Blue pilled. The only red pill is that Kirk is so alpha he makes you think Star Trek is red pilled.

crypto-redpill. There is no way that many distinct human ethnic/racial groups persist that far into the future with such purity without nat soc being the norm on Earth.

What we see on the show is just from the perspective of the Federation, which is an artificial institution created to put forth a singular "united earth" front to other planets and the make the jew vulcans happy. The thing is, once humans colonize other planets, they typically revert right back to ethno-nationalism and racial essentialism.

Youre the same kind of person who insults harry potter and doesnt realize its a batshit dystopia and not advocating anything merely paralleling some things

Youre the same kind of person that rambles and sense doesnt even because Buck Rogers is white genocide and not being understanding even intersectionally

biddi biddi biddi

Its blue pilled as fuck but the inclusion of the space jew ferengi and space nigger klingons seems like an unintentional red pill.

Daily reminder that the version of communism in Star Trek that we're shown isn't what the left wants.
They want to force it onto us and have complicated systems to make it work.

In Star Trek, there's plenty of free space for people to move to, and machines like clean energy and fabricators exist, so there's no reason that anyone should go without.
There's is communism by luck and dedication with capitalism and invention, but the left just wants us to suddenly become communists over night.

Center-pilled. Roddenberry assumed that politics would "settle" somewhere in the middle. Starfleet's pretty commie, but in a post-scarcity world that's not such a bad thing.

The left and the real elite want a massively upgraded version of this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Cybersyn
Basically computer communism. Someone up there believes that it could work if we could just monitor everything. It will never work.

The technology just makes communism the path of least resistance, that is all. It also why the free open source software guys can do what they do, because distribution costs are zero, like a replicator, they can cheaply distribute their software and sort of compete against Microsoft.

This is why my stance has always been "let's just turbo right-wing it until we hit post-scarcity"

Some days I think we could already be there. The government probably has secret advanced technology to make it happen. They just want us dependent because they are drug dealing pedophiles.

Yeah, some company's likely been parked on reliable cures for cancer for quite a while now.

Which era are you talking about? Remember the morals and philosophy of the writers have changed over the years.

Here's some food for thought.

A post-scarcity world where humans can produce more goods than everyone could need and living space is no longer an issue is probably the only scenario where I could imagine Communism actually being able to work. Even then, I still don't think I could bring myself to actually accept it; human beings would still be greedy, which would inevitably lead to fractures in the society. Not to mention that Communists have a habit of purging anyone they have even a slight political disagreement with; you'd inevitably have people who don't want to live in the system, Communism usually views these people as a threat and gets rid of them.

What would happen is power clique's would emerge. The leaders would not fight over food and slaves but positions of influence.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to say; once material goods become basically infinite then people will begin focusing on accruing prestige instead.

Irrelevant. In a society with limitless energy, space and goods, the ideal economy and government would be very different. is probably right.

Depends on which captain

ahahahaha oh wow, is this an American thing?

Red-pilled as fuck, in the oldfag sense.

I don't think "post-scarcity" will ever exist. As more resources become available, people will invent new things to use them for. Like how when we started growing so much food that we couldn't eat it all, we started turning it into fuel.

star trek is definitely true communism

Oldfags didn't care about politics. That shit was understood to be something only normalfags cared about or thought they had any influence over.

gay anime space communism

Nice to see people in one of these threads get it, or close to it. needs to go one step further and realize it's not communism at all. There is no central distribution whatsoever. The only point of limitation is a replicator. Except instead of going to a replicator store to pick one up, you go over to Bob's house because Bob is autistic and spends all his time building replicators and leaving them lying around for people to have.

Will you finally stop being a dumb autist?

Scarcity is an invention of the ruling class.

way to go, religion!

...

That'd be socialism, user.

lmao wow spergs btfo

jew vulcans, ha.

Reasonable hypothesis, Bones.

It can't be gay with how stacked Troi, Beverly and 7 of 9 were.
Surrounded by them for eternity would be a pleasure.
Just none of their relatives can visit.
Apart from the borg queen.
