It just doesn't suit my needs. XFCE is fine though, have used it before.

yea xfce is nice, i'm using unity atm because xfce is a bit unstable (atleast on my system) and the desktop doesn't always load which i have to look into but i prefer xfce over unity.

I've used Cinnamon and Gnome most, because they generally feel most usable to me. XFCE would be my alternative if for some reason i couldn't use them anymore.
kde is cool too but it lacked in theming imo.
I haven't tried any other DE's, have you?
