I'll start off with Kuvira

Also, I want to add its more of a wasted conflict rather than her being a villain.

TruthSeeker

Truly the hero of Holla Forums

I thought Holla Forums kept impersonating him and pissing him off?

They did but…
Truthseeker pissed off who at the time, was the most infamous poster on the board Sudocuck/Drumpfposter.
Who was took over from Reddipol guy.
Anyways people began siding with Truthseeker because they hated Sudocuck more.
At which point Sudocuck transformed into his second power level:
Tim Hidecker.
A whole lot more people got involved after that so it's best if I stop here.

Not to mention the guy has a whole fucking novel/lore about him now where he's going from country to country discovering secrets of memes and stuff. Here's one chapter

I'll try to piece the lore together the best I can

AND THE FUCKING FUNNY THING IS
I'm paraphrasing and leaving out the novel posts.

I'd read or watch it

My biggest problem with the Brotherhood of Evil arc in TT was that I didn't think it was Beast Boy-centric enough. Robin, Raven, and Cyborg each got their own dedicated story arc dealing with certain villains, but in their cases they got much more emphasis. As far as I can remember, the only Beast Boy episodes in that arc were right at the beginning and the end.

On a side note, how come Starfire never got her own villain arc? Unless you want to count those couple of episodes with Blackfire I dont.

But did they ship Brain and Monsieur Mallah?

Do you expect Korra to have a coherent story and great characters?

I'm here just for the porn

STORY.TIME.FUKKEN.NAO

No, they didn't. Teen Titans stuck to the sixties Doom Patrol, not Grant Morrison's.

Dominator from Wander

…Elaborate, faggot.

...

Not the same user, but I didn't dig how they kept on having her either pull out something or get saved by Wander and Hater screwing up when her enemies got the upper hand.

The idea for Dominator was to have an antagonist who was irredeemable in order to throw a wrench into Wander's "there's good in everyone" mentality. I actually appreciate that they didnt end S2 by having her turn good; that was actually a bold move to make for a kid's show, at least nowadays. The problem was that they made her an annoying mary sue with terrible motivation.

Well no, by the time Kuvira showed up. It's just that she looked like a step-up from Unalaq/Vaatu (JRPG villain with an inconsistent characterization teamed up with a giant walking retcon) and Zaheer (muh chaos, a faulty backstory, a cheap power-up, can somehow rival a master bender even though he's a newbie who spent over a decade in jail). Here we have this lady who has a solid enough case for her campaign who's a master bdlender in her own right. She ends up being an analogue of the nationalist leaders who came to power post-WW1 (Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Franco) but doesn't really do anything to until later on to warrant such hostility from Korra and Co.

Basically this, damn shame season 3 will never be a thing.

Do you realize he spent his whole life studying air benders to the point he knew more about air benders than the current air benders? Kuvira is definitively an step up from Unalaq, but she is there with Amon for wasted potential. Zaheer is still better, even if they somehow fully used her potential.

The problem with Season 4 is that they had to make Korra deal with all the bullshit Zaheer made her go through. If season 4 villains showed up in season 2 where Korra was still reckless and not a confused whiny bitch, it would have been better, but then, we wouldn't had the spirit world plot, which was necessary in my opinion, as shitty as it was. Basically, I think the order is wrong, Zaheer should've been the final villain, while Kuvira should have taught some politics to Korra, Zaheer would have been the spiritual stuff, maybe even a combination of season 2 and 4 After Kuvira someone fucks with the spirit world, that creates Zaheer. No personal struggle shit.

you could do this with like, every villain in korra

Honestly, it wouldn't even be that hard to fix her. They honestly fucked up with her by going so hard and then trying to make her some 'anti-Korra' by trying to remake what was good about Aang and Ozai.

She should have only been an anti-hero at best. Not a full villain. She should have been a dictator who wanted the best for her people and had a loyal bunch of soldiers rather than her just going crazy and getting a mecha. She should have proven herself to be a better leader than Su Yin could ever hope to be, and perhaps even invited Su's kids (her adopted siblings? her siblings-in-law? both?) only for them to realize that she's done more for the Earth Kingdom. Su Yin would have to come to terms with her own failure and realize that she's not the 'good' sibling between her and Lin, and that she's very much the same as Lin and Toph in some way; she runs away from things and isolates herself. She had the chance to bring prosperity to the Earth Kingdom, and instead she made her own little city and didn't touch the Earth Kingdom with a fifty foot pole.

Also, the Equalists should have made another appearance. They had a good point with what happened to them- putting a non-bender president up in office does not erase what happened and was happening to them. Maybe that coul dhave even been Kuvira's biggest enemy. Or, better yet, she actually treated them with respect and dignity, and Su Yin had to deal with the Equalists coming after her for the focus on metalbending that her city has.

Or every conflict in Korra.

How would you have wanted her to be handled instead?

It was planned for the last season, since every character on the team more or less got a season or so dedicated to them. When the last season fell out from under the team Starfire never got her proper season and we were left with that cliffhanger.

Who would Starfire's villain be? Blackfire?

And? Putting aside his faulty backstory the man and his lackeys spent years in a superprison where they should have been too busy trying to stay alive to train. They burst out thanks to Korra getting them free bending and don't really act like their imprisonment impacted their fighting.

I can buy Kuvira as a character way easier than Zaheer.

Not Vaatu. You might even salvage Unalaq, but Vaatu is broken in design. Being an attempt to stick Satan into Avatar.

She needed more screentime. Instead of showing more of the lead antagonist they had the Airbender Kids, Toph's Family Drama, and Verrick being overused since he's the only worthy part of Book Two.

Actually show her struggle harder.

Yeah doesn't the stuff with Blackfire count as Starfire's arc?

Man, all of the main plots in korra were wasted potential. Showing how uniting all of the individual earth states being a bad idea would have been cool but instead we get le giant robot xDDD.

There's also the whole molting thing.
But ah, we'd probably get more stuff of her actual home planet and what happened to it. Maybe she and Blackfire would actually team up to fight the Citadel. Who knows.

I mean what would you have wanted her character to be instead?

Fixing Season 4 of LoK is like fixing a roof of a house that is about to collapse.

Just off the top of my head:

The house had a roof?

Yes and on top of it are two lesbians.

...

My main issue with her was that like many other villains in korra, as soon as their leader gets taken down that all the people who follow them just immediately give up like nobody ever would.

She was supposed to be the villain originally but if they did it than it probably wouldn't have been as popular as it was and joined the ranks of Tangled in the good-but-few-people-care category.

I chalk that up to them knowing the Beast Boy season would be the last season.
Star was supposed to get her own season and have it be about finding her brother Wildfire but the show got canned.
I hate that the Terra season didn't spend at least 1 episode on her actual backstory.

