It pleases me very much that RLM is now despised.
I struggle to understand these videos. Either:
A. You haven't seen the movie they're reviewing and you want to know if it's good, in which their reviews are completely full of spoilers and therefor ruin the movie for you.
B. You've already seen the movie, in which case who gives a fuck what some what else thought because you've seen in and already know if it's good or not.
The purpose if to have a conversation-, check your privilege shitlord.
What if you aren't some faggot and spoilers don't bother you?
Why would want to watch the movie anyway? 5 minutes in and they already told you it suck
Ah fuck yes

OUR CUCKS OUR CUCKS
this place is literally the only place that shits on RLM, even though they've gotten much worse since 2013
Newer generations put a video and just hear the audio while doing other things, like "podcasts"
They want to hear the opinions of others because they don't like having conversations or just want to have their ideas re-validated/copying "well-made" opinions
Yes, folks these days are like that, we unironically read more in a day than those fellas in a week
I do that while I do repetitive work. It's no worse than listening to the radio while you work, provided you aren't seriously forming your opinions on things just based on what other people are saying. I stopped doing it a long time ago with RLM because every review is literally
And then you have that whole TFA review where it was obvious they were bought and paid for just so they can make Space Cop. Maybe if they had made a decent movie they wouldn't have their threads shitposted to death around here but no, they took a bribe just to make THAT piece of shit.
In 2014 many reviewers were praising RLM as the cutting edge in the review scene, some even refusing to review Star Wars because they "would leave it to the experts". That's stopped since then.
It didn't help that Landis gave a more honest review, to which they then shat on.

REVIEWERS
Holla Forums Still trying to be contrary because RLM is a best girl. Lelz xDDDD
...
Goddamn, are murricunts that silly? and not retarded because i've legitimately seen good burger reviewers in amateur/non-producing accounts
People are parrots, they will repeat stuff. I do tend to do that but on things i read that agree with what i'm feeling but can't exactly pinpoint
Doing it often will create a better language and argumentative style in your usual debating (as in shit kicking with friends)
Still i'm on my horse and just use info to support or correct my notions, kids these days use it to parrot opinions from cool dogs, or what they think are cool dogs. Hell, not even kids, grown ass adults do it too, and very often, but with politics.

People still praise RLM as some sort of bonafide critic show, even after they have shown themselves to have no integrity.
I do have to admit, though, that they still have brief moments of clarity - like in ther "Fuck you it's January" video, when Cucklasa calls the pile of shit that is promised to be released in 2017 "ENDLESS TRASH!". And then they go aind praise the trash when the actual reviews come out, of course, because they don't want to be too negative about Holywood studios, oh no, the Jew doesn't forgive if you cross the line. So let's praise Wonder Woman a couple of months after telling everyone that it is just another washed out capeshit movie! We're good goys, see, Mr. Shekelstein? Now please pay us for Space Cop II, we really need the money for it and for the booze.
No, because facts like that will only come if someone at RLM leaked and since they all rely on papa Mike to survive we'll never get a full account of what goes on around there like we do with Channel Awesome. I'll run through some of the points brought up here a lot real quick
Now, the question "Why would Disney pay off a half million sub channel on YouTube" might come to mind, so let me lay out some reasons. RLM and the Plinkett reviews are considered the highest regarded reviews of the Prequels ever. They have a cemented place in Star Wars fandom as the guys who took the fight to George Lucas and redeemed Star Wars. This is obvious autism to any discerning individual but remember who the SW fandom consists of.
This is known as second tier marketing, where a marketing team has enough money that they can target the contrarians of a demographic. RLM are considered contrarian reviewers, often mocking the actions of other people in their scene. (look at Nerd Crew as a prime example, they've done stuff like that for years). Many people are anticipating THEIR opinion of the movie as the deciding factor on whether or not THEY like it, which may translate to multiple ticket sales and merchandising.
RLM were not the lynchpin of what marketing calls "internet influncers" when it comes to TFA marketing campaign, but they are important in appealing to the final 1% of viewers in places like Reddit and even Holla Forums. And since Disney was anticipating making over a billion dollars JUST IN BOX OFFICE, they could afford to spend probably 100k on buying RLM's opinion and earning those viewers
The contract they signed probably stated they had to enjoy the mainline movies, but didn't necessarily include other flicks, meaning they could attack Rogue One. Meaning their HitB and Plinkett review had to be positive to TFA, but nothing else. That put them in the awkward predicament of favoring Daisy Ridley and TFA over Felicity Jones and Rogue When when Jones and Rogue One were superior.
