Youtube Boycott

Youtube is such bullshit, I wonder what the biggest barrier is for someone to make a coherent alternative?

It's funny that despite how open the internet economy is for competition, a few small groups of enterprises own all Internet media outlets.

I feel we could make an anonymous Internet forum similar to the chans system where the only thing that isn't allowed are things that violate the 1st amendment or are illegal.

...

...

I have an idea, hear me out.

We should make a torrent tracker for youtube videos, with modified foss clients to download and watch them. The way it would work is fetching the original steams if the video is not already in the system, or if parts are missing/not enought seeders.

This would also make it resilient to deletions/censorship.

Youtube has a fuck-huge library of videos, plus it is the go to place to upload them. And not all of them are shit, there is surprisingly decent content.

TL;DR: No videos taken down, no views (revenue) given to the Jews due to no publicity, can still enjoy the videos.

*steams/streams

That first image doesn't account for how much the internet has grown, it's far larger now than it was in 2007. Many of those new users might not have used it nine years ago.

Notice on how most of youtube videos are 10 minutes with the explicit purpose of shortening your atention span.

Costs of content delivery networks to ensure that the video streaming quality is not shit, hypothetical monetization plans to keep content creators from abandoning your place in favors of those that have them, writing your own video hosting service or worse buying one from private companies, having to deal with anti-piracy and anti-paedophilia laws of that given country where you're hosting your website, having to either pay some fuckwits to moderate the whole place (hoping that they don't become cancerous or abuse their powers) or resorting to automated, inefficient moderating robots and finally hosting a non volatile database for the videos.

Basically you either do all of that and operate it at a loss or you skip some of them and give a terrible service no one will use but to double host their shit in the event that youtube or nowvideo takes them down. I'm sure there's more reasons why making an entire new service without some background fuckery and jewry isn't feasible, but these are the ones that come off top of my head.

mediagoblin.org/ perhaps?

OP here.

Thanks guys for such consideration.

I wouldn't say that the purpose of the boycott is to create a new lenient Youtube but rather as an indirect message that censorship will be costly for anyone that would want to dictate too much terms on their users, especially for some whom intend to make a living off it.

I will go back on Half Chan and repost this along with the guidelines I provided. I'll see what the general census is from that point.

Any other ideas that could be contributed the "Youtube Boycott Guidelines" would be great. If anyone could perhaps share some of these examples on reddit we can probably increase its support.