I'm still mad about Amon.
Him being a powerhungry bloodbending criminal doesn't stop the very real issue of a number of people having deadly fucking superpowers while others do not.
He snatched up one of the leaders of the triad and just took away his bending.
As far as villains go he wasn't that evil until the 11th hour.
He like Zaheer was the protagonist of his own story right up until last few moments because you need a villain.

Instead its just

What, princess of Markovia? There's enough princesses around, it's fine this way.

And getting hot dickings from Slade.

Yeah, you'd think the Earth Empire would have remnants and such…oh, that gave me an idea. An Earth Empire equivalent of Big Boss.

Terra here looks like 30something soap opera star. Me don't likey

...

Reason why I liked the DCAU Joker. He's that balanced "deranged serial killer" Joker that the newer incarnations go for while still keeping the "funny criminal clown" side from the Silver Age.

Lol, Slade had to pull her up on that.

This. AtLAB had 3 long arcs to defeating Fire Lord Ozai while Korra beat 4 arc villains in a shorter frame of time.

Amon got defeated too early but his plan also accelerated too quickly. He has exposed the inherent corruption of the system. The Equalist movement wasn't so prevalent when Aang was still alive. Maybe it was because Aang kept the system in check and/or the people of Republic City were too loyal to Aang. Kidnapping the last Airbenders removing their bending on stage is literally Ozai. Also, his plan doesn't seem to extend further than removing the bending of each everyone one-by-one. He blew his cover too easily and he was able to hold his own before he started using his bending. There should be some Equalist remnants. His identity reveal was disappointing and he should remain anonymous if they are sticking to that.

He was foreshadowed. I think that Zaheer should have just been a Air Nomad from a surviving tribe. His people hated the Avatar for abandoning the Air Nomads and perverting their culture.

This. I have no idea why anyone liked Avatar Wan when he brought the biggest retcon in series. Maybe change him to the "Spirit Avatar" and write off the Dark Avatar bullshit as a misunderstanding. The "Spirit Avatar" would be a spirit that bridges the spirit world to the physical world and keeps the balance in the spirit world. He is a human chosen every Equinox by the previous Spirit Avatar. The Avatar's past lives move on to the Spirit world to fix the turmoil there. Wan passes title to them and joins the gang. He is part Aladdin and part Kaworu Nagisa.

Ultimately, Kuvira must be sacrificed and be demoted to a henchman because the series has too much bases to cover.

The Batman's Joker was always my favorite. How does he fare?

He's a bit too…. animalistic. He's got the funny clown shtick down though.

I didn't see past season 1, but he came off as a clown-themed serial killer instead of a crime-themed clown. I have heard the show gets better about it, but most of the season 1 villains lacked nuance in favor of iconism

He definitely has the worst Joker design I've seen, just shy of Leto's Joker.

The one thing that always made me wonder about Amon's plan was how would he remove the bending of future generations? Its implied bending is kind of genetic and skips generations so when a child is born and is a bender would he remove their bending or how would that work?

Amon's plan is born of trauma and psychosis. The future is probably not included in it.
At best, there would be no one to train newcomers in the art of bending

Yeah. He goes from riling up mobs to having fleets of airplanes flying around the city.

He's the leader of some dark and gimmicky version of the White Lotus that Unalaq was a member of (forced attempt to make the Red Lotus look more important and impressive). They apparently tried to kidnap Korra even though there wasn't any signs in earlier books that she didn't live in sure peace under the White Lotus. If you're going to say he's foreshadowed then you can say that about Kuvira since she popped up in Book 3.

They already had an early backstory for the Avatar where he's the spirit of the world born as a man. It didn't come up in TLA but it's still better than Book 2's backstory since it fits in with Avatar's Far Eastern setting.

Where did you learn this from?

Kuvira was a lazy cartoon Hitler.

Amon's real problem? He was a too complex villain and too complex situation for what was an introduction to a new character, namely Korra.

Regardless of whither they would've gotten another season or not, it's best to keep villains simple when presenting a new hero to the audience. That way you can spend more time establishing them so the audience gets to know them and hopefully like them.

Would Korra and Amon have been better if it was a movie instead of a series?

Amon was really a shoddy villain once you put aside his voice acting and and design. From how he pulled resources out of wherever to somehow getting an army to paint Republic City with the blood of bender women and children.

web.archive.org/web/20060709011430/http://www.nick.com/avatar/index.jhtml

It was on Nick's Official TLA Site and DiMartino said in an artbook that it's the Avatar's backstory in the show bible.

When they ended the season with that and the whole "no sokka descendants", gave me big red flags, I was expecting him impregnanting toph, already a slut, so why no? Suki and yue the D can penetrate anything
And why did toph turned into a fucking chief of police? That shit doesnt make sense, sokka being chief made more sense.

Didnt he had supporters from all economic status?

I just read it. That alone made more sense than the jumbled mess of season 2.

He had Sato funding him and building weapons for him. Its funny they could've played a class war type of thing since the Equalists could be seen as an allegory for early 20th century socialists/communists.

If they only used…

Damn this Terra is fucking cynical and mean spirited. I bet the fans of this comic went full sperg when they saw Teen Titans cartoon for the first time just like when fans of Teen Titans Cartoon saw Teen Titans Go.

What I don't like is that how the writers make old characters from previous series ended up being so miserable in Korra. It's like seeing a reunion episode of an old beloved TV series only to find out the main character and his love interest split up and the supporting character turned into deadbeat drunk. Edgy much?

It's funny, because it seems Teen Titans Go's Terra is closer to canon than Teen Titans Terra is.

Meant in Book 1 where Korra isn't adventuring around unlike the other Avatars.

I'm not home so I'm stuck with mobile. Anyway introducing the spirit of darkness was stupid and opening the spirit portals in the end is stupid. I think parts of Book 2 and 3 should just be merged removing the retarded elements. Still the first step is fixing Book 1.

Amon being supported by Papa Sato doesn't mean he should have such an army in so little episodes.

Personally, I liked his design. It actually fit with the whole monkey-kung fu fighting style he had. Though Penguin on the other hand should not be able to do Kung-fu flips.

But everyone is kung fu in Jackie Chan verse. How would Batman fair against Jackie Chan?

It depends, is jackie chan holding a baby while fightning batman?

I swear there was a drawfag image already presenting a situation like it.

That would be fun to see. It could then be used as a segue for Jackie vs the Jojos. A time traveling Jackie Chan must save his girlfriend from the vampire Dio, but first he must defeat each of the Joestars throughout time before he can uncover Dio's hideout.

Batman has prep time, which allowed him to goad Chan into fighting him in an abandoned factory where no babies could be held.
Unfortunately for Batman, it was a ladder factory

Judging from the pic..he didn't beat Ryoma Nagare, Goku, Kenshiro and Kamen Rider 1.

What if Jackie Chan's stand was a baby?
holding a ladder?

