This is one my collections, my bottle cap collection. As of my last count I have 199 bottle caps.

Interesting. What led you to collect bottle caps?

Idk, I thought they were fascinating and I just decided to start holding onto them eventually. I've filled up a large plastic bag with them. I guess the Fallout games help, too! That reminds me that I actually have some special Fallout related bottle caps that I keep separate from the others. Do you collect anything?
Btw, here's just a couple of the stamps I enharited from my late Grandfather. He collected quite a few.

moar OC

I've got to be very careful with them. Here's some from Hungary.
I've also got these comic book cards. I think I'm missing some of the holographic ones but that's it.

How many do you have form countries that no longer exist?

Well I've got some from Austria during Austria Hungarian empire, pre and post Soviet revelution Russia, African countries I'm not sure about, Czechoslovakia, and I know this one doesn't count but Germany from all different time periods, including before WW1.

...

Well no one else is posting but for meritorious service in providing OC I am declaring you heterosexual

Aww, thanks mate!
Sure wish I wasn't the only one posting content still, though.

Somebody help. These things are going to suck to move.

I posted all of my bones a while ago. I just made a thread about it a few months ago though. I have some feathers as well.

I collect bad memories

I remember you, cool thread

don't know why but just collecting porn is my shit.
spanning back form windows 98 computer till today.

My name is Dysnomia, and I own the worst collection of horrible chan threads in internet history. You can see them at 8ch.net/b/. I'd post a pic of them, but it would get deleted.

Are those vinyl records? Got any Elvis?

dafuq is wrong with u ppl

I've had this one folder on my pc that has grown to about 850gb and it's about 6 years old now. The main collection consists of ebooks, music, anime pics and porn. All the pictures are handpicked during the course of 6 years.

There's something about collecting anime pictures that always gets me excited.

Very nice. I'm impressed.

Most impressive.

Holy shit dude, did you play for keeps a lot or what?

Laserdiscs, user. Laserdiscs.

Christ, this is a playbook for virginity

...

Even in small boxes they weigh a ton. Especially those CEDs. Not a lot of Blue CEDs Do you have anything good?

A collection thread? That's something I can get behind. Here's my lego minifig collection. I need to update it, though. Pic contains 585 figures, 92 microfigs and 2 macrofigs. I've added about 150 figs since then.

Nigger, don't even collect anything

Careful user that butthurt you are collecting is reaching critical mass.

A true collector does not stigmatize less valuable collection pieces, and values all individual differences of the various items. I agree with the duplicates concern, though.

Nice coin collection; looks bigger than mine.

I have 263 used cum socks in my collection - so far!

This is a bit out of date. Taking pics of my shelves is the easiest way to see exactly what i already have, especially since im autistic and have to organize in reading order instead of by series or something.

Last pic was my unread shelf, but ive made a lot of progress on it since. Also, Ive finished my Marvel Transformers collection, not counting the UK stuff. Really triggers me that Generation 2 wasnt reprinted with the rest though.

I wish that i had a child, so that i could read them these stories, in order, every night. It is by far the longest, most complex story ever written. And i want to spread my autism to a person who is actually in the target audience. In fact, their autism would be better, because theyd be reading more of it in order, and starting earlier. Theyd be in a better position to get deeper down the rabbit hole than i ever could. But alas, the same autism that gives me this urge ensures i will never reproduce. So be it. I will continue to live in the DCU. Its better than this degenerate Earth anyway. So long as it doesnt get completely cucked like modern marvel. '70s Marvel is still the best though.

im searching right now but i have a collection of garbage patch kids

Nice, I have a lot of this stuff as comics and it just sits in boxes. At least you have books you can display and read. What is the ratty looking sign? does your floor look like a junk yard too?

The sign is some old metal Green Lantern sign that I had found the day I was taking a picture. Found a similar Captain America one, too. I take pics whenever I get a good haul to make sure they're relatively up to date, but I usually do it as soon as I get home, before I forget, so they're kinda shitty since they're just for my own reference. Also in these ones I was only partway through moving a bunch of my non-comic books to a new shelf to make room for like 150 issues of Fantastic Four that I had just picked up.

The floor around my shelf is filled with boxes full of single issues, mostly from when I got into collecting them around the New 52. Got most of the New 52 runs of a lot of series I liked, but after a few years had to quit due to too many crossovers making it infeasible and far too expensive to collect entire stories. It is cool to have things like the entire run of Forever Evil, with all the tie in issues, in order, though. It's like 150 issues or some shit, but I really liked that one.

I've been thinking of doing my own book binding forever. It doesn't look that hard, and I've seen people online that make nice hardcover collections out of their single issues. But finding all the right supplies from a craft store has been a pain. I guess I should just get the stuff online. I wouldn't do it with any older issues I have, but stuff like the aforementioned New 52 collection isn't gonna ever be worth money anyway. And the rarest single issue I have is probably just the issue of Marvel Team-Up where Spider-Man teams up with the original cast of Saturday Night Live and Belushi fights the Silver Samurai. I had to get that one because it's not reprinted in the Essential Marvel Team-Up volumes, apparently because of Bill Murray being a dick about likeness rights.

lumber

Are the "essentials" colored? I was thinking about taking the dive into some old marvel series but there are so many places to start with the big heroes and I'd rather just buy stuff in big volumes than spend a lot of time/effort collecting.

