can you remove the pedo shit spam and thread pls

meep meep it could be that congress will turn it down tbh no homo

f

good

why isnt there a name field, im fugthelug btw

australia

even better than australia

Jew Wars 8 was pretty good imo. I'm a bit bias when it comes to sci-fi films doe.

...

fuck you

i don't want to save anymore 2d fag shit tbh

i'd fug all these grannies

...

a*

so fucking hot

...

censored dick is the best type of dick
i dont want to be called a fag

I wouldn't mind fugging this poundable granny.

granny porn is allowed right?

need to wait for an answer from dysnomia himself because i might get banned again

i'm eating original flavored rice crackers

wouldn't a VPN negate the entire idea of ISP's being able to limit your browsing?

Check this thread out instead of this thread tbh

I wouldn't mind bludgeoning her to death tbh

all me tbh

check em

1 off i failed u ;-;

Not entirely, and if the ISP can't the sites still can.

A lot of Anons don't have extra cash to pay for the "controversial sites" package, so Holla Forums is going to die.

PEDOS BTFO

...

dysnomia needs to be thrown from a bridge tbh

this tbh

I have no idea what to do here
Just watch this, or don't.

...

Eh, what do you think?

It's shit.

Fakest shit on the internet

freech

Being really honest with you guys I'm considering disabling images to save Jim some bandwidth until we get the Holla Forums Premium servers set up.

Also I have been thinking about getting some mods from Holla Forums and going full force anti-goon anti-pedo. I think it would be a nice change to be more Holla Forums like.

Also can't namefag but I'm totally OP.

is a better thread than this one tbh.

based dysnomia tbh

at least your honest

The thread is shit by default for being wrong.

You're*

honestly i didn't even read that thread
i just posted cute little girls in leotards

i just want dysnomia to delete or lock his sticky again :^)

hi dysnomia.

I won't do that but I'm considering getting 20 or so more mods and removing pedos entirely. I'll give it some thought.

why not both?

jim wanted you to do that a month ago and look where we are.

remove pedos entirely. as long as pedos are allowed to post here there will be a higher instance of CP. If you nip it in the bud you can curb it.

when are you gonna email me the pics of your tits

hi fug

t. hex

im jew

You would sooner have success removing the entire board than removing pedos.

t. pedo

Some of the annoying stuff left from the king nigger regime will be gone

But we may have to pay an actual monetary price because jews need to make money out of everything

Goodbye

Torrents can't get more censored than they are now, you're almost better off just subscribing to netfux. BUT, with the deregulation happening, they will probably start going back to what they once were. Which is great.

VPNs aren't going anywhere.

More search engines will pop up, hopefully tearing down google's near monopoly. Also good.

No one is going to stand for pages being segmented like TV. Do you really think that if that could be done, the Jews under Obama wouldn't have done it already? Your think pan is overheating. You need to stick your head in something cold. Like a freezer, or a bathtub or something. It might help.

Thank God

I hope 8cha, and 4chan and Twitter and YouTube and Facebook and Reddit are all deleted forever. I hope every modem and router on the entire planet bricks themselves all at once. Maybe people can actually grow fucking braincells again and go outside instead of wasting their lives getting into petty arguments and attention whoring themselves.
Read a fucking book nigger, there are thousand of public libraries out there, you might actually make friends. Giving so many retards a voice for their opinions was a mistake, the internet was a mistake, just fucking end it all.

...

...

books fucking suck

In the west you still can download many things with the correct search engines
but more than censorship is about speed between computers it could be reduced for them to hit it

Truly annon
lets see how this unfolds….

How would you know? When was the last time you even went to a library? What if I told you that libraries and books were the worlds primary source of beyond-general knowledge in the days before the internet? What if I told you it was actually better that way because books are a good conjecture-filter?

Here comes the full on cyberpunk oligopoly, with blatant corporate police.
Only a matter of time.

On a more than quarter serious note, this is some depressing shit. I hope we can make this change.

The internet as it was was already responsible for driving all of us to a cyberpunk dystopia. Knowledge, people, opinions, all become so trivial until we become complacent drones. See A Brave New World

Shame Reddit is such a bunch of retards and their conjecture spread so far down everyones throats. As if the FTC and Rural Electrification Act don't already regulate ISPs and Broadband internet without the FCC anyways

I'm excited tbh.

