This is a new level of pity party, since misery loves company. But since they don't want to look too miserable they have this set of "acceptable" miseries they can use to fish for laugh and sympathy. Pretty much first world problem level of misery.

I like them sometimes. I agree most of the jokes aren't particularly original, but like with most comedy it's all in the delivery. Sarah Anderson is about the only one I really like though. Adam Ellis is legitimately unfunny, excepting a few chuckle worthy comics like . I think the reason I like Sarah Anderson is that she shows she can makefun of herself like pic related.
