I thought that might be the case. Best I can do is offer some references and suggest that the only way to learn to draw feet is to just do it. Do 100 shitty drawings of feet and eventually you'll suck a little less. Practice practice, and so on.

The hands are alright, but I was told that right leg was off when I posted it elsewhere.

I don't really think it's broken myself, but it does look a touch awkward. Maybe bring her middle fingers together. The right leg's mostly fine until you hit the ankle, then it kind of looks a little short and folds over itself.

Yeah, the right leg twists at a ~ 60 degree angle at the ankle.
Honestly, a bit of a shame to fix it, because the shoe looks really nice.

I personally like the outline thing. Though by mentioning it you brought my attention to this: The shading on her hair and face kinda clashes with the complete lack of shading on the body

The lineart is alright, but it could be a little more subtle, like a darker color. Her skin is completely black in the show, and I think the lineart defines her skin and supposed purple color way better. It should be just a little darker.

Thanks for the input. I'll try to keep these things in mind for next time. Perhaps making her skin a shade lighter so it too can have some shading. At least then the hair shading won't clash. Also making her lineart darker.

I don't really use any guides. To practice, I pretty much grab pictures from gelbooru, paheal or imagefap and use them as a reference.

I do not think this is working out all too well.

I use references when I can, but do try to deviate from it in a few ways to avoid just copying the reference outright. This has been more detrimental than helpful, I find.

I would only use real life pics, if it wasn't for the fact that it's hard to find them well categorized by specific positons and fetishes.

That's good to know. It was a much more complex pose than what I normally do so it's nice that it's going fairly well.

I tried giving them slightly more realistic shaped faces, but I can see why it looks off. I've since changed it to a more cartoony style.

I also adjusted one of their hands and one of their feet to better match the angle they'd be viewed at. Foreshortening is rather difficult but with some more adjustments I can probably make it look cleaner.

I will have to work on it a bit later as right now I want to focus on perfecting a sort of comic idea/concept.

The Shadman hate? Beats me. We get a lot of spergs on the site. Well, probably a couple of noisy spergs and a few more kids trying to fit in by joining in on any hatebang hey see without really understanding what's going on.

I do understand the Shadman criticism. What I don't understand is the hate. It's also true that he is overrated. The Shadman hate have been there almost since he became famous,which makes me think is just some contrarian hipster thing.

Shadman is actually multiple artists right? Or at least is associated with some really shit artists I know that. I think that is where a lot of the criticism comes from, but most of it is legitimate. The one that most people hate is the artist that puts tattoos, piercings on everything, and draws a lot of stupid shit.

Well, I say the hate comes from a combination of factors. His artstyle is not good, with especially awful shading, and often broken anatomy, yet he is insanely popular. That comes most likely from the fact that his porn is literal degeneracy, not ever meme degeneracy - whoring, tattoos, rape and intentional gross-out. All of this causes people to have very antagonistic response.
It does not help that, well, the "conflict" has been going on for such a long while that both pro-shad and anti-shad people are willing to jump at each other's throats at a drop of a hat.

It's not worth hating tho. I mean there's a lot of artists did the same but no one hating them because they simply not as popular as Shadman. Shadman getting all the hate from treating characters into total slut and whore or giving them penis. And yet Tekuho did the same and people actually like his works.

My theory is why he became so popular is because he got several works that's actually SFW enough to be posted on several social sites or message boards so it attract a lot of people to check out his website. Some will be hooked and some will be disgusted. Repeat this cycle and to gain a lot of infamy.

It's mostly just a meme, though the general reasons are as follows

His women are exceedingly trashy, like, above and beyond. Smoking, piercing riddled there are numerous pictures of his in which the women have anus piercings for fuck's sake tatoo covered, foul mouthed cunts. All well and good if you like that sort of thing, but it's pretty niche.