Brave New World is based tbh.

And yet this is a step in the direction of less regulation.
This is still bad and not a trend we want to see.

This isn't even that, it's trimming unnecessary Federal Government fat. People like you are just parrots to whatever conjecture Reddit spews out their assholes

Great, that's just want we need. You should just make everyone on Holla Forums a volunteer at this point so if anyone posts CP the users can ban them.

I'm all for net neutrality, but the FCC has always been a toxic organization with the opposite of free speech at its very core, and I'm glad they weren't given any regulatory power over the internet. Hopefully, the backlash over this causes Congress to enact net neutrality laws on a basis other than the FCC chairman's fiat.

they can't ban themselves silly

You must've never owned a board here then. They can ban eachother, but they would be able to lift their own ban.

not true, i banned myself a bunch of times

t. hex

yes that was my assumption which is why i said that

My access to knowledge has only made me fucking miserable.

back to the pedo thread, cocksucker
you're history

youtube.com/watch?v=r50Z2tZrvwY

FCC guy laughing at his own corruption

Sa,me tbh.

Do you really think I came to this conclusion because reddit told me to believe it?
Really? Because I barely ever visit reddit you stupid cunt.
Keep believing that and ignore the fact that Comcast got in trouble for intentionally throttling its customers.
Conjecture? Yeah okay buddy.

(samefag, continuing)
I mean, you already ignore what the bill does, so there's not much more to say.

Dysnomia you're a hypocrite faggot. Your only purpose here is to undermine information neutrality (selectively ban posters and delete stuff) while you support net neutrality? Fuck off. What you don't give, you ought not to get. I hope US ISPs abuse the fuck out of this because y'all burgers deserve it.

Maybe the democrats should try to not ram shit down people's throats and get actual bipartisan agreements next time.

won't pass through court. crybaby 56% asswipes shut your fuckholes. annoying pieces of shit.

i knew eurocucks were dumb but damn you really lowered the bar

Morons.

content neutrality isn't net neutrality. what's at stake here is what happens to data packets once they are in the pipework

maybe the trump administration should
holy shit are you retarded. why not just shoot yourself in the foot, oh wait…

undeserved double dubs! there is no god!
>because it's not all about some content getting preferential treatment, in both cases /s
can't see the forest for the trees much

I fucking hope it doesn't, but I'm terrified now.

Have you noticed how easy it is to spin NN? Do you think the fucking dinosaur technophobes in our government are going to understand shit?

At least contact your representative.

Do you have any idea how much shit I pirate on a monthly, if not weekly, if not daily, if not hourly basis?
lol no. Google will pay up and stick around. New search engines will struggle. DuckDuckGo will probably die.

They would. But its more than that, they'll be able to throttle competitors and pull a lot of other shit.
They've already shown that they love throttling competitors until they pay up. NN stopped that up til now.

Who gives a fuck

Oh I don't know, maybe ANYONE WHO UTILIZES THIS WEBSITE

The cost for running a website will go up.

Shills, think tanks, AI, pedophiles, mods, and anyone who takes out an advertisement that actually helps turn a profit.
If you're any one of the above you should fucking kill yourself. If you're neither, what fucking difference does it make to you?

And?

very few people understand how the internet works, user. this thread is proof enough that americans weren't informed about what the fcc decision actually entails.
not that many years ago, when landlines were all there was, every american home had the right to a phone line and to their calls being treated in transit the same as their neighbors'. obama extended that protection to internet traffic and now it's gone.

…and those websites will die. More than that, they'll be asked to pay a fucking monopoly more money than they already do.

Argument against the man.
The cost for running a website will go up. Every website that isn't heavily entangled with parties against NN will suffer only to give some of the richest companies in the world more money. This doesn't just apply to Google or whatever, but also things like personal blogs. It gives more power to the ISPs to fuck everyone and everything over even harder than they already do. They can ruin sites this way, effectively take them off line with constant throttling or even worse if they go with this channels bullshit. Its pretty simple to understand.

Unfortunately, the net neutrality we had was based pretty much entirely on the whim of Tom Wheeler. Allowing him to make such a sweeping change to the legal and regulatory status of the internet and allowing it to stand sets a bad precedent. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having Wheeler as the FCC chairman forever. But since we can't have that, priority one should be not allowing Ajit Poo to enact any internet regulations he wants without going to Congress. This ruling reaffirms that the FCC doesn't have the power to enact any arbitrary law without passing it through Congress, and that's good.

