These are basically the first emails sent before we refined many of the processes inside of them. I can't give away the in-house stuff but I'm pretty sure I can't get in trouble for giving this out.

Definitions
Tradecraft: Skills which one uses to enhance or sustain their job
SOI: Signals operating instructions; your rules to sending traffic/messages. Its sometimes used to describe the method/route one takes to signal control.
Encode/encipher:Algebraic instructions applied to plaintext to transmute it into cryptograms. In the texts it will generally mean enciphered in one time pad.
Decode/decipher: Inverse algebraic instructions applied to cryptograms to reduce it to its plaintext form. Again, mostly OTP traffic.
Actor/performer: A person inside of this operation.
Support/Supporting Roles: Secondaries on a friendly team/pseudo team
Adversary/hostile forces: Blanket term used to describe counter intelligence/police/hostile groups who may interfere with our activities.

This is an app for your phone called Photo Trap. At the core of it, its the same old technique of where you take a
before and after photo of something on your phone and compare. This switches the pictures back and forth for
you at a faster rate, so you can see the differences between the images pretty quickly.

Everyone knows you can use old phones as cameras. They're smaller and use less battery. Not to mention
everyone has the gestallt that its a phone, not a camera, a micro computer, or bait for a trap.
You can also hide these things anywhere. Everyone has old phones they don't use anyways.

Not your standard camera.
Instead of hunching over screens and watching your back all day, just set up a camera to automatically
take pictures or video on its own. Provided there is power, there is play. These apps detect changes, it actually
does the work for you. You access the phone remotely or physically later on to see if the area you were recording
was disturbed. I used a similar tool for my old "battle station" set up when I was doing stupid things online.

Pocket burst encoders and pocket sized ham stations.
For the radio side of the house, I found you can actually use FLDIGI on your phone. It also works as an impromptu
random number generator if you put it on MFSK-16 and drop the squelch. It seems to work with receiving and
sending text, but pictures are a bit of a pain. This works as a great alternative to tablets and laptops where size
and power are major constraints. I can keep my phone charged on an Eton FRX4 all day, can't do that with a tablet.

As for the burst encoder idea.
There are programs that can change the speed at which morse is sent. If you turn the dial as far as it can go and
then some, just have the party on the other end recording. You can play back the audio slowly and decode from there.
Thats actually how the old burst encoders worked. Spy sets the Russians manufactured used a 10 second long signal
that would trip a recording device. This was played at a slower rate and decoded by their equivalent ciphers
groups in their respective groups. A partisan could press the tune key on his radio and then send the burst message
on either a different frequency or the same one depending on SOI.

Hacker tradecraft 101.
Infared can be seen with cellphone cameras. Get a remote, point it at the camera on your smart phone,
start pressing buttons on the remote, the IR LED should glow purple when looking at it on a cellphone camera.
You can do this to discover IR emissions generally associated with IR capable cameras. I don't know what wave
length this detects, probably gen1 night fighting spectrum.

More hacker tradecraft for phones.

Phones as electronic caches.
This is a mix between what the Russians in FBI Ghost Stories and file servers.
Forget the wifi networks on the phone before and after using these. Your phone transmits a beacon to try to
reconnect to past connections. This is partly how Chapman's control got caught. The courier should never touch his
phone, or very rarely touch it. It should only be for the time or for texting.
Do this before you get to the spot
Change the phone's wifi name to something like "Starbucks Office" or something fitting for the area.
Password protect it then launch it.
Options for using.
Drop it somewhere. The phone can be left in a car, put in a above the tiles in a restroom, you get the idea.
You can leave it to die and pick it up then or keep it on a courier who walks into an establishment with
the target. Kids can be used for this one because kids never put down phones. Since phones blend in, and
so do they, you can incorporate kids as either couriers or as the agents to receive.
No tethering abilities?
Use the same apps to send files over existing wifi networks. You can try bluetooth, but it requires both
the courier and the agent to have their phones out at the same time. Plus bluetooth is loud, short ranged,
and obvious to sigint capable adversaries.

If you want to fully mimic a wifi base station, you're going to have to get something like a portable router.
This is only in the event that you want to match the electronic signature, strength, etc of a base station.
You will also have to do all the steps above. You will also need something like a backpack to carry it in.
The upside to this, its less technically intensive. Plug in the power and the courier can go. Some support using
USB keys. The down side is the backpack full of sketchy material. Not to mention, it needs a bigger power supply.

