Does not matter. Beggars can't be choosers. We are in a rough position. Trump getting elected stands to send a message, yes, but Trump is not the ideal choice. We don't have ideal choices to look to.
Hillary is a lethal threat to this country and possibly the world. Especially with the supreme court on the line, and things heating up with China and Russia. It is imperative that she does NOT get into office.
Everything else is left to chance however. We don't know how Trump will run things, if and when he gets in. All we can do is hope. Most of us are not voting for Trump specifically. We are voting to avert a potential nightmare scenario involving a Hillary presidency. That goal alone is worth putting Trump into office.

I think OP may have a point. We're unpredictable and undeniably a threat to whoever is eventually deemed an enemy. What if Trump does turn on us? Not in the ideological sense, but in the sense that we may cause problems later on and it's simpler to remove us now, rather than when we may/may not cause issues.

Set your sights much, much, much lower. Expect 2-3 million hardcore gang member illegals to be deported, a decent but pretty unspectacular wall to be built, fast track citizenship for illegals without criminal records [besides the federal law they broke entering in the first place, of course], watered-down tariffs in exchange for concessions of some kind with major corporations, and deescalation with Russia.
