it the worst they can do is fine me and toe my car

I do plan on going into the navy sooner or later. or maybe the airforce. hopefully i can make lots of money and get benefits and still play vidya.
