it was ok. the matrix came out, so there was a lot of annoying cyperpunk cunts. popular music was about to turn to shit in the 2000's but some interesting genres developed. the economy was alright as far as I could tell as a high school kid. porn sucked ass compared to now.

Nostalgia has a way of making things seem better than they really were. Beyond the usual sentimental reminiscing, I dont think there was anything all that extraordinary about the 90's. Sure, the decade was interesting in certain ways, especially with all the novel technology, but it was really around the time when cable modems and cell phones became an essential part of life when I could sense a major shift. For better or worse (mostly worse), I think people will look back on the 2000's as much more of an exciting time.
For me, while the 80's was a VAPID decade in many ways, it seems utterly quaint by today's standards, and I definitely yearn for the simplicity. Oh, and the horror movies kicked ass.
