From eating trash food, smoking, watching porn, to sleeping late.

How the FUCK do I do it? What's the best and scientifically proven way to stop these habits /fit/?

Chan is my worst habbit. Spend like 12 hours a day on here for 7 years. Literally was spending 12 hours a day for a couple years. As in I don't even let myself play vidya cause constantly lurking.

Scientifically speaking when your brain gets a queue (stress, getting into bed, getting home from work) that triggers a habit response (smoking, porn, drinking) you HAVE to give it some or the the craving will eat you alive from the inside. The trick is to REPLACE the BAD habit with a BETTER habit that gives a similar reward (exercise, nonporn sexual release, stress relief)

Start by focusing on one thing you want to change. Make it easier for you to change - decompose the change into easier steps and change your environment so it's difficult or impossible for you to engage in the behavior you want to change.

I wish I did that in my teens. Discovering chans in my 30's feels too late

Limit fapping. Don't have to go full nofap but if you're 100% sexually satisfied all the time it does over time limit the drive for self improvement.

All of your bad habits ultimately derive from your addiction to electronic media, which skews your perception of time. This in turn skews your body's natural rhythms with regard to sending appropriate nutritional. physical/emotional, and sleep signals to your brain about what it needs/wants.

Essentially, these things are symptoms of addiction.

First, be glad that you are not addicted to smack or something like that. Second, if you are serious about wanting to change these habits, you need to unplug. From all of it. Internet, TV, cellphone, tablet, radio…all electronic media. Do that for six months and your body will readjust itself to reality. Then you can start reintroducing media back into your life. But do so carefully, and severely limit it to that which reinforces reality rather than provides an escape from reality. Using anything as an escape will always lead to addiction.

Just ask yourself "would I date me?" & your answer is NO so make the changes that would make yourself dateable. Drop the bad habits & find healthy hobbies that keep you active. Addiction / habits are all mental I know from experience.

To start go out and buy melatonin and L-theanine. Figure out when you want to get up and subtract 8 hours from that time to find the time you need to get to bed by. An hour before turn off the computer take the melatonin and L-theanine and start doing something mentally exhausting like reading a book or puzzles. Keep doing this until your extremely sleepy. Wake up at your desired time and repeat until you can go to bed and wake up exactly when you want.

Look up the keto diet. Ketosis is an amazing tool that can help you get your impulses under control. Just by eating meat you can entirely fill your body up for the entire day without ever having to worry about feeling hungry.

I don't have much help in this regard other than forcing yourself to not buy anymore packs. Like everything that came before this will depend on your willpower and it doesn't seem like you have much.

This, this is the best advice. You just stop, you never put your dick in a pencil sharpener so you don't eat trash food, you don't smoke, you don't watch porn and you stop going to bed late.
That's the basic answer.

The more detailed answer is this:

You either do this because of convenience or because you feel that you don't eat enough in general. Drink 64 ounces of water a day, you will find that your desire to drink junk shit like gaterade, poweraid, or any soda will disappear. Plus, your appetite will be weaker. As for replacing your snackatarian habits, eating shit like chips or snack foods. Replace that with celery and baby carrots, you get hungry, you eat that. You can eat as much celery as much as you want because its basically water. As for carrots, they are good for you and filling.

Just start vaping to ween off it. There are 15 mg's of nicotine in a single cigarette, a puff of a vape, depending on the wattage and the nic content of the juice itself, it is significantly lower. It'll be an adjustment, but you'll notice the freedom it allows you to do it on your bathroom break or take a puff during work when no one is looking. At the end of the day when you want to smoke, the desire to do so will be less.

Vaping is more expensive, but if you are an aggressive smoker, then you honestly will spend less on vaping. If you are like I was, smoking maybe 2 or 3 cigs a day, then you will spend a bit more then I did.

Just nofap, go on walks, go work out and stop looking at it. Shut down your computer and delete all the apps on your phone that allow you easy access to that stuff. Also avoid image boards, that's what I did for about 2 weeks and I didn't see lewd pics for the same time. Switch to a more disconnected form of porn like hentai or drawn images to avoid relating it to real life expectations, it works for me.

Go to bed early. Hit the hay by 8pm or 9pm and force yourself to lay there. If you really have trouble, then take melanin for a bit to help ease you into the sleeping schedule. If you don't want to do that. Buy chamomile tea, stay off the computer and phone after work (assuming you get off at 5pm). Just commit to shutting down all electronic devices 2 hours before bed. Read a book or a comic, or whatever. Do something before bed.
