Which one? Bitcoin or Ethereum ? Which one will stand the test for investment

...

weed lmao

You have to admit they have gone up in value a lot since they have come out. And I hear Amazon will soon allow a transaction for crypto currency.

they've also gone down a lot. they're too volatile to be good investments.

The price oscillates across a general upward trend. Crypto is a good place to put a fraction of your investment, as well as precious metals and some fiat.

you know what else's price had an upward trend?

Enron's

Fair point.

I will put it under advisement

Litecoin

isn't that just a copy of bitcoin ?

just go all in on Tesla. that's what I did last year, and it's worked out great.

solved Bitcoins big problems by design years ago

such as?

volatility

how does Litecoin solve that?

by shoving a dick up your ass

can we get back on topic here

i don't know what i'm talking about. ( is me)

Why not Monero?

i'll bite. Why Monero?

PIVX, Dash and Ethereum are the hot stuff last I heard

he's an anti-socialist Venezuelan. he's a jew though

Cryptocurrencies, which I used to think of as "investments", have a wide range of applications, depending on which blockchain technology you support. Blockchain technology will radically change our world, and already is. I own a wide variety, and each has its own special charm, along with its own difficulties, pros and cons, ups and downs, etc. Still though, I would advise against thinking of cryptocurrencies as "investments". They have USES, and should be USED, as mediums of exchange with no third parties, like central banks, involvement, no counterparty risk. Some will stand the test of time, some will not. I have lost a lot, but have gained much much more. Bitcoin is both popular and good, but has scalability issues which have not been solved. It is also FAR from anonymous, and every single transaction can be tracked by anyone. That is the public ledger power of the blockchain. Some, like Monero, use certain ways to get around this, and I do have some Monero, and have for more than 4 years, but the one I think is doing the best on this front, and is still usable and popular, would be DASH. I've been "invested" in it since it was Darkcoin, and cost less a dollar per coin. It's close to $200 today. I think it has a lot of room to grow, and has a good development team. Their coin-mixing technique is quite unique and provides a high level of anonymity in transactions, along with a simple usability factor. There are new DASH wallets that are pretty damn secure, although I still keep most all of my cryptos in cold storage paper wallets, as I am old school. That way I can give copies of my wallets to friends and family for safekeeping and backups, and they have no access, and I can always move shit around, into and out of hotwallets and other cryptos. DO NOT leave your shit on the exchanges! You don't want to get Goxxed. If you don't even know what that means you are FAR from being ready to dive into the wonderful world of blockchain technologies. I would advise you to do a LOT of research first, then start small. Move some cryptos around, make some transactions, get comfortable first before pouring all your cash into them. Diversify your portfolio. I have precious metals, guns, ammo, a wide array of cryptocurrencies and have invested in a few companies that are based around the blockchain technology. This is the wave of the future, like it or not. By all means, be a part of it, but do not rush headlong, foolishly half-cocked into anything you do not fully understand, thinking you're gonna make piles of money! Do you even know what "money" is? Truly? I would start there. Do some research. Educate yourself. Don't let the central banks control your future. Their own future does not look too bright to me!
Good Luck!

bitcoin is king
ethereum is crap. It is a coin that was premined 70% by butters and his goons. Butters then dumped 6 million coins to make himself rich. Satoshi Nakamoto owns some 1.8 million bitcoins but he never dumped a single coin all these years.

Every premined coin is a shitcoin
Every single ICO is a scam.

Gtf back to leddit if you don't have any proofs you retard

Vitalik Buterin, creator of Ethereum and one of the most serious folk in the industry. Eth poses a real threat to BTC's kingdom and reditards are scared about it

IOTA

Crashed and burned, didn't it?

i don't think so.. looking at the chart now. It has gone down relative to a couple days ago, but if youre in crypto you would realize literally 99% of coins do when there's insecurity regarding bitcoin. Like now, with the forking biz ahead.

When there's not any insecurity regarding bitcoin, most is up.

I suppose i should delineate. if youre looking at half a year-2 year i would put all in iota. if youre looking at shorter timeframes, maybe in bitcoin. even after the fork tomorrow there's still a fork in november so it's going to be quite volatile.

You are entirely correct. I haven't informed myself much about IOTA save for the overall hype (ZOMG microtransactions no minerz guize) and that very hype made me shy away. But 8b is one of the few info sources I still kind of rely on. Would you mind to share your knowledge on IOTA?
Volatility is good. It makes big whales shy away, cowards (including myself) lose cash, and nimble traders make dosh.

just search it. they don't use a blockchain but something they call a tangle which is a directed acyclic graph. instead of miners verifying transactions every 10-60 min or so in bitcoin, every time you send a transaction the software verifies 2 other transactions before sending yours. this makes it so that fees are unnecesary, spam trans are impossible and there's no transaction roof. it also means every trans takes like 2 secs before it's safe.

right now i think they have a software prog just send trans back and forth if theres no network activity so that things will be fast, but obviously the more the network is used the more they can scale this kind of thing down.

neither

I hope you people do know that IOTA is 100% premined and whales are holding most of it.

ETH was premined, you can research it online if you don't believe me. Or how could have butters cashed out 6 million if he did not own them. A significant part of ETH supply is owned by butters and his crew.

Sorry for being a newfag but how does cryptocurrency work exactly?

you know how normal currency works? crypto is like that, only electric

Is absolutely worthless.

Crypto is good for getting rid of dependence upon jews. Period. You don't need a Jewish middleman to establish trust for a transaction. Shills that understand this will say otherwise and do whatever necessary to hide this fact. Banks are done when blockchain spreads. The banking sector obviously isn't going away without a fight. And it's not unreasonable to say that they have infinite resources to use to try and stop this. I find it highly suspicious that mainstream finance says anything about bitcoins at all. Perhaps it is in their interest to shape the public perception of bitcoins as "just an investment instrument" and a poor volatile one at that, goy… This sure seems to be the conclusion.

That being said, won't be long now before any old schmooze can taint bitcoin's honesty if half the users can take it in whichever direction of growth they agree on.

That being said, bitcoins move too slow for the hoi polloi and it won't be until Google or Amazon release a goy-friendly blockchain that it will take off, and at that point you don't want it to take off in the first place.

One thing is for sure, crypto currency is still underground, which makes it cool. There is so much confusion surrounding it which leads to the real opportunity.

i think gnt is good

it even recently had a security vuln revealed