Chan would deflect his bullets with his fist, but then collide with Abe Lincoln and get taken out by a Care Bear

What if Jackie Chan holding a baby fought Ripped Shirt Kirk?

They're offscreen, thrown far away into the other side of the universe.

What movie did that pic from?

Yeah, almost forgot Segata Sanshiro, Domon Kasshu, Master Asia, Akuma and Kars.

The Protector (1985).
Jackie's second attempt at breaking into the American market. There's a different cut he made for the Chinese release where he reshot all the fights.

The poster is by Chris Achilleos, whose art used to be on every comic shop wall, before social justice rendered him an un-person, because of his toxic masculinity.

WOAH.

Check my quints!

checked

This is why Holla Forums has no meme magic.

With Amon just being a bending prodigy is far FAR better than "AMON WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG HE WAS A MYSTERIOUS SAGE ANTI-AVATAR" that's silly if he's just a villain. The fact that he was not only just a bender, but one of the best benders to have ever lived, and clearly surpassed a number of Avatars, puts emphasis on just how misguided and how tragic the character was.

Amon would've been a hero had he been born at the height of of the Fire Nations conquest.

Hell, you know how I would've done Amon? Have him be this guy with a vast network of cells, with body doubles posing as Amon while the real guy works to take down the Avatar from within (posing as a very non-assuming member of Team Avatar…until the reveal)

Amon should have just been a visionary non-bender who made a pact with Koh or some other spirit to carry out a plot to build a new kingdom.

Bitch, those were quints.

Also he would have had a different life and not have started his revolution as a result.

The bending thing is a non-issue you moron, it's part of the world all the people ever knew.

I was thinking about how he suppose to be an idea not just a person.

It became an issue when the only thing identify from the country of origin is their bending. Republic City's system of government heavily favors benders or outsiders with its representative system.

How would the firenation have liked him. He despised benders.

And play it out like Noatak is just one of many "Amon's" (Amon itself is a pseudonym) body doubles so each season, each Amon's MO would be different.

...

Jeez, Emperor Daibazaal looks bad in this one

this is old enough a reference, I'm not sure what kind of cancer making this reference is…

...

I always thought that he kept Starscream around as a message to other potential traitors in the group. "You see how easily I can kick Starscream's ass. Cross me and you get what Starscream gets" and really..Megs just want a punching bag, he even has an alarm to let him know what time it is to be a dick to Starscream.

That would get old fast. Save that for the last season. I thought Amon's plan should be something more than just holding up every bender and removing their bending. Maybe somehow interact with the Red Lotus?

Have the Red Lotus be like a part of the major organization. Like the Equalist is one part, the Red Lotus is another, the true Amon can be like the Avatar equivalent of Great Leader from Kamen Rider.

...

It was stupid of them to kill him off so early.

The IDW comics seem to have handled this well, I'd say.

Starscream as Megatron's masochistic bitch boy? I dunno if I could call that handled well or not.

Well…

...

...

...

He has pretty good reasons for being humble today.

I didn't really see that, I heard people saying that, but the truth seemed different, but I guess that's one of the reasons why people say Korra sucks

The Arkham games were overly obsessed with the Joker

Nice storytime

Basically, the non-benders in Republic City had no sovereignty or were treated as stateless people because Republic City wasn't an independent state.

To bad they didn't make that clear in the show

there are non-benders that belong to those nations, IE sokka being a non-bender from the water tribe, if a earth nation non bender had a grievance it would still be the earth guys job to look into it and fight for him.
only ACTUAL nationless people (republic city natives that are not connected to a particular lineage or an obscure one like fah-gi swamp) are not represented.

The whole Equalist fight was really a failed attempt to ape X-Men in a setting
that wasn't for it. There wasn't any signs in TLA of conflict between benders and non-benders to get to the point where Amon can get an army to go on a bender murder spree. Even in LoK we didn't see any actual signs of actual societal bender on non-bender dickery as opposed stuff like those triad goons.

If they were trying to say there was societal bender on non-bender dickery then they should have had Lin supporting or enabling stuff like those triads.

Sokka was one of the founders of Republic City and he had ties to the Southern Water Tribe. What I meant was the Republic City born non-benders have no ties to any of the four nations and live a country controlled by the four nations.

I thought Republic City was its own country though? Its weird with the United Forces since its not clear if they serve Republic City or are like a UN military type of thing.

They should've stopped it at season one and call it a day.

Except he hasn't killed anyone or tried to kill anyone.
Non-bender curfews and qi-blocking bans.

Think of it as Hong Kong but technically under the jurisdiction of three/four countries.

He was unstoppable until the show had him resort to using bending. I would have played off the self-hating bender angle more with having a deeper darker backstory and him refusing to use his bending outside removing other people's bending or defending against his brother's blood bending.

Wasn't that a result of the Equalists actions so Tarlok ordered that stuff to happen?

Qi-blocking stuff existed way before the equalists shit, he was taking a way to defend yourself against benders
But yeah, they didnt show much bender vs notbender fights and discussion in the show.

'The Ultimate Showdown' is goon material, you can't get much more cancerous than that

I remember that from my highschool days.

The impression I got was while a lot of jobs were Bender-only, you wouldn't necessarily get much prestige from it, especially since lightningbenders' job was basically to be a living battery all day.

It might work if you play off the nationalistic tensions of it in a city that's seperate from the traditional nations; benders used to be proud symbols of their national identity, especially Firebenders, and as a result played off those of the other nations to varying extents, especially after a century-long war. But now, fire, earth and waterbenders are suddenly thrown together in one city rubbing shoulders with people whom their grandparents died fighting.

It should have started with those kind of ethnic tensions, especially from people whose only connection to their ancestral homelands is their bending; themed street gangs re-enacting ancient half-forgotten feuds, Earthbenders on the way home from factory jobs running into Firebenders from the power plant and getting in a brawl over their old king trying to literally holocaust the Earth Kingdom years ago, Airbenders being either nervous as hell or obnoxious as fuck about being rare and special heirs to a near-extinct tradition and having an even bigger grudge against Firebenders, nationalist groups from all four parties and then some…

If you've got drunk superpowered louts duking it out in the streets over old country grudges and prejudice than an Equalist movement makes a fuckload of sense, even before you get people jealous of those with powers that give them access to jobs and opportunities nobody else gets.

That is interesting unfortunately there's some comic that contradicts that. There's a Avatar comic that shows Aang trying to give the territory that would become Republic City but the people don't want to go back because they like their own rule and the governor of the city married an earthbender with an earthbender daughter and doesn't want to be part of the Earth Kingdom.

What was it that Kuvira wanted anyway? A united Earth Republic instead of an Earth Kingdom or a number of small scattered city-states? Isn't that exactly what they got in the end? So basically everything that she did was utterly pointless and she could have just sat back and have things fall right into place for her.

