This is only about monetization, most people aren't going to be affected by this and it would have to affect a lot of the people most users care about for people to care or even know about it.
The reasons people don't leave sites like twitter or youtube is because they don't care and/or know about the negatives, which keeps the rest of us on those sites because if we want the audience of the normalfags, rather than just circlejerking amongst ourselves, we have to go where they are.

Start reporting gaming channels, start reporting anything monetized (it'll probably take more than a few anons), but if youtube is selective about their enforcement I doubt this will have any effect.
Also as most people have pointed out we don't exactly have a chosen alternative website.
