But then he forced me to man up, by holding that if I cried he would just leave me there alone.
After a few weeks of training I was almost autonomous, so he decided to leave me there alone.
I initially cried again but he made me realize that if I succeded he would start treating me like a man, so eventually I was convinced.
I lasted a whole 2 weeks there, my dad would come to check on me and give me some tips.
I built a shack, a bed, a furnace, tools, a water tank, a little canoe, sandals and an iron-headed spear.
It's amazing the skills this experience gives you, and you get in touch with every masculine side of yourself.
Plus the whole thing is free, all you need to do is find a good place with resources.

After much thinking and observation, I reached the conclusion that good parenting is done through "leading by example" rather than active speech and habits.

You don't raise a kid by constantly telling him to do X and making him do Y. You do X and Y yourself and he subconsciously becomes you later.
