I miss this kind of Heavy Metal, coffee table book from Marvel. I guess this kind of high aim died with Archie Goodwin and Epic.
Any chance of Star Slammers 2? I loved old Rojas and his "better half" Sojar, Colonel Phaedra the 4 foot sex bot turned nanny turned bodyguard, and her overprotective bulls, and the little vidiot who used Rojas' brain to play mil sims.
Or The Big Change graphic novel, which was really underrated. If "totally ignored" counts as underrated.
There's some good stuff from that era that's become obscure, like Void Indigo, Starstruck, Killraven, Alien Legion, Stray Toasters, Someplace Strange, Elektra: Assassin, all the works inspired by Metal Hurlant, back when it seemed for a little while that comics weren't just for kids anymore.
Then Image happened and the bar was not just lowered, but lost.