Now we just need Congress to pass a real net neutrality law.

I thought I heard somewhere that congress is against NN…

Maybe I'll have to look that up later.

Seats change, precedent is forever. I'll take net neutrality in four years over Ajit Pai mandating that all ISPs block Tor and VPNs and implement deep packet inspection, piping everything straight to the NSA. Allowing unelected officials to enact or modify laws at their discretion is bad precedent.

And do you HONESTLY think this all hasn't already happened by other means?
There's only so much you can do with the fastest internet service an ISP can offer to civilian use… Even with your affordable internet-cable-phone package, your hardware just can't handle the new age. And we can't keep paying graduates to make your favorite services and videos compatible anymore. You took it all for granted. Now you're all going to end up paying the same prices, for the same services.

No more high speed internet for porn, streaming, and torrenting. We're tired of spending money on investigators to track you down, we're tired of the paperwork; we're tired of the fucking court orders; the ISP's are tired of us telling them they have to stop you from using the internet because you're costing US money. We're sick and tired of the users taking advantage of an imperfect system!! THE COMPUTERS WILL RISE AGAIN!!!!

Classic

The internet can die for all I care.

Of course you don't, numbnuts. You're just a Board Volunteer.
You don't need a Masters in Business and Marketing to kick people out of a building and put up fliers.

lets welcome the jews

Good old Dysnomia, never missing an opportunity to reveal what an ignorant sheep he is.

pic related shows how important speed is to website traffic. if it takes 3secs to load, the site loses 40-70% of traffic. throttling one site and not its competitor is an obvious danger to smaller sites, startups and, ofc, the consumer who will one way or another pick up the bill.

Fuck yeah

Fool. If it's (You)s you want you have to say something stupid.

THIS

Is that why Holla Forums is ?

So basically the only reason reddit wanted to keep it was so they could censor shit easier… got you.

Satan himself couldn't have made a better pack of lies.

Finally ISPs are able to block fake news and sites harmful to children.

we did it reddit :')

netflix isn't forcing people to use its services
when I pay for internet, I pay for 10mbps 24 hours of the day. it's my business of how much of that I actually use. it makes no difference to my isp what I use it on

your argument makes the least sense

t. literally every normalfag because they are too retarded to find some good sites

search engines need to buy bandwidth like any other user of the physical network. they pay per byte to transmit data which end users also pay, often per byte, to receive
also, anonymous search engines (see: ixquick.com) now run the risk of being slower and more expensive to american users, which would kill their revenu stream. duck duck is unlikely to survive a fight with google and the isps, who now own your browsing history, btw, won't want their data stream polluted by privacy concerns
america has been bought and sold again. in years to come, this event will be cited as an example of how democracy can be bought

Because he doesn't have enough computers???

This. I've ruined my life with internet addiction. The last year I've downloaded enough shit to keep me busy until I die. If the internet does turn to shit I might actually change. I don't need jewtube or imageboards. I don't need to keep up with anime or video games, they are trash anyway. I will turn to literature and something productive like piano. Fuck the internet I hope it does die.

im going to copy pasta a post i just made on /pol about this, original post >>>Holla Forums11047809

if an ISP customer pays for a certain bandwidth that is unlimited and they choose to watch netflix all day everyday then they have paid for that privilege

if all the customers of an ISP choose to watch netflix all day every day, and that ISPs total service is taken up by handling netflix downstream to their customers, then that bandwidth has already been paid by their customers. making netflix pay for using the ISPs bandwidth is making them pay for something that is already paid for. if and when a customer tries to access a site and the ISP throttles the bandwidth when accessing that site, they are denying a person access to the full bandwidth which they have already paid for.