Marvel's Essential collections are not colored, nor are DC's equivalent Showcase Presents collections. I still highly recommend them. The only reason I got The (X) Chronicles from DC and Marvel Masterworks Golden Age Marvel Comics and Human Torch is because both companies only print these premium color collections for the Golden Age stuff. You can get it for Silver Age stuff too, like I have the first two volumes of Marvel Masterworks Fantastic Four, and it's nice and all, but I wouldn't say it's worth the price. The color editions have half the issues of the black and white ones. So after getting two color Fantastic Fours I switched to the black and whites for the rest. The color is nice, but nobody remembers the colorist on a comic. Frequently the black and white prints look better than something that wasn't colored well, and coloring technology was very limiting until the mid-1990s, though one could argue that doing a good job with those limits was part of the art. But the guy who drew the comics was never the same guy coloring them. Comics are drawn with black and white in mind, usually with minimal coloring cues handed from the penciller to the colorist.

Collecting single issues is an absolutely ridiculous task, though. You're right to not bother, especially with old issues. For any character you're probably interested in reading, their first appearances also go for hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, so it's not like you're not getting a reprint anyway.

I also highly recommend just downloading comics. It's very easy and is the only way to get plenty of comics that have never been reprinted. Plus, the official collections frequently leave out tie in issues and stuff. Older ones even edited issues to remove subplots that weren't relevant to the main plot. That said, as you can see, I still like having the physical books.

Also, note with the Essentials, they only reprint the actual series, sometimes with select spinoff issues. Like Amazing Spider-Man is in a different book than Spectacular Spider-Man, which is in a different book than Marvel Team-Up (which also stars Spider-Man). So when I'm reading '70s Spider-Man, I read one issue of Amazing, then put the book down and read one issue of Spectacular, then put it down and read one issue of Team-Up, to read them all in order. The Marvel Masterworks collections do this too. The DC collections, on the other hand, do not. Superman Chronicles and Showcase Presents: Superman print stories from Action Comics, Superman, and World's Finest, in order, which is much more convenient.

But this is probably all too autistic for someone who isn't already into it. The point is, just download. And if you are buying, don't be put off by the black and white collections. They're more than worth it. Usually very cheap, too.

Been building up my collection for 2 years now

Last shelf

Pretty neato user, what translation of Mein Kampf is that?

Stalag.
Also check your ID and No.

wew lad
Where'd you get it from? I looked all over but couldn't find the stalag, ended up settling for Ford which has shit tier cover art and line formatting.

Got it at a gun show. Not sure if they sell this version in your country

I'm a burger with a VPN, so it's no issue. maybe I should just look around at irl places which might sell it, if not a gun show maybe at pawn shops or used book salesmen or whatever. Seems like a stretch to find it but I'll keep my eyes open

nevermind, found it on the website

This isn't everything but it's most of it. I'd msbe more active in buying more but fucking scalpers killed the market and the fun of it

I'm jelly. I also sympathize with your mistake of falling for Before Watchmen and Kick-Ass. I did too, but with the original issues, not the collections. Kick-Ass is one of the only times I'd ever say the movie was better than the book.

It is a pity everyone thinks their mas produced carts and cds is rare and worth hundreds. Most of my stuff i bought new.

Recently did find and buy a decent game haul unfortunately also ended up getting very sick because the guy that owned it kept it somewhere with a bunch of black mold or maybe they were flood finds or something. After two days with it in my home I started feeling tired with flu like symptoms had trouble breathing at night. Kept waking up gasping. Then when I went to inspect some of the carts mostly snes I saw black shit on the pins of some of them started opening them up and they were caked with black mold even inside. It took a day to clean everything and I feel a bit better but that shit could have killed me in my sleep if i had not found it.

Still I guess it is better than finding a bunch of brown recluse spiders in them.

When the scalpers finally get into Wii U "collecting," they'll finally meet their end and balance will be restored.

Just read Bone again, forgot how dark it got towards the end. Before Watchmen felt like a 13 year olds edgy fanfic. Also Kickass just felt it was trying too hard to be adult oriented.

I think I've seen you post this before. Or it was someone else with Soul Eater and a magazine in front of it.

I had a friend that used to go dumpster diving in a mall that had a gamestop and over the course of a summer he found dozens of old systems and games that people just threw out because gamestop wouldn't take. Yet other people insist on whording stuff because they think someday their stuff will be a lot of money. Soon it will go the way of pokemon cards and beanie babies when these people realize that there are tens of thousands of people who are also saving all of their old shit.

Only 1/10th of the coins/bills I have. I have many more back home. Maple money isn't something I tend to collect but when people pay you with collectable stuff it just builds up.

...

Make that 268!

some of my old PC games

Far Cry 1 great game, i still play it

that's fucking beautiful

Thanks
My Brother has some of mine that aren't in the pic.

None of the pics for the folders in pic related are dupes.

pho/t/o user

what a fucking collection
what do you think the majority of the pictures are?
porn right

i've got yugioh cards since i had the notion that i was actually good at the game
binder full of shit that people might need, tin full of stuff that i interchange with the decks often, decks: spyral, zombie, ninja, d/d/d, cardian
used to also have gem-knights, six samurai, x-sabers but i've traded them for other decks ages ago

No, Not really.

The overall collection is closer to 40% pron pics
and 60% other topics.
My WW II set was over 20k as an example.
I did about 7 War and Military sets.

vidya collecting is cool.
what item(s) do you conseider to be the "holy grail(s)" of your collection?

I don't have 1 particular rare item mostly because I'm a poorfag but I have a bunch of 2600 game manuals that might get a fair price.
