Okay so, long story short Pops does the whole heroic sacrifice to save his friends, I didn't have a problem with this until the montage at the end.

Margret doesn't even get a fucking line! She just hugs Eileen and that's it, she is not shown at the end, guessing the writers didn't give enough of a shit about her to give her her own ending. Mordecai ends up with some random hipster bat girl, CJ is ignored and Pops' bastard father dies off screen.

And oh yes a show that came out in 2010 is ignoring Blu Ray in favor of VHS, yeah okay sure……

The montage at the end just felt half assed and wasn't really needed, I would have much rather had the series end with Mordecai and Rigby sitting on the roof shooting the shit about all their crazy adventures, but instead we get a bullshit happy happy horseshit where are they now montage.

Yeah, but the flashback was from the pilot of the show, and usually the first few episodes have more of a budget to give a good impression I guess. Also, has anyone noticed how the final hug between Pops and Anti-Pops had smoother animation? I think that's the case of them requesting more of the budget to make a more impactful climax to the finale.

I honestly thought Pops was gonna die but in a more grounded dramatic way, due to his age. I kinda joked around the idea that they would interpret it as him ascending into a higher plane. I was kinda right though Heck, I thought the finale was gonna be similar to Fresh Prince of Belair, where all the characters gather around say goodbye, maybe a touching scene between Benson and Mordecai and Rigby showing that despite their fights that they grew more and now look to Benson as a father figure. Cripes, the ending was too rushed for me to feel anything.

Maybe that's the point? Mordecai started as a better character than Rigby. He even went to college even when he dropped out later while Rigby was supposed to be a loser who doesn't even think twice when he changed his name into Trash Boat. But as the story goes Mordecai keep getting shit luck with his romance life while Rigby starts improving himself. From finally getting his school diploma to having a drama free relationship with a girl that can accept his weakness.

I think they were trying to go with the "you don't really marry your first crush" angle, which I thought was nice if I actually gave a shit on the romance. I think the writers didn't intend for Mordecai to look like a loser, because here we hate the hipster stereotype so much. Like I said, Benson looks more sadder, mostly because he didn't seem to get ahead in life unlike (in some way) the other characters.

Gumball has terrible romance. Gumball's retarded self has nearly gotten Penny (that was her name, right?) killed 3 times.

Like Early simpsons when the Christmas special where they don't have money and Santas little helper becomes their pet is very touching because of how raw and just sad it is but the context is still touching.

Homer doing something horrifically destructive, but then we forgive him because "Awww, He said sorry" isn't. And Richard is many times worse than Homer as a core character (Homer is worse because of the length of the show means he does worse things through it).

This final season was mediocre to say the least and it honestly didn't follow the flow of Regular Show as a whole since past seasons always had something "regular" to it which eventually degenerated into weirdness, but this whole season was just weirdness for the sake of it. Sure, I liked that final scene with dead Pops in heaven saying 'good show' as the show itself actually ends, that would've been a great way to end the series no matter what the final season would've been like, but the stuff before that was just too nonsensical by RS standards especially since Pops' origin story just doesn't match up with several facts in the show and the fact that his step-parents look exactly like him for fuck's sake.

This gives off the vibe that Ilene cheated on Rigby with Don. Also who's the ugly Steven Fagverse wannabe in the corner?

The show started to go to shit when they decided to make a drama about Mordecai cucking CJ that was what killed it for me and stopped watching it what the hell where the writers thinking this was a good idea?

I don't think it would be that bad if it wasn't for the fact that they decided to do it with Margaret. If they introduced this hipster bat chick and she was as good as CJ but with different point of views that would be a difficult decision, now that would have been good, but instead you have the old shitty Margaret with a new gimmick, now she is a reporter.
Now, she just go back to her hometown, that's all cool, and I wouldn't mind having her as a support character, and they used her to give their relationship an interesting bump a couple of times.