While on the topic of SD and MicroSD cards, this one is not related to phones.

Booting/Boot Loader installations on MicroSD.
You can always install *nix on SD/MicroSD cards. Using an adapter the Microsd card can be used. This allows you
to not only use smaller storage options, but hide them as well. There are 16 gig sd cards going for around
4 dollars cost and 4 dollars shipping. This means you can have a TAILS ready system hidden in about the size
of a dime. You can also put them above nose height for the "porn dogs" and they most likely won't sniff it out.
You can also cross checkpoints and go through airports with these, either on the phone or glued to the bottom
of your foot like the old OSS films show.

The cool part about this, you can put the BOOTLOADER, not the actual OS on it. So put an encrypted file system
on the actual hard drive. The MicroSD has the instructions to load, the drive only has the encrypted
operating system. You can put Windows on there with an encrypted partition on the back, this makes it look like
a Windows machine. Plug in the MicroSD card on its adapter and you now have the Veracrypt, LUKS, etc
trying to access the second encrypted partition. This now allows you to change the way the computer boots.
For example instead of an bootloader that reads data, why not write data? Yes, we're talking about emergency
anti forensics. If the computer is booted without the, it just sits there, maybe the drive makes some distressing
sounds, and it never boots again. If the SD is inserted and you boot from the SD, the drive boots normally.

The very cold boot attack.
Phones with full drive encryption are small, they are powerful, and can be thrown in the freezer. The adversary
boots the device from an external source or uses one of several techniques to dump memory from the device.
This is well known but its also very. under. appriciated. Its easier to use an air canister on laptops and computers,
I know for a fact this works, there were some artifacts in the images and text stored in ram, but it was recoverable.
You're not likely going to be hit with a cold boot attack. For the most part the laptop/computer will be taken from
you when you are logged in and its in a vulnerable state. Phones are only CBA'd because they're small and the payoff
is worth it.

Security vs Convenience,

Gestalt, what is a gestalt?
In Jungian Psychology, a Gestalt is your view of an object. See a wooden block, you probably think its a block of wood, there are no

Electronics in the dark parking lot.
Find a way to dim the brightness on your laptop/tablet. You can spot that from a long distance away. Think of a movie theater for example.
If its too bright for a movie theater, find a way to dim it. If you laptop doesn't support direct monitor dimming, open a command window.
Those are generally pretty dark.

Props and cover stories.
In reference to the ACTOR member who thought he would have been caught by the security guard. You would have because you most likely would
have been too talkative or shown the wrong body language. When the car with the rent-a-cop drove by, you actually did the smart thing.
You did one of the most disarming things ever. You nodded, acted like you belonged there, and acted normally. You didn't match the
preconceived notion of a bad guy in his head. He's looking for people with skateboards, cigarettes, and punk rock shirts.
Just remember the line "smile and wave". Its the easiest thing to do. If ever caught in person, just say "Oh hey, whats up" or "Hey, hows it
going?". Disarm, distract, distance, and some other d word that sounds useful. All in all you want to get him to become disarmed and
get his mind away from the thought of you potentially doing something other than NORP (Normal Ordinary Responsible Person) stuff.

You failed at the part of not having built in the cover needed to be there. A good idea next time you try this is get a manila folder
print off some benign paper work from your office, maybe audit logs or something. Keep it in the folder. Label it accordingly.
Now, when you do this again at a new site, put the manila folder over your laptop, when ready to use the laptop, open the manila folder
and put it on the dash.

Phones, have your phone out and on your shoulder, just talk into it, be it cussing, muttering, lyrics from a random song broke up

doing this you do your security checks. Rear view is used, side mirrors, bend your visor at the right angle so you can look up at it and
see behind you as well.

In the event of observation
Act natural, look up like you're busy. This is a neutral face. Have no facial expression, when you "see" the rent-a-cop, make eye contact,
give a social smile, and nod your head. If you're feeling extra nervous raise your hand and give polite wave like you're recognizing someone.
Don't give a wave like you're beckoning him over. Just a polite social wave. This is fingers curled some, index and middle finger extended
mostly. Thumb out somewhat. Pull it down after a second. Its simple

That rent-a-cop is going to feel going, someone just noticed him and didn't see him as a hippie hater or what not. He won't bother you.

Parallels between hackers and the ACTOR
There are many similarities and some differences between us and them. Let us take a surface look and point them out. Due note, I may use some
strong language here, but keep reading so I can explain it.