Other than that, he's got questionable anatomy. He's gotten better, but ultimately it's still kind of odd. And his art style has this odd wonky plastic look that puts me off personally. His weird attempt at making everything look exaggerated but realistic clash really hard and make most of his pictures look kind of unfappable, in my humble opinion.

I guess it can go like that, but I was told earlier that having stuff like hair and outfit shaded doesn't mesh well with a solid black figure so I've been trying give some variation to her skin while still keeping her as dark as possible. Most of the drawings I've done with her in the past she was completely dark with no real shading.

I kind of agree. Originally the hips were a bit wider but I thought that looked a bit off. I might shrink her breasts down a little when drawing the actual line art.

They are…anatomically correct. Which is good. It's just a matter of if it fits the character. In the show she's not as busty as how I've drawn her.

I think perspective for what you're going for is okay, he torso is slightly right as her arm is raised it works, mind you my right may be her left raised arm is okay as long as her torso is winded a little upward/right and for her other arm place it on her hips if you don't know what to do with it as it's kind of awkward unless she's doing a jazz hands routine.
As for the large breasts don't worry about it when it comes down to it you either add some more on top of her or you do it on model, her on model has quite perky breasts and whether it's big and round, or perky and round I'll take what I can get overall. I only suggested areola because they look odd without them and the nipples are like mosquito bites.

I might change her right hand a little when doing the lines. As for the nipples, I will be adding the areola when coloring the picture in. It looks weird now but it'll eventually look like

All right now a see but areola tends to be a little puffy following the nipples not just an alternate color is all. hopefully I didn't muck up right and left as I saw it her left hand was free and her right was exposing her breasts, her right is okay as long as as I said the perspective is her moved with her arm sort of to the right and her left is on the wayside doing nada which looked strange. Again you can do nude, clothed, and classic clothed alongside large breasts with wider hips, large breasts hips you got there, perky breasts wide hips, and perky breasts with same hips you got there.

I'll keep that in mind when drawing them in. I've done the line art but will go back and make sure it looks a little better still. For her right arm (viewer's left) I decided to have it raised some. She'll be holding a pair of pants or her skirt in it depending on the picture so basically she's stripping down for whatever reason.

Don't worry about unfinished pictures as long as you're willing to finish them it's fine, there used to be a few people and all they'd do is draw Queenie all the time and take advice on how to improve and how to improve X image. I love the hips and breasts on the clean line art a lot.

If I had any ability I'd start drawing myself however my motivation is killed for months at a time if I get depressed so it's not a good idea. I only have a grasp on things honestly, I end up reading books halfway and forgetting about it.

I know how you feel. I used to be incredibly shit at art too and the frequent failures to get any better was incredibly depressing. At one point I just up and left Holla Forums and I haven't posted until this thread. So believe me, I know how you feel.

If there is some advice I can give, I'd say find a reference pose and just outright try drawing that. Nothing changed, just draw exactly what you see on the picture. Occasionally just draw individual parts like feet, hands, faces, etc.

Once you get a grasp on that, you can start branching out. Draw most of a pose the same but change something like the position of the arms or legs or whatnot. This is pretty much where I'm at now. This is the point where you should reasonably be able to draw some things free hand without much issue.

I'm not even shit at art I'm not anything at art I can't even draw shapes properly and my hands twitch all over the damn place. I don't even know how to draw individual parts like feet, hands, faces and the like. Poses are lost when I cannot even grasp how to draw a body correctly nor anything for that matter. I suppose something other than video games would be a wise move to pick up and I wont begin working for another year or so.

Queen Tyr'ahnee and whatever strikes my fancy to draw. I might buy some cheap ass pencils and blank paper and practice there 'cos I don't own a tablet or anything specifically special.

If you're going to draw Tyr'ahnee, she's basically a person minus a visible nose and mouse so you'll have to get good at drawing people.

Also I was able to finish the line art for the blank pose. Tomorrow I'll work on the line art for both versions. Any suggestions as to what the background should be?

