In all seriousness, you ever watch Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them? It takes place in early 1900s New York, and they specifically mention that magical/nonmagical marriage is outlawed, but cast a niggress as the President of the magic organization (U.S. equivalent of Ministry of Magic). The rest of the movie didn't have any shoehorned in diversity, except for this one, fucking, character that didn't fit the setting or established narrative they were going for.
