The trick to it is not using ads hosted on ad networks, and actually putting them into the content hosted on the same site (so adblockers won't stop them), not using shitty auto-play video ads that everyone hates, and only accepting advertising that's relevant and doesn't annoy the shit out of your userbase.
Then you need to physically locate your servers in places with cheap electricity and fast internet access (eg. Sweden) and finally, have content worth a damn in the first place.

Nowhere has full democracy yet. Switzerland is the closest and that's doing pretty well. We need full democracy or as close to it as possible.

For example here in the UK (and it should be able to apply everywhere even if it needs tweaking) political parties should be abolished and each individual cabinet minister should be an expert in their field (eg a doctor as Health Minister) that is democratically elected. That would totally get rid of career politicians.

Other than the cabinet, all the other MPs should be got rid of and replaced with a different group of randomly selected people, 1 from each constituency, each week. I would call it "government duty" like jury duty. They would vote on day to day policy as well as getting a minute or two to speak about whatever they want. Some would also be able to ask the government questions in the same way its currently done in parliament, unless someone comes up with a better way. There would be accomodation built close to the Houses Of Parliament (or maybe even in it?) for those people to stay in each week

All major laws and policies would be voted on by the whole country in referendums. All MPs would pledge to reject political ideology and use science, facts and logic instead, but obviously with a bit of humanity thrown in otherwise you could end up with extreme things like killing all disabled and pensioners. MPs wouldn't be able to lie to the public either, that would be made a crime. Everything the do has to be totally transparent, unless it's something that needs to be top secret.

The only basic "ideology" the government would have is that it would be totally nationalist. It must work for the benefit of the country and indigenous people.

And of course rich people and big businesses would not be allowed to interfere with the government and any found trying to would be severely punished. No "special interests". Corruption should be totally eradicated.

That's just a basic overview of the system of government that needs to replace the current broken system.