I can't stress enough the importance of their reviews. Their HitB review made short term ticket sales, but their Plinkett Review was meant to cement The Force Awakens as officially a GOOD MOVIE in the eyes of the Star Wars fandom. Star Wars as a brand needed the public support of its top critic to maintain that outlier demographic. To Disney, a 100k (or whatever they paid) bribe was almost nothing to their marketing budget, To RLM? It was the budget of their dream film.
This is all speculation, and there are myriad other reasons why you shouldn't watch RLM. I'm merely trying to present a rationalization of where we are coming from when we say they were paid off. And praying to God Jay Bauman finally grows a pair and leaks what's been going on behind the scenes at RLM.
How much does George Lucas paid you to go after RLM?
stop reading there
There was no evidence of Channel Awesome scamming their fans out of 90k until years later when the full story came out, but I was still here telling everyone it had happened. Like I said, until someone leaks the full story we'll never truly know, and its probable that will never happen.
So I ask for your justification of why they liked TFA when it was just as bad, if not worse, than any of the prequels. Hypocrisy? JJ Abrams cocksucking? Bad taste? Why not all of those and then being bought off so they could make Space Cop.
Just something to consider RLM fanboy
the patreon money ruined them and made it clear that they're just sellouts. Not to mention how capeshit movies exploded during the time of their show which they started to review more and more of. Also that they were not 100% negative against the absolute shit star wars movie kinda proved that they were afraid to anger their patreon audience who is mostly just fake geeks.
Their shit got less edgy, they thought their shitty filmmaking skills could make a movie people would buy (ironically), their content got stale and their guests became increasingly annoying, they didnt wear MAGA caps and I'm pretty sure are all lib cucks, they shifted away from using their bargain bin film school knowledge to talk about movies to instead just be the generic youtube film reviewer who concentrates 95% on anything besides the technical aspects.
The only + is that they're all white and no niggers, wetbacks, chinks, or sand people are part of the show.
youtu.be
So I ask for your justification of why they hated Rogue One
I know you didn't read my post, but I did preempt that question. Because they were paid for the mainline brand. I guarantee they'll enjoy 8 and 9 and lambast the rest. Also because the crime would be even more obvious if they universally enjoyed Star Wars.
And you fell for their bait like all the other redditors
To keep their "cred", of course. And Rogue One is a bad movie; they don't need to lie to the audience's face calling it bad, like they did when they called TFA good.
I guess that their review of Episode VIII will prove if this hypothesis is right or not: if it is a piece of shit as we are expecting and they praise it, that's a clear sign that they're being paid to prop up Star Wars among the snarky, edgy Reddit fanbase (the rest of Reddit will love Star Wars by default, of course).
Keep in mind, however, that there's another possibility: that Disney only wanted to pay for the first Star Wars movie, because that would be the big factor in their Jewish project of profiting out of it with one movie a year. If TFA flopped or was only marginally successful at the box office, but the fans hated it, that could signal them that the franchise was dying. They could be using every weapon in their arsenal to signal that SW started on a good foot, and now they may think that they don't need that kind of marketing, everybody loves the new Star Wars movies so they don't need to pay Cucklasa anymore.
You know how illogical your assumption is? Why would a studio not shill every movies they make at every chance? Put yourself in the marketing department shoe, you paid RLM to shill movie A but not for movie B even though its from the same studio you work for. Why? because you will make any assumption you can just to prove a point even though it doesn't make any sense.
Or maybe they just liked the movie.
Mike, Rich and Jay are pretty obviously turbo-plebs who like Marvelshit, its not surprising they liked TFA. Its a lot more plausible than conspiracy theories about getting paid off to shill The Farce Awakens but not Rogue Juan by Disney to fund Space Cop, which is a movie that looks like it was made by high schoolers on a budget of 50 bucks and wouldn't need Disneybucks to make anyway.
Ha ha great posts! Well meme'd my friend!
God dammit Jay you fucking absolute lad.
I'm closer to that then you know. RLM is second level marketing, they paid off the fake nerds to gush about how great it is but allowed RLM to attack it because it disarms the people who were negative about TFA. Normalfags will go
Everything about Rogue One was a throwaway, hence why they killed all the characters are stole the real movie from its director. That's the marvel formula, they make bad movies with unpopular characters so the movies they want to succeed look better by comparison. And not all movies are equal in needing to be shilled. Remember, TFA was establishing the BRAND, Rogue One came after.