Not really what happened in the end was that the Earth Kingdom split into different democratic city states. I think Kuvira wanted a United Earth Kingdom kind of like a United China under Chang Kai Shek.

Oh OK, then I didn't remember it correctly. I thought it was more like a federal republic, where the states have some degree of decision of their own, but there is still the central government that makes the big decisions.

What gave you guys that idea? She explicitly said that doesn't want her country to ever feel weak or vulnerable. She was a fascist. She was only interested in her own country thus explaining how she isn't interested in having a war with the Avatar.

She kinda made sense considering that the last ruler, the Earth Queen, was a tyrant and the prince is a fop. Fuck it, why not let her have her warrior's heaven? Again, I am really hoping that someone made an Earth Empire version of Big Boss. I got a backstory going too.

OK, here's the deal. Dude's part of Kuvira's bodyguards, totally devoted to her (some might say, he had feelings for her too) and on the eve where everyone was celebrating, this guy led a commando team of loyal supporters to bust Kuvira out from jail to continue the fight only for her to still be in her pity party and such, considered to betray the guy's faith in her (and the ideal of an Earth Empire) Broken by the betrayal, he decided to form his own empire, an empire where soldiers are always needed and he calls it…External Paradise (OK, name is in progress)

OK, a little explanation on Great Leader's part. See, in the old KR series (from the original to Black RX), the major villain organization always happened to be led by Great Leader, a mysterious enigmatic force of evil (except in KR Spirits where Great Leader is basically a proto-Decade, with him having the abilities of the 9 earlier Riders plus ZX, which funny when they finally have Great Leader be Decade in one movie)

I wasn't meaning to contradict that at all; thinking more of the repercussions of Republic City's multicultural status in a setting that's recovering from a century-long war, and people of all different nations thrown together outside of their home cultures in which the cultural superpowers were well integrated. At least, a better excuse for why people start seeing bending as the enemy; the rich see a threat to their power, the state a danger to their monopoly on force, the regular people a bunch of dangerous hooligans with built in weapons.

Kuvira was basically rule 63 Chairman Mao. The result was probably gonna be something similar. Though clearly they didn't flesh out well enough that a state ruled by one person's whims with zero accountability is going to hell fast.

Basically, people only liked her for dominating Korra and yes in the porno way.

Republic City was a result of a failed attempt to reintegrate people into the Earth Kingdom. Republic City was based on places like Shanghai, Hong Kong, and New York where people go there to "make it big".

You're really stretching to make Amon's apparent following less contrived. I'll point out that benders haven't been especially higher in wealth or status than non-benders from what's shown and aren't a group historically seperated from a racial, ethnic, or creed majority like Jews or Black Americans.

They had Kuvira open concentration camps we never see and get talk from her enemies that she goes too far.

On second thought, with all the Great Leader stuff, I would've made the main bad guy be some kind of Anti-Avatar or something.

Up didn't need its villain.

The talking dogs and the villain were completely unneeded when it could've easily been a story about survival and shit.

There's a porn where Korra is cucking Kuvira's husband while Kuvira's husband sits in the corner flustered.

There's also one where the kids are doing it.

What the fuck lol
Is that one of the reasons people say Holla Forums is a commie shithole? I don't go there but it'd kinda funny knowing this shit is going on here.

Yeah, now they have a personal vendetta against us, if you see people spamming threads like waifu threads, temple threads or anything that reeks of cancer, call them out on it and spam the report button.

Why is there such a division Holla Forums and Holla Forums?

(Pic semi-related)

Mods on Holla Forums went postal September 2016, basically gave Goons the keys to the palace.

Template*

She could've at least find a more interesting begging to your conspiracy theory.

Im indifferent, but it did give us a pretty good action sequence.

It's media Holla Forums, what the hell are you talking about?

Holla Forums used to be a very different place early 2016, when the mods changed the header to include every form of media besides the kitchen sink, a flood of goons poured upon it killing what little community it originally had.

Now it's just media Holla Forums but before it was something completely different.

I remember that. After the mods left the place to rot it got flooded by anime and all sorts of shit. I wonder why I still go there sometimes.

Its basically just Holla Forums with a topic header

What porn doesn't involve people cucking her?

LoK's fandom have shitty tastes in porn.

People cant make good porn out of shitty characters

Fair point.

A little weird given several episodes of TLA literally focus on Fire Nation hellhole prisons and concentration camps, specifically designed to contain and wipe out people with different styles of bending. And they implicitly wiped out the Airbenders first because you can't hold them prisoner. (suddenly makes it all the more ironic that Aang's ultimate punishment for Ozai was to remove his bending)

Figures that the supposed darker and edgier sequel has less balls than the original in showing the bad guys doing bad things.

Kuvira was a stronk womyn that was totally unbelievable as a character even in the trainwreck that was LOK.

Everything was unbelievable

I wouldn't say she's more unbelievable than Zaheer or Unalaq.

Ruthless competent woman commander. That is more unbelievable than bending or anything else in the show. That her husband was an effeminate pansy also worked Kuvira in creating this unbelievable feminist power figure.
Looking up to her for her supposed facism is hilarious considering what her entire character was designed to deliver. In fact the entirety of book 4 was nothing but a parade of stronk womyn with every male, every single one, relegated to a tertiary status.

Honestly, the whole she's an evil counterpart to Korra bugged me since neither are that similar. They have very diffferent personalities.

Y'know, you faggots whine and bitch about how ruthless women are all day (and apparently very competent at it too), but the second one gets put into a military uniform you start to whine and bitch because all womyn are weak and fragile.
Nah, the reason Kuvira was unbelievable is because she was supposed to act like a calculating, strong, selfish power-monger, yet her motivations for everything were childish, desperate, confused, and just completely opposed to what her character was supposed to be.
In essence, she was portrayed as a female power fantasy when in fact she was a male sexual fantasy all along. That's what's wrong with her.

Its really just one user complaining about it, cool your jets.

What a fag

None of her feminist shit was ever questioned or treated as wrong. Only the facisism was treated badly. This is how you should know the point of her character was to sell fem power while attacking facisism.

That's because she had no feminist shit. She did everything she did alongside her fiance. The fact she happened to be a chick doesn't mean she was selling feminism. At no point did she pull any 'GRILLS RULE' crap.

She didn't have to. I find it hilarious you are trying to pretend LOK wasn't full of feminist messages simply because they didn't come right out and shout girl power.

how blind can you be?

just let the thread die

So what! Feminist messages obviously didn't turn you into a feminist, so why does it fucking matter?

'Boo hoo girls do things in the cartoon, damn feminists!'
Christ.

Worthless opinion coming from someone whose sexual perspective can only possibly derive from homosex seeing as you clearly have zero experience with women.