Demonization/Sexualization
In modern media both hackers and ACTORs alike are being demonized, the malitia and those who can feel a change coming are seen as cooks
and crazy. Things like SOPA, CISPA, NSA going after Tor targeting hackers, and things like leftist government targeting the prepared and
patriotic by infiltrating militias and preparedness groups. But in television and "artistic media" on the other hand represent hackers
and ACTORs are deemed as chic, sexy, and cool. You need to look no further than the latest shows to see the hacker who does the right
thing, or the latest disaster show where those who are prepared can MacGyver their way to success. ACTORs are also shown in shows like
The Americans as "Kick ass" spies who can yet again do anything and MacGyver their way to success.

Reality of the two and based on personal experience
Hackers and ACTORs live boring and stressful lives. Back when I was in the "scene", I could get a list of hashes. I wouldn't know where it
was from, it was better that way as well. All I needed to know was the method of hashing and I could get to work on cracking the hashes.
I would then WAIT for minutes, hours, even a few days. If it couldn't get cracked nothing happened. It was mostly boring work, moving scan
logs, reading, playing with scripts, writing exploits etc. It was boring, slow, tedious. The monotony was only broken up by sporadic
bouts of activity. We cracked the admin pass, we found another way in, we attacked through another channel the target, etc. Maybe in group
fighting, but it was boring and I was always on edge, always formatting, sanatizing, hiding, drives, usb keys, and paper with additives
for making my passwords. The same is probably true for ACTORs. Do not kid yourself. I developed a bit of an ulcer at the age of 17.
Its taxing on the mind. You won't have a crisis of conscious until the end of it, but you will have an over active mind, being paranoid.
Its not good on the soul and its not for the faint of heart.

Security
The hackers and ACTORs are supposed to not only be ninjas and fascist killing bad asses, but they are supposed to be 2 steps ahead of the
police forces. Both modern and classical "partisans" are also supposed to get away with either dropping grenades on the enemy or installing
bugging devices with ease. "Tor" being brought up on television by the "all knowing nerd" trope, with his knowledge of gore websites,
human trafficking, and drugs.

Reality
Hackers and ACTORs alike need all the classy buzz words like Persec, Opsec, Transec, etc. Not only do hackers and ACTORs need to
protect create fake and hide real identities, they have to run the gambit as well. Take a good look at the failures of the "four
horsemen of the crypto-pocalypse", as its stated on wikipedia "drug-dealers, money-launderers, terrorists, and pedophiles" for a
good idea not to do. They all have different goals but similar needs. And these are who you study. Want to see how to do a hand to
hand dead drop? Watch how a street corner moves drugs and how hand to hands are done during the sale. Want to see how you run an
anonymous market for moving "less than legal" or "legally gray" devices? Read or browse an online market, or investigate the
differences between Evo and Agora. At the end of it, when life looks good and when you feel that nothing is going wrong, its time to
change protocols, names, etc. Just like a surveillance team, you change it/disband it after a while. Its not because it gets bad, but
because it has been seen. This is why your youngest "Liberal Arts Degrees" are handling the most pressing central intelligence work.
Nobody knows them, nobody has seen them, nobody has a dossier on them. This is who you want to be.

The whole point of clandestine works is NOT GETTING DETECTED. That's the whole point. This is not about direct action teams. Those on DA are
expendable anyways.

Now to the meat of the topic of clandestinity and networking (is that even a word?)
Firstly, groups need to have privacy and that fun word, compartmentalization. As fun as it is to know what is exactly going on, for the sake
of your own survival don't ask. Secrets are only fun if you get to tell them. Do you really need to know who knows who? Because once you open
the door of information, it doesn't close. You can't be incriminated for what you don't know (generally) so why do you need to know who's
moving money to fund your unit? Why do you need to know? Curiosity killed the cat, it also fed the cats who busted the rest of the cell.
Not everyone is Francis Gary Powers.

Secondly, relationships cross group can be detrimental. For example. If group A and group B are in contact. Group A has better Opsec but has
a CW(covert witness), the CW can compromise those around him and thats it. He can maybe compromise the cut out as well. But if group B has
lower Opsec, the CW and relay this to the security forces. Now Group A has been minimally compromised but group B which is in bed with group A
is under observation. This gives the game away because you can track group B's couriers and interactions with group A. Doing this you destroy
both groups.