I can barely even draw the figure of a woman so even if she has no nose making a face easier to draw I can't even do her head properly, so yeah I'll have to practice overall.
I'm not sure a bedroom or something similar environment perhaps? Showing her breasts would be for a private moment if any.

As said before, start with copying a reference exactly (both for full body and individual parts) and keep close attention to how things are pieced together.

Also it might be a good idea to study how other people have drawn stuff. Both the super realistic studies as well as the more cartoonish stuff. Nothing too cartoony like Adventure Time or Steven Universe but something still grounded a little in proper anatomy. The body is an absolute mess of nuances and intricacies and information so if you're able to cross compare how it actually looks with how people end up drawing it when cutting away at a bunch of the nuances, it might help you figure out exactly how people go about drawing the more complex structures.

I should stress though that studying actual anatomy is the top priority.

Coloring is quite flat making it odd to look at. Overall her skull of an odd shape and her eyes don't match up either. Her body looks pretty good from what I can really tell though.

I'd also argue to be more mindful of highlights/shading. On her face, which I assume if blushing, looks very off. Like an attempt at highlights gone wrong. I think the nose looks fairly alright if the nostril area was a bit better.

How many layers did you use when coloring?

4 for the base colors and 2 for the blending.

Might have been because I was using a new brush for it.

Do you know how to lock layers? It seems some of the colors from one part such as the collar/necklace or skin gets into other parts like the hair.

I generally lock layers only to recolor stuff so the idea didn't occur to me.

Best I can come up with. Tried to find a mix between a human like body and alien features. Just having a Predator head on a woman's body would have been a bit weird.

The arms came out nice in my opinion but I think I need to practice on drawing abdomens and torsos.

There's female Yautja and they're 10-12 feet tall look very female for their own species are stronger, smarter and a hell of a lot more brutal males go on hunts to get laid. Essentially it's a female predator with big tits, wide hips etc. Nice image though.

Tried redrawing a female Predator to be a bit more brutish. Kind of hard to demonstrate size without something to compare it with so I added Tyr'ahnee. She's quite tall.

I kind of like the picture. I might clean up the line art if I get the chance.

Decided to take a crack at redoing older art. There's a lot of old art that can be redone. The hard part is finding one interesting enough to redo.

It's quite nice to see how much things have changed. I should try this more often if I find any others I want to try re-doing.

Anatomy is easily one of the more difficult things to perfect. There's a lot of subtle stuff that if you don't get right, it looks really off.

Nice job I really liked that swimsuit with the HDM mod I added to that game, makes all the girls as busty as their DoA:X3 Paradise on the PS4 incarnations and it's pretty nice, can even control the jiggle. I wouldn't mind seeing this with a bit more polish, you didn't have to draw the trees I'd be fine with her wherever and just wearing those magic suspenders. As for comments her waist may be too small but otherwise it's pretty good.

No the females would snap you with their strength but they did take a human lover once I think I read. It's not like a male predator man, female Yautja are massive, incredily strong and much, much smarter than the males. They lead, and create most of the technologies the males use and the males go on hunts to win favors with the females. A female would not willingly kill you nor would the males if and only if you killed a predator male or were deemed worthy of their hunts which in case you do if you're male you can have sex with a yautja and probably have your pelvis crushed and if you're female you'll probably be taken in by males.

I'll try to keep that in mind for next time.

Used to have tons of ideas for what to draw outside of just her posing. These days I don't really have any.

I've seen guides for breasts though I'm totally unsure how to go about them. Most of your stuff is a little rough too. Overall as for poses I'm sure you can come up with something.

I tend to do rough sketches of what things should look like before working on a clean line art since it's easier to edit if there's any major issues. For example:

Poses I think I'm kind of alright with but the issue for me has always been never being satisfied with just the character standing around posing. I tend to like having a reason for them to be there or a background or whatever. Coming up with that reason is the more difficult part.
