I haven't storytimed anything in a while. I figured I'd go ahead and storytime Blueberry, an old but popular French comic about the Wild West.
I'm starting with a short story from closer to when Blueberry was finished just to get in the right mood. I read the first volume but it was before it got so unique in its art style that it feels bland, so I think the short story will set the mood.
So don't get surprised by the stark contrast.

It's a French comic, but is the story based on real life event? I actually like what I read, but there's time when the comic devolve into talking heads.

It's apparently based on the Apache Wars conflict. Looking at Wikipedia this story in particular follows the Chiricahua War.

That's actually pretty interesting piece of history. Western got muddled in fantasy western a bit too much a story that actually based on real event felt pretty fresh.
