This is not true, as can be seen in the activism videos, we regularly have heated discussions with people with different beliefs in each of our events, and people aren’t assaulted ”just for happening to disagree”.
The street activism escalated when a group of thugs started spitting on the activists and refused to leave. The mainstream media states that Karttunen was part of the aggressive party. Helsingin Sanomat has confirmed that Karttunen told the police he had spat on the protesters. (Spitting is defamation in juridical sense).

It is completely understandable that for example Karttunen’s father is shocked by the course of events and he aims to protect his son’s reputation in public. It is however shameful to use a utilize a relative’s death for political aims. According to the media and the father the 28 years old Karttunen was just a ”boy” (and ”a poetic boy”) and to empathize this the papers have spread an over 10 years old picture from Karttunen’s confirmation school. However, Facebook reveals that since those years Karttunen has changed radically. In one of his posts the poet boy threatens ”KELA (Finnish social security services) will blow up just about now if they won’t cough up money, PERKELE!”.
Why does the media want to whitewash Jimi Karttunen’s reputation even before the course of the events and the cause of death is clear? Resistance Movement organizes events almost monthly, and one can view videos of these events in YouTube. Despite of varied responses the events are peaceful unless the life or safety of the activists is threatened. In the fall of 2014 the far-left took responsibility for the attempted attack on the activists with iron pipes. For reasons such as these we are always mentally prepared to defend ourselves. In addition to this the far left has initiated violence against the 612 Independence Day march and Rajat Kiinni! [translated: Close the Borders] events without any public condemnation.
We don’t require our activists to agree to being spat on by leftists and immigrants with potential infectious diseases. Everyone in the security business knows this. The thug who spat on the activists who got straightened out left the scene on his own. The mainstream media however claims he was taken by an ambulance. Ilta-Sanomat and MTV3 tells us that Karttunen was shoved while Helsingin Sanomat says he was ”beaten to within an inch of life”. The press states that the police were not on the scene, even though a police car is visible in the video. Apparently the police considered the situation peaceful and didn’t feel further monitoring was necessary. Due to the confusion related to the events we cannot comment on the details.
Whatever the cause of Karttunen’s death may be, we think the case is regrettable and sad to the relatives. We however consider it extremely hypocritical that while the press called those honoring Arto Mikkonen’s memory were called ”white trash” in the media, while now the media says Karttunen’s case ”unites all Finns”.

That's why parts of the text are weird and use phrases, clumsy sentence structures and even punctuation an Eastern European would never use, when it comes to weird phrases it's mostly because the original phrase in English has a metaphorical meaning which they are too lazy to properly translate by finding an equivalent phrase with metaphorical meaning or if there is no equivalent phrase with metaphorical meaning they could just translate the metaphor rather than literally translate the phrase.

For example, one I've encountered recently, they translated "red flag" as in "crvena zastava", literally meaning red flag, but from the context from the original text they blatantly stole from the metaphorical meaning was obviously used, which is warning sign and since I don't know of an equivalent phrase which carries this metaphorical meaning, I would've had to go with "znak upozorenja" which means warning sign.
And if you look at the situation in my country, it's not like we don't have enough actual translators who could've at least proofread every stolen news article and checked if the translation was correct, it's just that our news companies (usually owned by Austrian Jews, pure cohencidence) can't be bothered parting from their shekels to actually hire some.
