Software thread

Let's do one of these threads again.

The NSA said I haven't met my quarterly data collection quota yet.

I decided to update the table and replace the torrent section with office.

is that you luke?

I posted this one and I'm not sure if I have misunderstood "Graphics". Would "feh" be considered graphics? I know this template is old and an user should definately extend it to include things such as image viewer, terminal, email client, and what have you

OS: Gentoo and OpenBSD
Environment: dwm
Browser: Degoogled Chromium
Language: ATS, C, OpenGL, JavaScript, node.js
Text: vis
Office: LaTeX
Graphics: GIMP
Music: MPlayer
Video: MPlayer
Backup: 2 * 1TB external drives

what a freakin meme

It's strange how people interpret "Music" and "Video" as viewers but "Graphics" as an editor.

OS - WIP/TBA
Environment - WIP/TBA
Browser - WIP/TBA
Language - Ada, Forth, Prolog
Text - WIP/TBA
Office - Libreoffice
Graphics - GIMP
Music/Video - VLC
Backup - Errr... any suggestions?

Graphics is a strange word to use if they meant picture viewer. I generally associate graphics with creation/design too.

Gentoo
kde plasma 5
Chromium
C, python, x86 asm
Vim, nano
LibreOffice
I'm not really a graphicsfag so GIMP is enough
Amarok
VLC
I have a 2GB sysrescuecd partition for when I inevitably fuck something up and 5TBs of raid 1 network storage for backup.

"Graphics" is a designer term. people use "images" for image viewing.

The only difference from when I made this in April 2015, is Transmission is now transmission-qt, (because gtk is nigger) and I no longer use Unison for backups (although it is a stellar program).
Also, running Slackware -current.

For what purpose? Literally everybody uses LibreOffice and/or LaTeX. At least torrent clients had DIVERSITY™.

I use Ted.

Did you not read the op? He NEEDS to fulfill his quota. My everything is a circle jerk of the mind :P. Also serious question since this is shitpost thread. Does anyone even use windows on 8ch besides shills? Like you would have to obtain balls of fucking steel to post on here with windows and not be a shill or stupid as fuck.

Windows is cucked to hell and back, there's no denying it, but yeah, from time to time I do. I've been having networking problems lately in leenoox, so occasionally I just switch to my gaym install. I sort of told my self to not do anything but gayms on it, so as to not pozz my day to day life outside of gayms, but when I had issues with networking, I was frustrated and didn't care.

Backup? Can't you just copy the files?

you need 2 more spaces for audio and video editing

audio ed : Audacity
video ed : virtualdub ( lazy ass, can't be bothered with new video ed tools )

i take it all these weird signs I've never seen b4 in the OS box are all different flavours of linux?

Honesty is the best policy dumbass. Also see . Still haven't got an answer to my question on this slide thread. Here have some bait. I use vlc because it is open source and gets the job done. It's also portable which is nice too.
