A big part of the issue is that men don't know what it's like to be women nor vice versa. Tons of women literally believe the life of a man is largely rainbows and roses except when it's convenient to play the "feminism is good for men too" card so any hardship they face as women is assumed to be a hardship they face because they're women.
At the same time, you have a bunch of male cucks with white knight complexes who earnestly believe women have something to complain about simply because they hear the complaining. Since they don't know what it's like to be women, they feel inclined to take them at their word. Similarly, we don't know what it's like to be women either so coming up with a true reference frame for who has it harder is difficult.