Where the fuck do you think we are?
Get the fuck out, this is a shitposting board
Let me tell you about Cuckoldry
I was dating a white woman, I know I know, already fucking it up there. And she was fairly popular on my show. Whatever, so she asks me "hey, can I be on the show… without you?" At first I'm like what it's my show why wouldn't I be on it but she promised it would be fine. So they are watching movies, and I'm in my office writing the script for the next Plinkett review and I hear the movie stop. Interesting. So I head to JUST outside the door and I see Jay running out of the room, crying. Inside, I see the love of my life getting spitroasted by AIDSmoby and that fat guy. Immediately the whole Jay thing makes sense (he has a bit of a hard time around women).
So I watch and jerk off and afterwards she comes out acting like she "saw the movie". I tell her I saw everything and I was honestly turned on by watching my girl get plowed. "It's like my own home porno" I say. She says "really, well I've had an idea for a while, I'm going to bring some guys over and I hope you approve."
So I'm at home waiting and she arrives with a van full of guys. Black guys, all much more fit and masculine than any white man I've ever seen. I'm immediately in love. Those muscles, those skin tones, immediately reminds me of my favorite movie series ever. So I start jerking off and offer to "prep the bull". Being gangbanged by 7 black men as a warmup is honestly what all enlightened men should be striving for. I didn't cum, of course, that wouldn't be happening tonight.
They go in, and tie me down to a chair. They immediately go to work, their enhanced Nubian stamina allowing them to sport full, 12 inch erections for hours. It's amazing, watching them pass my girlfriend around like a basketball. I saw them do every position, in every hole. When they were close to climax, they got out a bowl and all came into it, making sure to keep it just warm enough to support the sperms life. When they all had cum, they mixed it and filled a turkey baster to the brim. Planting it deep inside my girlfriends vagina, they shot the combined ejaculate of 7 muscly Egyptian Pharoahs inside her. I knew it was the time of month when she was most fertile too. I never had to worry about getting her pregnant, my little cock barely got inside, and she never let me fuck her without a condom. Now I knew I was never going to fuck her again and honestly, I'm glad. I'm prepared to use all the money I make to raise as many black children as she can birth because the world can only be made better with more men like them.

This is so retarded I dont know where to begin. So let me get this straight, if you a studio owner and want to make you movie looks great, you gonna spend $150+ millions and marketing to make a shitty movie, to promote your previous movie?
I highly doubt that considering how retarded you are
The point he's making is that 99% of people can be marketed to through conventional means that tards like you know, that remaining 1% require additional finesse that Disney is willing to pay for because they are mega kikes.
This is also the one place on the web that overwhelmingly backed Donald Trump for president. Sometimes being in the minority is a sign of clarity.
This HitB episode was actually really good, RLM is still good when they're ripping a shitty movie like this to shreds.
And look how that turned out…
No, that was Reddit. Trump even posted there.
RLM also aren't professional critics.
I would guarentee you that if they were paid off they would have slipped up during a Pre-Rec stream where you can't edit it out later during editting and let something out of the bag, so far there is no smoking gun so I am calling this busted.
Yeah, Disney clearly willing to spend $300 millions dollars to make intentionally bad movies so that 1% of the audiences that hate TFA will think its the best Star Wars in history, instead of just paying the reviewer. Money well spend
/r/The_Donald backed Trump; Reddit as a platform in general, and most of its popular subreddits in particular, backed the fuck out of Bernie "No Refunds" Sanders.
I feel sorry for people as short sighted as you.
I want you to think about that for a minute.
They're not spending $300 million dollars; they know that the auxiliary movies like Rogue One will' turn a profit no matter what. So it's not an expense, but an investment.
The main brand movies, however, are the real money makers; look at how much money TFA brought despite being a piece of shit. They absolutely needed to "cleanse" the Star Wars brand from the prequels, and for that coopting Red Letter Media would be the best move since Mike Stoklasa was, at the time, THE Star Wars critic. By getting his "blessing" to the new movie, Disney targeted the audience that normally wouldn't see it because they were jaded by the prequels. And it didn't really cost them much money to buy a bunch of Milwaukean alcoholic cucks with a Youtube channel and a Patreon page.
that doesn't mean much when T_D has hundreds of thousands of subscribers and this shithole has at most 7k active users.