They did things in The Last Airbender too, but they weren't men with tits as they are in LOK. Kuvira is female in body only, everything else about her is masculine. Same for all the other metal benders. Korra as well, her only feminine characteristic is being bitchy.

wew

personally I am okay with the feminism in LOK, and the ending with Korra and Asami was sexy as hell. you have to be homosexual not to enjoy that.

sure is tumblr in here

At what point is she made sympathetic? Do you think that because she has an emotional breakdown she is sympathetic?
Kuvira had no "feminist shit" going on, other than her superficial stronk womyn portrayal, which as was pointed out, is completely bogus, so why whine about it?
You are obviously from Holla Forums and are salty because Holla Forums faggots told you that LoK is femikikism or some shit, but honestly, how is Kuvira's peculiar variation of "fascism" treated as wrong? She lost, but that's a given.
That's literally all that's depicted as far as fascism goes. If you think a disservice is made just for showing it, then I'm afraid you are the one who thinks fascism is wrong.

The point of her character was not to make feminism while attacking fascism. If you wanted to do that, then the antagonist would have been male, the struggle would have been explicitly ideologized and Kuviro would have lost because of his ideals, not in spite of them.
She is just a weak bitch that was passed off as a stronk womyn to sell. She was a fascist because Amon was a communist, Unalaq was a theocratic reactionary and Zaheer was an anarchist. Everyone diverging from the status quo was shit on, why did you think you would be the exception?

Can someone explain me when a character is a female power fantasy or a male power fantasy?
Its kind of funny because everytime you see a nice looking character some faggots scream POWER FANTASY!

I'm curious, what exactly do you think the feminists messages of LoK are?
If womyn being depicted in a way you disagree with is tantamount to wrongism, then I'm afraid you are a SJW by any other name.

Wew.
The only reason why Toph was feminine at all was because she struggled with her identity and felt to be more tomboyish. Because she was young and finding herself. It's perfectly valid for older people like Korra to not have that struggle. That doesn't make them 'men' user.
Lin is a typical career woman who decides to not settle down or have children because she's so focused on said career. Su Yin is a typical mother bear, she just happened to be successful because she was the daughter of Toph. Neither of these characters would have worked as men; Lin's refusal to settle down and become a mother is a large part of her personality. Su Yin's motherhood and whether or not she was a bad mother is also a large part of her character.
Kuvira herself is neutral in how she is as a character until you hit her relationship with Su Yin. The mother-daughter relationship that never formed is her entire character arc. It wouldn't have been the same if it was a son cast out by someone who's supposed to be his mother.

In Freudian terms, a sexual fantasy is someone you'd like to fuck, a power fantasy is someone you'd like to kill.
In Lacanian terms, sexual fantasy refers to individuals exhibiting symbols that you would like to associate with an other, power fantasy refers to individuals exhibiting symbols that you would like to associate with a self.
Or in just conventional terms, sexual fantasy is when a character resembles your idealized concept of the opposite sex, while power fantasy is when a character resembles your idealized concept of your own sex.

Time to take a break from the internet, user.

Maybe we have a different idea of what masculine entails. To me, masculine women are women who are pumped with testosterone or other biologically male substances. Anything else is outside the purview of gender, as far as I can tell.
In any case, I never said whether I liked or disliked them, whether sexually or otherwise.

In case your idea of masculine women extends to things unrelated to gender as to what their talents and sources of joy are, then, I'm afraid I can't blame all those horrible feminists when they bitch about assholes not letting them do whatever the fuck they want to.

Toph was a shitty character too even in the original series. The only thing salvaging her scenes was that she was funny. Her tomboyishness was played for laughs, not treated seriously.
If by typical you mean non-existent.
No, she is straight up a man in a woman's body.

No, it is someone strong you would like to be like or someone you live vicariously through.

You say this like Kuvira was some tame mildly competent woman of which there are thousands of examples of. You know, instead of a man in a woman's body, which is what Kuvira was. There was nothing feminine about her outside of her body. If you don't find a problem with that, then it is you and not I who needs to take a break from the internet, because you don't even know what women are like in real life.

That is a type of masculine woman, sure. I guess this ignorance of yours stems from egalitarian delusions you hold where you ignore how certain personality characteristics are masculine or feminine, and instead you pretend like they are all equally exchangable between the sexes.
You couldn't make it any more obvious that you are a feminist.

Tell me what part of Kuvira makes her absolutely a man in a woman's body, user.

Also, this is going to scare you, but a quarter of all women never have children.

Stop writing exactly the same and all responding to me like a hivemind and maybe you won't be accused of samefagging?
The part where she acts like a man 100% of the time. If you don't even know what acting like a man means, you are too far gone and there is no agreement that can be had between us. I mean that is pretty much obvious from the start, since you liked LoK afterall.
Oh no! Are you under the impression that feminine is just means having a baby?

These are the sort of people that, in Freudian terms, you want to kill. And it has nothing to do with strength but with power.
Then again, Freud was more of a will to pleasure than will to power guy, power being considered as a gateway to pleasure.

Both of those term dont sound like a bad thing.

Why exactly should I care about anything a hack like Freud said? People want power fantasy so they can live vicariously through it. People reading Conan don't want to kill Conan. They want to be Conan, or at least enjoy the spectacle of someone like Conan. The same is true for Kuvira and feminists who want to be in power over men, to be strong, etc. It is something they can't achieve in reality, so they live vicariously through the characters that do that. Sure they don't agree with everything about Kuvira, nor do they need to. Not everyone who likes Conan agrees with everything he does either.

It's not as long as you realize they are fantasies.

What a contrarian faggot. You probably unironically believe you know more about psychology (and while we are at it, gender, sex, and the psychological characteristics of men and women) than the man who invented the discipline. You are the only hack here, user.
Nice trips doe

Pretty sure that existed for thousands and thousands of years. Your worship of this one man's opinion on human psychology is noted though. Careful around cigars, they can be penises sometimes.

Sure just like medicine and engineering, and I suppose that means you have the same chances of survival in surgery and internal combustion engines than you did thousands of years ago, right?

I said your worship of Freud's opinion about human psychology was noted.

sexual fantasies usually are easier to write, but both cases make the character the representation of what you want from the genre they represent.
Some people complain because, in their opinion, there are more power fantasies as male characters in fiction, and more sexual fantasies as female characters in fiction.

Your unconvincing pretentiousness is noted too.
Feel free to use your psychological skills to make a compelling argument anytime.

Those people are wrong. Go to any non-book store that carries books, the majority will be written for women with sexualized men on every cover.

A compelling argument about what? I am saying I don't care much for Freud's opinions on psychology, because a lot of them are twisted and miss the mark. You adore him, because he is celebrated and his opinions elevated by sycophants throughout the years.
You even went as far as to compare his retarded opinions about human psychology to developments as great as the combustion engine, something that took hard science to invent, not "little girls see their brother's penis and are envious". Freud was a perverted cokehead.

well they are right to a certain extent, but that just reflects the differences between males and females. Females are attracted sexually to power, so even male power fantasies double as sexual fantasies for them.

