I've tried heroin once (snorted), hated it. Actually ive tried dozens of drugs, most of which dont have street names anywho. Every opiate ive tried i strongly disliked. My consensus is that if you like opuates or most downers, you're on a path to destruction anyways and don't care about life otherwise you wouldn't need to "numb" yourself

Check to see if there were any recent prescription drug busts in your city. Usually when opiate street dealers get busted, their addicted customers turn to heroin because it's cheaper and easily to get. This causes an explosion in heroin sales and dummy pill users OD'ing on heroin because they underestimate it's potincy.

The popularity of heroin has everything to do with the increased abuse of prescription pills.
