Slovaks are the descendants or random Slavs who migrated to the mountainous northern parts of Hungary, and during the 18-19th century some of those Slavs come up with a "we wuz kangz" tier story about their origins. They also created an artificial language out of the various Slavic languages spoken there, yet even in the 20th century some of them thought that they should just adopt Czech instead. Then the Czech managed to annex the area after ww1, and thus what is today called Slovakia born.
