That image panel really goes to show how intellectually bankrupt the left is. They don't even understand what their own position is, let alone why anyone not themselves ("right wingers") would disagree.
That quote is not even a socialist quote, just stating facts. The position could be that we need to end benefits to make those people less dependent on congressional chicanery

I am not a fan of socialism but if there is any situation in which it could work on a large scale and not just be a system of gibsmedats waiting to be abused by every lazy-ass opportunist, it would be one in which one ethnic group are all working toward a common purpose. This presupposes that there will be a shared culture which includes a strong work ethic.
Nations are built on ethnicities. People are naturally more trustworthy of their own kind. Whether that is something that we need to "move past" is debatable but that is hard-wired into us. It is just an extension of family on a large scale.
Multiculturalism has been shown to lead to a hunkering down type of behaviour where civic participation and social cohesion are eliminated.