The majority of Trump support on the internet came from Leddit's r/the_donald.
I don't know about that, how could Disney or RLM keep something like that a secret for long.
Wait do you not know this? Hollywood in general makes intentionally bad movies. It's not because they sell well, it's because they lower expectations. Good movies require time and effort and genius. A company cannot just pump them out. But if everyone is used to seeing good films then they won't be willing to see the shitty ones that are just made for money.
Hence Hollywood has to lower expectations. So they shit out bad movie after bad movie for decades. They make sure that the "tastemakers" either think these absolutely pieces of shit are average or even good in some cases. Why do you think Hollywood so quickly got behind geek culture and capeshit? Because geeks have terrible fucking tastes in their media so when they're given a shit film they'll buy it up like the betacucks they are. Hollywood wants the average american to like actual dogshit so they can keep selling them said dogshit. The only reason they let kino through is because they know if they closed the system to anyone with true ability then they would gather together and make a new venture that would be able to outcompete their jewish monopoly.
But this is also why producers are always ruining potentially good films by talking about target demos and all that shit. It's a war my friend and you don't even realize you're having war crimes committed against you.
Why wouldn't they keep something like that a secret? They wouldn't gain anything by going public with it.
lol dude most of those "hundreds of thousands" are bots. reddit is 99.99% neoliberal with the remainder split between commies and republicans
No, how could it stay a secret? If Sony couldn't even keep it a secret the times they paid and manufactured reviews, how could Disney for one of the most anticipated film in decades.
That still doesn't make any sense either retard
Then there is no reason to make Rogue One since they already got their "blessing"
Are you implying that they made Rogue One for the RLM audience? Because that's retarded, and no one's saying that. One (cheap) thing is getting Cucklasa's "blessing"; another (expensive) one is making a shit movie to lower expectations for the big release (Episode 8).
- Kike Cucklasa
rely maks ye thank…

They only hated Rogue One because Lucas said it was a fun movie.
IT'S THEIR JOB NIGGER, IT'S THEIR SOURCE OF REVENUE, YES, THEYRE CRITICS, THAT'S ALL THEY CAN DO, NIGGER!
A professional has a set of standards and rules, kiddo, not a silky check in their pocket to prove income
They're actually film makers
Was RLM always bad or did they make a bad turn somewhere? Was it Spacecop? Was it the TFA review? I can't believe I ever enjoyed watching these guys.
They had their moments.
For me, it was somewhere around them sucking Abram's dick, shilling out a shit Plinkett review, and then shitting on that faggot Landis despite how much more on the nose he was with how bad SW7 was.
Watch those videos you liked again, perhaps they were always bad but you liked the campiness
Happened to me with AVGN, and he himself explained that in one of his videos, liking stuff when you were young, even as cringeworthy as men fighting in rubber suoits, will appeal to you even as an adult IF you have kid memories
Here's what I noticed after being a previous fan: roughly around 2015 it began to slide downhill.
and the worst part
They used to be a couple of film nerds that looked at movies on technical levels beyond plot, while participating in an absurdist plot centerted around them reviewing and drinking beer. Now they're just two dudes talking about a film with nothing really interesting to say. I saw it going downhill a whole year before the obvious Disney payoff for a goof TFA review. They simply gave up everything that made HitB good in order to sit back and cash in.
I'll still watch the old episodes like the Sinister/Paranormal Activity 4 review, when their mockery knew no bounds. As of right now however the series sucks, and every time I watch it it's just boring and I don't see any fresh perspective on anything, not to mention they review mainstream clickbait movies that I have zero interest in.
They got old and gave up their idealism, and settled on a cheap career that gets marketing checks rolling in. Kind of inevitable, and supremely ironic given how Cucklasa used to rip on Lucas for doing exactly that. I guess Lucas gets the last laugh here.
I think Lucas doesn't even know who these cucks are, resting in his ranch watching kino all day
I ether look young or sex offenders don't take care of themselves
I mean in spirit, these guys shit on him all day and they eventually became exactly what he did.
And you think these pseudo-reviewers care about what they became, and not the free money they have after spending it all on the bull?
If anything the viewers are the only losers here
...
There's a difference between professionals and mere workers and amateurs, kiddori
Why is RedLetterMedia so boring now?

It's more like lamenting the fact that somebody who was once good is now shit.