That is relatively a new thing.

Your opinions on science are baffling and evidence a complete ignorance of how scientific progress actually happens.
I don't adore Freud and actual criticism is valid (no "he was a poopy degenerate"), but he was the Newton of psychology, in that he was wrong about a number of things and had some eccentric opinions, but set the bases for most we have modernly developed in the field. For all your babbling about "hard science", psychologically you are still at the point where you think that heavier objects fall faster and things need to be continually pushed to be moved. And then you go worship (or in this case, condemn) commercial results like the combustion engine as if you knew what the fuck even goes on in that thing.

I've only commented on Freud, faggot. Sorry, I didn't realize he was your waifu.
Yet you get upset when he is called a hack. What did he accomplish other than having a lot of wrong opinions about human psychology? Oh, they are right because people pretend they are right? Even if they don't actually make sense when examined?
Most of his opinions on human psychology all boil down to sex. It is funny that up until the 20th century, the world wasn't completely sex crazed. Then Freud is like "it's all about sex" and now for millions and millions it is. Funny how that worked, huh?
Hahahahahaha

Talking out of you ass, all of your opinions discarded.

Romance novels are not that new.

Nigger, I discarded you when you claimed Freud is equivalent to Newton. How delusional can you fucking be? You went on to pretend like I said anything bad about the combustion engine, instead of calling you out for daring to compare a perverted cokehead's opinions about human psychology to an invention used by billions.

Still talking out of your ass, and now have no reading comprehension whatsoever to boot.
Your opinions are still wrong and still in the trash.

...

No fun allowed, damn those people

That's funny how you say that since the show got praise from SJWs for how progressive it is.

She's a shameless crook who enabled the chaos.

Do you have a point?

...

Your a not making thr argument any better for yourself.

Holla Forums confirmed for stormtumblr

Hey Holla Forums

tv is filled with SJWs?

fuck off

The male power fantasy is just a way to weasel around the observation that males are physically idealized in fiction along with females.

...

The problem I have with the entire criticism of the Barbie doll line is that they only talk about her looks, and nothing else. As someone put it, the character has had nearly every single job (With some requiring years of schooling, and/or for one to have strong mental and physical capabilities), so why it's such a controversial toy line is beyond me.

They need something to complain about or else they lose their jobs.

This

People dont read anymore

What are you whining about? They only win fights against the jobbers tenzin handles ALL of them at the same time. Explosion-girl has always been a hax bullshit power akin to water bending so she doesn't need to keep in fighting shape to compete, lavabending is also near hax-tier, and even with two specialty benders they end most of their fights by running away.

They haven't really had much focus on the 'can do anything/everything' Barbie since the 80s last I checked, mind. Then again, toy stores put a lot of effort into seperating the pink from the blue.

The gender politics of toys are funny. Nerf's approach has been goddamn hilarious; maybe a line of extremely girly guns based on bows and flintlock pistols, escalating to the same level of insanity as their other lines with revolver bows and corner-shooting pistols.

Do they ever explain how the explosion bending came into existence? Kind of preferred it when it was just that one guy who did it.

Considering Zuko had a similar (explosive) effect when he first tried to lightningbend, my theory is that combustionbending (as Sokka apparently calls it) is an expansion upon that imperfect form of lightningbending, likely developed originally by accident.

I think using Korra as a bad example of anything is cheating. Literally its only redeeming feature was the porn.

It's believable but rarely done right.

It has some ok designs i guess

Amon's design was good. Everything else is just kinda bland body armor or dull colored asian clothes. Don't even get me started on the dumb designs for the spirits or that fucking giant robot.

Since they both had similar tattoos I figured there was either a ceremony to celebrate someone who had it or was some ancient way of finetuning it.

I gave up on all ancient lore when bryke went hogwild with retcons, all of the retcons that came with avatar wan were fucking intense:

And korra breaking the line of connection between her reincarnations didn't make sense and was completely unnecessary, I thought reincarnations were YOU how can you separate yourself from yourself? Why do we need to permanently close the door to old avatar advice? If you don't want to do it just don't do it but crippling that ability is overkill.

Also fuck the spirits, genocidal maniacs the first avatar was a complete pushover wasting so many time trying to get those assholes to be peaceful they're fucking murderous invaders.

Two corrections, I should've said explosion bending and a meant to say blood bending instead of water bending.

The Legend of Korra never had a chance because girl power agenda and George Lucas Syndrome

There was a glimmer of potential. People believed that there was a theoretical original Gospel written by Jesus himself. What we (or just me) are doing is theorizing the uncucked version of the story if it was handled with the same cate as AtLAB.

That's called writing fanfiction. Which Korra basically is already.

...

Can you not Mike.

True, but seeing Korra getting her mind broke and fucked silly does only so much.

Yeah, the outfits in LoK don't really have that flare that ATLA's designs had. Granted 70(?) years may have passed within the ATLA's universe, and clothing styles may have changed, but the way LoK designed it, it looks too modernized and out of place for an Asiatic setting. Then again, the whole idea of the show being set up in a Prohibition esque era with only minimal Asiatic/Wuxia themes really throws off everything that ATLA had established.

There was maybe potential, but too bad there was no one to kill Bryke's darlings, and keep them from doing retarded shit.

Yeah, to be honest…it used to be exciting seeing Korra getting her mind broken and fucked silly but it doesn't change the fact that the series is still shit. The only way I can think of that can salvage this series is if they retcon everything from Season 2…and go full Giant Robo on the follow up series

That or redoing Books 2-4 while breaking down Korra's character and then building it back up along with bringing back the original writers would've maybe saved the show from being total shit.

You know user, you don't need to use ellipses for all your responses.

Force of habit, sorry.

I'm sure the crew has defended most of that as "totes the point. #Season3"

No worries.

It was a proposed hook for the movie before muh vagina joined

I should really check my post, I meant retcon everything from Book 2 onwards. Basically, goodbye Ravaa, Wan (hell, we could even had it retconned that Wan is a well known bullshitter and Beginnings is just Wan's bullshit stories), the Red Lotus (even if it means goodbye most metal death scene in a cartoon) and goodbye Korrasami!

That forced environmental shit with the spirits pissed me off. It felt so forced rather than the more natural way of handling it in ATLA. Fuck the spirits.

Its like you want a MALE avatar to tell our strong independent womyn avatar what to do! Fuck that shit

It's not like the female Avatar is any helpful or did we forget about Rip n Tear Kiyoshi?

The only other female Avatar I can think of was the female Airbender but she told Aang to kill Ozai and based on what I've read of her she didn't agree with a lot of the airbender teachings.