you see this shit pop up all over the place

i posted a parcel the other day

i pay them x amount of money to deliver my parcel

then they ask me if i want insurance for my parcel

so let me get this straight? they want me to pay them to deliver my parcel, then they want me to pay them again in case they dont deliver my parcel? ie they want me to pay them twice to deliver my parcel…

if a person went into hospital to have a baby, and the hospital picked up that baby then dropped it on its head killing it. surely the hospital would be liable for the loss of one baby and couldnt turn around and say "we dont owe you shit because you didnt take out insurance on your baby"

the free market of nurses would offer you somebody better at doing their job on the next go around
alternatively, you could pay for them to take someone else's kid out of the incubator for purposes of expediency

i bet you think doctors shouldn't have to have a license too

this is correct. skilled labourers who attain their position of employment by unskilled means are good for the economy, good for how much of the public can actually be seen by a doctor, and finally good for the consumer

tbh i've had this exact argument before
is malpractice good for the consumer?
does the consumer go into a doctor's office expecting to die?
what ratio of deaths/treatment is acceptable for you?

autisticnotweird.com/taking-things-literally-when-having-autisms-actually-pretty-funny/

u sure pranked me user i have autismo now

bumping coke in my ass

kys tbh

i'm already a level 4 muslim :).

Why are you a faggot mod and why are you reddit?

Make it 1080p and you got a deal, matey!

whomst care
if nothing happens then nothing happens and we get to keep being internet addicted slugs.
if everything gets fuggie mcwuggied and goes /cyberpunk/, then we get a much needed break from our collective internet addiction and maybe get to live in mirror's edge world for a period.
might even get something interesting in the world for once, like a revolution or some gay shit like that.

stop worrying so much you absolute obsessive stressed out homogays. christ.

If a doctor or pilot fucks up, people probably end up dead or permanently injured. If a network technician fucks up, the Internet is down and you can't browse facebook. That's the difference.

You cower like roaches from the light. I go from thread to thread reporting everything I see and earn goodboy points.

Alright, enough of this. Embedding is still disabled so I saved this video as an mp4, but it was 38mb, so I'll just link: youtube.com/watch?v=dh8sVHb5oOA

Pretty compelling evidence "net neutrality" is like the patriot act, marriage equality, pro-choice, the people's democratic republic of china, social justice, and every other political weasel word.

...

the court will decide if a law is needed to repeal this regulation. if yes, congress can overrule the fcc/ftc.
for information, obama wanted to legislate for nn thru congress but the reps wouldn't have it, so he used the fcc instead.

Is there any actual evidence that this will do anything at all? Wasn't NN enacted recently? What will it even matter if it changes back to how it was? I'm so confused because people act like the flood gates are about to open. But I can't imagine that suddenly all this infrastructure and all these contracts are going to dramatically change for some reason. The whole argument of "who's gonna pay??" doesn't make any sense. Data is so fucking cheap now and is getting cheaper by the day. The average person, even if they are streaming HD Netfilx 24/7, isn't using that much data. The average person just browses FB on their phone all day, they don't even own computers anymore. What the end of NN might do is change some aspects of who pays for bandwidth but it's such an insignificant number that i don't think anyone will actually care even if it does get offset onto customers. The amount we're talking about is fractions on the dollar from what i've heard.

You're probably too young to remember when cell phone companies charged people to so much as install a ring tone. But that's the least of what a non-neutral internet can do. At its root the problem is control. By making some things, like the use of a VPN, prohibitively expensive ISP's can (and they already do this) track users and force them to use certain "approved" media. Imagine a world where the proles can only afford corporate-sponsored information feeds.

The average person on Facebook uses many gigabytes of data feeding giant information slurping scripts that track everything he does and everywhere he goes.

You've heard wrong but it sounds like you've already made up your mind.

No i'm not and what does that matter? They were offering a service that most people wanted and there were no alternatives. Data was also extremely expensive and still is when you're talking about satellite time and tower usage compared to hard-line internet.

They already do this shit, and it's seemingly illegal regardless and the FCC has already gone after them for doing this. Like I can pull 100mbps when downloading directly from say, Microsoft, but when using p2p i max out at 1mbps regardless of seed ratio. This is a specific problem that NN doesn't seem to cover at all. The point of NN from everything i've seen is corporations off setting their bandwith costs. The reason they dislike p2p and VPN has nothing to do with that anyway. They dislike it because it cuts out all the middle men and everyone who isn't a peer dislikes this decentralized data sharing.

Well that's just fucking wrong. You don't use bandwidth to track and analyze metadata.

classic cop out

bulk bandwidth has crashed in price. that means hosts and isps pay transit providers peanuts. retail bandwidth, what domestic connections pay, doesn't follow the same curve.

