In the absence of social engineering, "fulfillment" based societies are enslaved or eradicated buy societies that organise themselves based on maximum effectiveness. Civilisations that transition from effective (i.e., traditional) structures to retarded egalitarian ones do so when they are in the process of decline. Eventually, they weaken themselves to the point where they are enslaved or eradicated by someone stronger. The most primitive societies (e.g., sub-Saharan Africa and various indigenous peoples) never advance at all and remain in the state of "fulfillment" only so long as they are undiscovered by stronger peoples. Also note that life within these "fulfilled" societies in unbearably brutal with something like 90% of adult males dying in tribal warfare.

There's a reason why humanity, even going beyond race and culture, has always gone with the nuclear family. It works for everyone and makes everyone prosper.