Book 1 was meh at best. Between probending, the Korra/Asami/Mako/Bolin trash, the portrayal of the Equalists (less rounded as a faction than the Fire Nation), how they handled Amon (complete with his trash backstory), and Korra herself being a trash Affirmative Action protagonist.

This

It's not like there isn't plenty of Asian fashion and clothing from the 19th and 20th centuries to take ideas from.

Nice triple dubs.

I think the core issue here is that they aged up the characters, and instead of an interesting story about young people adventuring and having to grow up fast, while underlined by the relative innocence of the protagonists in a big scary world, it fell head-first into teenage anime cliches of the worst kind.

Really hated how LoK handled the spirits and spirit world. In ATLA, it's a good mixture, and there was reasons why some spirits were pissed off (like the panda one), and some were legends that rarely do anything or appear (The Painted Lady).

Pretty much, and it's a shame that the series didn't really start off as a journey of sheltered spoiled brat who matures/struggles through her adventures. Instead we got Korra and other stupid shit like the metal robot, her breaking the connection to her reincarnations, and her getting on with the girl that she cucked in the beginning of Book 1.

There's plenty, but researching must be difficult for them. So they resort to make bland designs, and hipster looking characters.

There really wasn't enough Kiyoshi in LoK. She's clearly the best avatar.

That is disgusting.

Fast forward

Progressive cultural appropriation is still progressive I guess.

Well, I like Art Deco city, shame that Republic City feels empty most of the time.

The spirits in TLA were shown as alien creatures beyond the worries of men. LoK made them far too mundane.

And the sequel shows spirits largely treating humans like ants at best in Wan's past, yet glosses over the dangers from spirits after keeping open the portals after Season 2. We see tangles around the city but Korra gets indignant at getting confronted about that and runs away with Asami into Spirit World.

I hate that cunt so much because of that. She's the only one who knows that the spirits almost genocided the human race and humans have to run off to the protection of turtles, she knows all of this, AND WITH NO PROMPTING FROM ANYONE decides to fucking open the spirit world gates.

There's everyone reason not to do it and not a single god damn reason to do it.

What a laugh.

Surely she was better than Vaatu?

Fuck spirits indeed. Book 2 needed Korra to learn an important lesson in the end so fuck book 2 because that is the worst time to learn that lesson. I think that the spirits turning dark had something to do about it but I don't see how this is better.

Book 1 and 3 are the only one worth salvaging. Aang took 3 long "books" to defeat the Fire Lord. Korra fought 4 Fire Lords in 4 short "books." That problem gets worse when each Fire Lord requires them to introduce at least one big MacGuffin.

Honestly you could solve a lot of the issue just by making it all into one big book.
Have it all about conspiracies and the Equalists. That's the underlying problem of everything that follows them around, and the Red Lotus is a large part of that conspiracy. Different Amons possibly like some other user mentioned a while back. Kuvira can be a character finished and ended in her own book without becoming a mecha-owning Hitler-Mussolini-Stalin combo; she units the Earth Kingdom, forces Su Yin to not ignore the problems going on in the nation by playing passive, forces the Prince to accept that he'll have to abandon his place on the throne, and ultimately leads China to a better place.

I think Kuvira pisses me off the most because it really is so much lost potential. Imagine a whole book that is essentially the Chinese Maoist revolution. Imagine a whole book with imagery like pics related.

I mean Earth Kingdom.
I'm sounding like a Maoist here. Fuck. Before Holla Forums lynches me, that's one way to show Kuvira's villainy. She starves the people even if she believes it's for the best. They didn't have to make her have unseen concentration camps to show how she wasn't a good person.

So you mentioned the Equalists and the Red Lotus are vying for power. Are they enemies or allies or something in this new story?

Well, until he gets airbending in some shitty asspull, the leader of the Red Lotus is a non-bender. I'd say they're allies. Given that they're anarchists, they'd hate Kuvira despite her stepping up to restore order in an anarchist, government-less Earth Kingdom, and they'd probably do anything they can to further the emancipation and rights of nonbenders. Maybe you could even say Zaheer himself takes up the face of the leader of the Equalist movement.

They should be more of big bads because not only are they targeting Korra directly, but it's possible they have something of a point. Non-benders are discriminated against and treated as inferior. And make this directly tie into Korra herself rather than just them randomly deciding to target her– She was sheltered in Book 1 before making an escape to see Republic City. Why? Maybe the Red Lotus was actively trying to murder her.

The problem with LoK is that it tries too hard to establish a villain but ends up creating characters who have points. It's even worse because there's a lot of potential in there. mentions that Yin and Yan are the paradox of harmony and change, not LoK's attempt at making them good v evil. Yin and Yang could have easily been brought into the series not only by the balance of change and harmony in the time Korra lives in (accepting change that must happen while keeping harmony that Kuvira and the Equalists/Red Lotus threaten), but as a contrast to ATLA. ATLA was all about harmony. Aang brought harmony and peace to the world after the Fire Nation took control. In LoK, harmony took hold but now it's change that needs to and is happening.

There's also the fact LoK relies too much on showing us bad people and making us try to sympathize. They've got their villains and good guys mixed up, honestly. We're supposed to feel for the young housewife who admits to being a homewrecker who ruined Tenzin's past relationship because she wanted him that bad, for example. But the worst is the prince we're supposed to feel for because he's silly and upset because he lost all his privileges as royalty. There was little to no focus on the peasants and oppressed classes. Why did we see so little of the actual non-benders being oppressed in Republic City? Why did we see so little of the lower class of the Earth Kingdom who were starving and living in poverty? It makes no goddamn sense.

Agreed man. LOK reminds me of the prequels in that regard it has interesting concepts but horrible execution. That and the whole multiple villains for the protagonist to fight rather than one central bad guy.

Wouldn't it also work if the books had their own villain that actually lead upto the big bad in the final book?

I don't grade different flavors of shit.

true that would work better. Though who would the big bad be in korra's case? Vaatu? Kuvira? I wonder if they should've done parallel arcs for LOK like they did for Aang and Zuko. Or would that be too much of the "pottery it rhymes" thing?

Kuvira seems more like an underling or a pawn that needs her teeth kicked in. So it's either vaatu or red lotus.

Kuvira and Vaatu should never have existed. There is no salvaging anything to do with them. Zaheer and the Red Lotus were good. Amon was good. The rest were trash. Zaheer should have just been Aang's bastard son instead of getting airbending through an asspull. Like the Red Lotus got Aang drunk one night, got someone knocked up in order to get access to air bending. Then Zaheer was raised in that environment hating his father he never knew.

Have Amon bring about a war between benders and equalists, and then have Zaheer step in leading a lot more members of the Red Lotus to take advantage of the situation and create anarchy. Have his debut be interrupting the fight with Amon and seemingly killing off Korra. Then Amon becomes a third wheel in hiding with the shattered remnants of the equalists, while the main fight is against Zaheer.