Cut outs are great. They can be used one time or several times, you can pass benign information through them to keep them busy and then pass the
one true message through them without much of a problem. If all they do is handle mail, they might snoop the first few messages, but then they
will stop. Seeing as they are benign, they won't press further, later on you can send a letter or two with open codes and it will look like
routine messages. Use them to communicate between groups to prevent compromise.

Electronics are actually much of a hindrance. You may think the spooks has many opportunities to commune today; that's true they do. They have many
ways to communicate, but the problem is most of it is tied to real identities. So get used to using fake ones or get used to sending few messages.
You have to be creative but you can always do correlation and timing attacks. No matter what you do, the source of the transmitter/computer
must not be discovered. Use frequencies with skip zones. Use internet communications that are unorthodox.

Transportation. Use a mix of walking, public transportation, taxis, and rides from other people. Tails are good on dogs, not on you. Most surveilance will be be a 1-8 car operation, sometimes with air assets.

The cars will drive down a side road and will switch off when the "control" tells them to. They will drive near parallel to you, come to a side street and pull in behind you while the guy who was previously behind you "eyeball" peels off to a side street.

Stealing cars
I don't recommend this, all the new ones have GPS or have noisy systems. If you really have to steal a car, go for an old one. If you have to steal a new one, most of the security shit is linked to the FOB which has an RFID like chip in it that uses a pseudo random key to say "yea I'm legit" too much hassel for what its worth, you can still disable the alarm system by going from the battery to where its located. Snip the wires, cut the wires for the rear lights which will blink and the front lights for which will blink. TBH its better to nigger it steal the keys off a drunk at a party.

Moving from point to point with no overlap.
Define the points, check the routes of travel. Use the one with the least cameras.
Cellphones must be off. Burners as well. Preferably, leave your actual phone at home, on, on a charger, and have a palylist of youtube going, empty a bottle of booze into the sink in case the police arrest you later. (this gives you cover of a lonely man child watching youtube and drinking his sorrows away)

The car should be a rental or a taxi. Take a greyhound if you must.

As for burner money, use the card after its been activated several months in advance, preferably 6 months or more. This prevents things like financial logs and video surveilance from coming back and biting you in the ass. Use cash when you can. CASH SHOULD NEVER BE USED AT A HOTEL ESPECIALLY TOURIST ONES. Use a giftcard or a green dot signed in another name. Give prepaid cards with a little money left on them to the homeless to further fuck up the trail for counter intelligence people.

Hides are spots where snipers take up position on their targets to shoot from.
Hides are generally chosen for their distance and their ability to be sanitized.
You will sanitize all hides going in and going out, even if this means starting a fire in the building.

Choose a spot 300-800 meters away. Based boom crack's your golden spot is 300-600 yards off. They can't tell how far away you are exactly based on sound, the best deterrent against you in this case is shot spotter. These are tower type systems large antennas with a ball and probe on the end. They are generally very exposed and next to command vehicles. Should the opportunity arise and you need to target one, the personnel around it are most likely commanders or very important ISTAR (intelligence, surveillance, targeting, and reconnaissance) peeps.

Your best rounds will be
22/22-250 for 200 or less meters
556 for 400 or less
762x39 400 or less
762x51 for 750 or less
338 is too costly and too few people use it, don't use it, it draws the ire of financial intelligence people too quickly.

Selecting a hide
Choose one that does not have the best angle but still gives the sun behind you.
Choose one that is not the tallest. Everyone expects snipers to be on the tallest building.
Shoot deep in the room with sheets behind you. Do not keep only one set of windows open, open several, or crack the window open and use some basic algebra to fire through the crack/loop hole. If you miss your first two or three shots, just clean up and leave.

I don't think they make 30-06 in lever action. A bullet for lever action has to be pretty blunt, so the trajectory is not that flat. A 30-06 is definitely a more powerful and versatile round. That is what Carlos Hathcock was shooting back in Vietnam.

The Marlin 30-30 rifles interest me because they are so popular on the East Coast, so they are always available and nobody thinks twice about them, plus they potentially can be shot pretty fast.

I don't know if Mosins have the same speed potential (never shot one), plus they are kind of trendy as a survivalist gun. There might be some value in just looking like a regular hunter who has dad's 30-30.

