Yeah, I played it. I suck at platformers, but its a lot of fun regardless.

It's not like it's impossible to figure out the boss patters, it's pretty obvious what needs to be done.

The game is way harder with 2 people. I think that's where these reviewers are getting hung up. Single player is much easier because you dont have to coordinate jumps with the other player or worry about reviving.

I saw cuphead on Steam before I read anything about it, and I looked at the store page fit, which I rarely do… I rarely buy new games anymore (Im an oldfag) but I still play a couple FPS games occasionally.
Cuphead was the first game that really looked interesting in a long time. Most games spend a ton of effort on the "photo-realistic" thing, and then,,, really don't play very well.

If a lot of people see it as too hard, that does become a problem–for the company.
A computer game is entertainment, above all… and watching yourself die over and over at the same point isn't entertaining for very long.

Stole (cause im pissy there's no native linux build) the game and played it a little with Wine and steam controller and currently sitting at 52% completion. It's only an OK game and doesn't deserve the 10/10 it's gotten. Gameplay is dead simple and very easy to just keep playing due to the brainlessness of the activity. Never once did I feel a twinge of ragequit. I only actually enjoyed one boss, the dragon, while the rest just gave me a whatever-i-guess-i-gotta-beat-this-guy feeling.

Only once was it beneficial to not hold down the fire button so I had to switch to the charge weapon to make it not boring. Yeah I died a lot but that doesn't mean the game is super hard tbh.