Or even a kidnapped infant brother the other Aang children don't mention.

If you are going for Aang's kid angle, you could even go with a switched a birth route. Bumi looked nothing like his father (I think that it is just lazy character design.).
I prefer the idea that I gave here.
Plus, they can do the whole bringing back the Air Nomads thing. I suspect that Tenzin was suppose to die protecting the Air Nomads in Season 3 Episode 11. I remember hearing that the title of the episode being "Little Brother" instead of "The Ultimatum."

Zaheer as Aang's lost kid? That's actually a good story idea. I used to remember when folks thought Amon was actually Aang's kid too.

What do you mean by that? Because I fucking love Giant Robo.

Set in like a 1950's setting, go over the top with bending like how Giant Robo goes over the top with the Magnificent 10 guys (eg, have an Airbender that can slice mother fuckers by snapping his fingers etc.).

That is such a abuseable plot device. That is why I hate it.

All she basically did was not gave up on him.
>implying it wasn't Toph who secretly sabotaged their relationship to avoid an incestuous relationship
Seriously though I like to think that Toph wasn't just being a slut but she subconsciously compared her lovers to Sokka.

The Equalist movement could only work in Republic City but Amon was a more compelling villain than Zaheer.

To bring back this thread, here's one: Harley breaking up with the Joker.
Harley was always a bad person. Before the Joker, she slept her way through her university to get straight A's, and used those grades to get into Arkham with the hopes of getting rich off lousy, shitty self-help books. She was just an average bad person, but the Joker brought out what was always there. And she became an even better villain than him in some senses– she was able to manipulate Batman and nearly kill him, she broke out the Joker in a surprisingly skilled way, and if anything, the Joker began to hold her down from becoming a better villain.

Harley breaking up with him should not have been her trip back to being good. It should have been her going to becoming a full-fledged villain in her own right, more dangerous than she was without the Joker. Maybe her whole schtick could be her being a self-help "therapist" of types, with a focus on love and sex since she'd still be heartbroken and screwed up. But to make her a fucking female Deadpool was a goddamn mistake.

Being an average shitty person who flunked psychology does not make a genius villain.

If every shitty asshole fucked up by the joker turned into some supermega villain there would be a Jokertropolis.

Harley is also kinda stupid. It's part of her character. She took advantage of Batmans Nievitey, which is decent but she's no criminal masterminds who needs no man.

But yes, Female Deadpool stand in is 12 different flavors of cancer.

Faggot, I didn't try to say she's a genius villain because she slept her way to getting good grades.
I said that she was just a regular shitty bad person at that point. But then she manipulated the fuck out of Batman and got closer to killing him than the Joker ever did, and only failed because the Joker lashed out. She was also able to stealthily break the Joker out of Arkham in ways that a dumbass wouldn't be able to.

user, you don't actually know what the examples my pics were from, did you? You haven't actually read/watched Harley's origin story?

I think the key difference between Harley and the Joker is that Harley can pass as normal when she really wants to.

Pretty much a lie. Both have had their chance to kill the bat but avoided it for whatever reason.

As in obviously and loudly and only because she already had access to all the keys and shit already.

As for the pics its from the Original Comics that Mad love was based off. One of the only major differences was removal of the Grades chunk. Bruce was even surprised that they left in "Don't you wanna ride your Harley?"

I just respectfully disagree with your interpretation of the character.

Yeah, you need to go re-read or re-watch. You don't actually know what I'm talking about. Batman admitted there was literally nothing he could have done and that if Joker hadn't intervened, she would have killed him. Because she managed to manipulate him and come up with a perfect plan that just didn't have a good enough punchline. You can argue that he was just trying to screw with the Joker, but how he explained how convincing her to call him was his only chance at survival makes perfect sense.

Harley's silly and her mind is fucked up but she's not a complete idiot. She can come up with some solid fucking plans to get what she wants. She could have been her own villain if they really wanted to break her off from the Joker.

Which has happened plenty of times with other stories with the Joker. I say the lie that nobody ever got as close to killing the bat is a lie. Not that she didn't come close.

Mad love episode covered that.

To think only Zuko escaped the Bad Parent trap all the returning Gaang memebrs fell into.

Not banging the tea girl is its own hell, every night he dreams off titties lost of giant mammaries unfondled.

It also doesnt Amon and his buddies not getting wrecked being fucking retarded.

Thebmoment they went open, it should have been the equivalent of the National Guard coming in and just brutally stomping shit.

Magic beets nonmagic. Powers beeat not powers. Fuck the normie wank.

What about Batman?

And the water benders were close to suffering the same fate. Decades of siege and assault had nearly wiped out the Southern Water Tribe.

Except that shit is nearly impossible without easy birth control.

Aang was just a pussy. Everyone said to just kill his ass.

Making him a super pussy felt so burdensome, he had the same goal the entire series and even tries to fly off and do it alone in the beginning of season 3 but all of the sudden he has a problem with fighting/killing ozai.

And his argument that the monks taught him to value all life is retarded when you see all the fucking dead fire nation warriors scattered at the air temples, obviously they fucking fought to the death. Aang is literally the only one who believes in being a pussy, even among the avatars

He spends time wooping thugs instead of slaughtering the corrupt.

Hey Reddit

As points out, Amon's threat escalated way too fast to be believable. Charismatic rebel or not, Amon havijg such an apparently imposing army in such a short period of time is meh writing.

Also, Book One never really addresses what if anything Amon planned to do about other lands interfering in his little coup. Even if he seized the city, you'd figure Zuko or whoever would send armies over there.

TLA Book Three was in too many ways a predecessor to LoK. From the now irritating protagonist to the pulled out of nowhere lion turtles. Aang's sudden issue with killing Ozai is the definitionof forcing a conflict

By destroying the governments that the nonbenders live with and make efforts to never have governments ever again. That's throwing the baby out with the bath water and then nuking the site where the baby and bath water landed.

The only one who had a point was Kuvira.

Which is why none of them aside from Kuvira had a point. Everything was scapegoating or terrorism. And then they had Kuvira suddenly love her country, that she never knew or was a part of since she lived in Zaofu for so long, too much.

We never saw any signs of worldwide institutional bender on non-bender dickery in TLA. Most of the 4 Nations didn't have bender only rulers.

LoK brought that point up but dropped it after Amon gets blown up.

seems like Amon's revolution would only make sense in the context of Republic City.

He really was too good for this series

His backstory was shieet and so was him getting Anti-Bender powers just from waterbending.

You know I had a feeling Amon wouldn't be who he said he was I just never thought they would go with him being a water bender and Tarlok was his brother. I thought he was just some advanced chi blocker or energy bender.

Just have him be a non-bender who gets used by Koh to wreck what Aang worked for.

But Zuko has Mai doesn't he?