But isn't that the thing people are worried about? If the bulk of it from hosts is irrelevant, why the fuck would ISPs care what you access from them? If it's inherently more expensive to route you to the ISP regardless of the host, why would they bother throttling the host regardless of the host? You see what i'm saying?

Obummer the kenyan did it
therefore it must be bad

not really. it's inherently that confuses me most. if the data pipe is full or half-full, the cost to the pipe owner remains more or less the same: infrastructure amortizement and maintenance + bulk bandwidth.

The concern everybody is raising is their personal access to sites. The idea that ISPs will restrict and package internet usage. But why would they when your usage isn't what is at cost? If a sever host is paying and you're paying, where is the incentive to throttle anything?

to wring more money out of content providers and users to avoid the slow lane? or how about to disadvantage competitors ? or drive small isps into the wall to obtain their assets and market share in a fire sale? or manage reputational damage by pricing out the hosts to risky sites? why not just up the price and throttle anyone who likes things you don't like? that's the way it works.

Modern ISP's have parceled out geographical areas so they can maintain their monopolies. They have bribed local governments to enforce it. Given that the free market has failed, net neutrality was one of the few ways the FCC could prevent abuse.

They used to. Now, without net neutrality, the FCC has no authority to go after them.

You're either ignorant or disingenuous. I said tracking scripts and that's what they are. They pull data from the user's computer, they track mouse movements, they record file names, and they do all manner of evil shit. And most of it requires bandwidth.

corporations (which, by the way, have been earning record profits) already get paid. But it's not just the double and triple dipping they can now freely do. As I said, the real problem is the walled gardens and content pushing.

and yet here you are arguing against net neutrality. Admit you were biased at the start or don't, but it's obvious to anyone reading that your "questions" weren't honest, but were aimed at pushing your point of view.

I'm asking where is the incentive to even create a slow lane? ISPs charge by usage allowance already. That's how it works, why would it change now? Why would they have different deals with different people? There is no incentive to… create different networks for smaller users? What is even the implication here? Why would they deny service and charge people different amounts for the same thing?

No what it does is incentivise companies to invest in their own infrastructure instead of taking advantage of the ISPs expecting preferential treatment like they already get. What you don't seem to understand is this hurts the big guys, not the little guys. Companies like Google who rely entirely on traffic alone who would tell ISPs to fuck off if they started charging more. Your run of the mill host isn't going to give a shit if the prices rise a little and they have no choice. Plus Google is already a competing ISP. ISPs don't want to lose these giant contracts and they can't charge more for the same service to lower tier people,

Or why not suspend domain names and server hosting for people you don't like? Oh wait NN has nothing to do with shit like this and doesn't actually protect basic free speech on the internet. Until it's made clear that you can't discriminate as a host of any kind this is a bullshit point.

Well that didn't work very well now did it?
See above. If this shit was this fucking impotent then i can't see how any of this matters at all.

I don't think you really understand how insignificant metadata is in size. These are not files being sent. This is incredibly insignificant amounts of information designed as such.

What the fuck are you even talking about? What exactly do you think my position is? This is the whole problem with this bunch of nonsense. Everything is just yelling at their own conceptualization of what they think the opposition is based on a misunderstanding of the topic at hand. Disgusting

Great job dodging every one of my points and moving the goalposts. I'm done with you.

Oh the irony. When you can't argue back just pretend it's their fault and rage quit. I moved the goal post? Yes, i denied your attempt at moral authority bitching about much corporate profits and pretending the supposed function of NN was important while simultaneously admitting the FCC never did jack shit with it.

you ever wanted to hug a robot?

if you don't have a slow lane you can't charge a premium to be in the fast lane. and if that isn't your intention, why bother repealing nn?

probably because NN has fuck all to do with anything and is just some Obama era nonsense that the current FCC can repeal and appear like they're doing their job. The purpose is the same in repealing it as it was enacting it. NN is an impotent bunch of lies to begin with. Neutrality on the internet has fuck all to do with ISPs to begin with. If internet is to be considered a public utility then ISPs, server hosts, domain registers, and other internet utilities need to be held to the same standards. NN didn't even do what it claimed to do. There is no neutrality with ISPs. They all blatantly throttle against decentralized transfer of information and blatantly give preferential treatment to large companies. It's all a show. Nothing is getting done and nothing is changing.
