I want to r/socialism today after seeing that bait thread about how just *evil* and *racist* this board is, and it turned into a fucking nightmare. I genuinely didn't anticipate how idcucked it was or could have been.
It's fucked up. It's bad. I believe you now. I genuinely didn't think there were self-described socialists who treated class and material fucking conditions like a "pick your own adventure game".
Also, I got banned.

The mods are just fucking terrible there. The actual users are a little better but the mods are so easily triggered it's embarrassing. I've never once dared to post there (although I lurk) because you can get banned for anything.

I got banned for defending the use of slurs on Holla Forums as a purely hollow symptom of Chan linguistics that has nothing to do with any actual bigotry (I use the same damn terms on here with impunity, but would never dare say them in real life, and recognize they have an entirely different use on 4/Holla Forums) - literally got banned for "ambiguity". It's pathetic. Any discourse that didn't completely conform to the ultra-id, ultra-sectarian pro-easily triggered camp was just immediately banned.
Like. I got 6 PM's within 2 hours from people who'd been banned and muted telling me to just not bother, or to not fuck with the mods. It's not actually a socialist board, it's just a masturbatory echo chamber about how great Lena Dunham is.
For seriously saying I didn't pay sycophantic idpol politics and forwarded class above all else. A BAN THREAT. I don't get it. What is the deal with r/socialism, seriously?
