Votes go by winning the state. So say there's only 3 states in the US. One has a pop of 5 thousand people and hillary wins. Another has a pop of 10 thousand and hillary wins that. But the last one has a pop of a million and trump wins that by way more than 15 thousand. Hillary still wins because she had the most states. Now in the general election i believe different states have different values so it's a big fucking mess and don't believe anyone who says the outcome is concrete.