Agreed but this has become the eceleb equivalent of driving by your ex girlfriends house every night. HITB and BOTW were only ever filler between plinkett vids and plinkett's long dead now, Mike's days of edgy humor and calling bullshit years behind him.
Short version: They became cucks.
Long version:
It's more like a shill or a jokester posting bait/thinly-veiled random threads
Excellent post. Screencapped.
I would say the moment they started going downhill was when the fanbase started idolizing Rich Evans as some kind of unironically awesome guy. If you watch a BotW episode from 2013, Rich comes across as a normal guy with a couple of funny traits, like how he slurs his words a lot. However, ever since that TFA trailer reaction video parody went semi-viral and Pre Rec started though he comes across as though he thinks he's some kind of unironic internet superstar because the fans sucked his balls so hard, when he's really completely average and has very little ability to analysis film or video games at any level. Now he spends 90% of BotW episodes screaming catchphrases and trying to be funny with really exaggerated facial expressions. It honestly reminds me of Markiplier or something, where they're just screaming and acting wacky in order to entertain retards. In the most recent one, they unironically had "Epic Win" title on the screen with a zoom up to Rich's face, and its not done in an unironic fashion. Everytime Rich opens his mouth now something unfunny comes out, he's only funny when he mispronounces something or Mike makes fun of him.
The reason the Plinkett reviews were so good was because they were really informative, and the comedy was the icing on the cake that completed the experience and made it entertaining to watch rather than a dull film analysis, as Mike explains in this interview: youtu.be
Some Half in the Bag episodes can still be entertaining, like I felt like The Mummy review they just did was interesting in how it analysed Universal's decision to make Monsters universe, but those episodes are few and far between and most are just them saying "Yeah it was okay" over and over for 20 minutes. They've gotten lazy with their sitcom sections too, they used to do outdoor filming and now they just sit in their chairs.
As a whole, Best of the Worst started to run its course around 2014 or 2015. If the films their watching aren't interesting at all it just turns into Mike and Rich mugging for the camera like jackasses. The decision to fill the Wheel of the Worst with random VHS instructional videos and other crap turned out to be a bad idea in the long run, as while it did provide some entertaining moments for a few early episodes, they can't analyse the videos like analysing a movie, they essentially turn into just pointing out random shit that happened and saying "that's funny". The decision to have unfunny fags like Jack and Josh mug in front of the camera was a mistake too, and it caused Rich to suck compared to what he used to be.
Mike also needed to keep making Plinkett reviews, not even all the time but every 6 months or so. Releasing Star Trek 5 review as a commentary was a mistake and it should have been a full Plinkett video instead. Then maybe Mike could have kept his critical eye for films, because now Mike's movie opinions sucks because he gives crap like Independence Day Resurgence a pass, and he also unironically thought Jurassic World was an amazing film, not even as shlock but like its some kind of classic. He's still the funniest one of the group by far but his opinions of films suck now, just watch the TFA review for that, its literally just backtracking for over an hour and the review of the actual film barely analyses or discusses anything.
Another reason that nobody brings up is that they used to host a majority their content on Blip, before moving all their content to Youtube in 2015 after Blip died. Blip sucked as a player, but a silver lining was that because they only uploaded most of their content on Blip, it kept them isolated from Youtube faggotry that plagues their content now, like having more wacky humour compared to before.
Its a little bit ironic, because they in their own way prioritzed special effects over story in Space Cop like George Lucas did in the Star Wars prequels, just on a budget scale.
Its also funny to watch their "How Not to Make a Movie: The Making of Gorilla Interrupted", because they look back on it as though they're now real film makers and Jay is talking about all the new special effects they did for it. But you look at what they're making now like Space Cop and they haven't progressed at all, they're still doing the same shit they were making back then, and the new effects still look shit.
That's not really speculation. Anyone who isn't some capeshit/spaceshit tard can see the shilling levels. TFA is practically identical to their recent Mummy critique.
This.
Holy fuck they went full libshit with this one (too).
How could anyone dislike Rogue One?
IT BROKE NEW GROUND!
Seriously, though, why are RLM so butthurt over Rogue One? They've made about 7 videos bitching about it and I'd bet money that they'll have at least one more as we get closer to the release of Last Jedi.
I legit thought that was a photo of the BTK killer.
I don't know about murder but I'm pretty sure that Jack has some legit skeletons in the closet.