It was a mixed bag. There was a ton of faggotry because they couldn't be bothered (like most PD's) to train their agents to a higher standard and make sure they could handle their issued equipment. Out of this faggotry we got 10mm, .40 S&W, and .357SIG (among some others I think). 10mm was the first but it proved to be too much for them to handle, so they tried .40 S&W which was also too much for them to handle. .357 was developed for them but never adopted by them partly because it came about when 9mm was being developed to hold up to higher pressures (I use it though because I like it and shoot very well with it, better than 9mm for some reason). Now FBI and most PD's are in the process of swapping to 9mm because they can't handle anything bigger than that.

I'm sure I got something wrong. I'm not an expert just someone who reads a fair bit.

You're correct except that 10mm already existed and was just adopted by them. .357 sig is just a round that was based on .40 S&W and is used by some cops, it wasn't developed for the FBI, it's just an attempt to mimic .357 Magnum in a pistol. .40 S&W was developed specifically for the FBI who had trouble firing the powerful 10mm. You can actually convert most .40 S&W pistols to .357 sig by simply changing the barrel.

FBI did swap back to 9mm because they've basically admitted they can't shoot for shit and need the higher ammo capacity. A more recent round that was developed by NATO as a lighter version of 9mm is the FN 5.7x28mm. They've already tried to ban it because it's supposedly capable of penetrating level III armor.

Another important piece of info: 9mm shoots accurate up to 50 meters (or 54 yards) from a Beretta M9 and up to 200 meters (218 yards) from an H&K MP5 or Uzi. Both .40 S&W and .45 ACP reach only half of that. 10mm does outperform 9mm in this aspect with the biggest benefit that it drifts less in the wind due to the heavier weight.

The FN Five-seven pistol (5.7mm) can reportedly shoot accurate up to 100 meters (or 109 yards) but it's ugly dammit. Since they already tried banning it there's not many manufacturers that will touch the caliber. Oh and

Because it's mostly used to shoot varmint. The only sniper use for it is that it causes less ricochet and excessive penetration (think of a person standing behind the person you're shooting at) But I think you can also use a .308 hollow point for that.

The main thing about sniping comes down to the stopping power meme again. Since you're shooting at someone from a long distance and probably won't be able to see him once he goes into hiding you want that damage to be as big as possible. You can't expect to be able to fire multiple shots at your target. So instead of just shooting him in the arm with a .308 it's better to shoot his arm off with a .50 BMG.

There's tactics to wound enemy soldiers in an attempt to draw more enemy soldiers though. The Russians argued that this is the best way to win a war since you're wearing out the enemy a lot more than just shooting one of them and running away. But if you want a confirmed kill from a long distance you can see why stopping power makes sense. .300 winchester is a good cheap alternative for this kind of sniping cartridge.

Also, good info on the rounds. .357SIG can also be summarized as a .40 necked down to a 9mm. For reloading purposes you can safely use 9mm projectiles in a .357SIG case as the bullets are the same.

When a squad of let's say military soldiers are told to guard some place and then a sniper shoots one of them in the gut, or let's say stomach, he'll be immobilized. If the shot avoided all major arteries the guy won't bleed out in minutes either. He'll sit there, wounded, in the middle of the street for hours. He'll beg his guys to come to him, save him and he'll wince of pain. This will utterly destroy his squad's morale. His friends will see their brother in arms slowly die, unable to rescue him because of fear of dying. It's highly unlikely they are all psychopaths, so this will have an impact on them at least. They won't be able to reclaim him, because snipers are trained to stay days in one spot at a time. His squad will have to stay hidden until sniper is downed, because retreating could cause more casualties. Retrieving the wounded guy would certainly cause more casualties and, depending on the shot, the guy will die anyway. So here you have this situation, where the guy that's now breathing dead corpse demoralizes his squaddies and breaks them psychologically. His squaddies might be persuaded to do irrational decisions like saving him or taking potshots at the sniper. His squaddies might undergo some sort of involutary reflection about life, leading them to stay exposed for a second too long. In worst case scenario, the guy gets rescued, he'll probably have to be dealt with medically. That costs a lot more than sending a bodybag home. Wounding enemy soldiers is much more efficient in terms of psychological warfare and economic warfare than shooting them clean through the head. It might even contribute to the enemy losing the fight at home, when enough mauled veterans get disillusioned and spread their disillusionment on the citizens.

This tactic is indeed very sound. Of course, it doesn't have to be a sniper on the other side.

This has been used by every sniper on every side in every war so far. It helps thin the herd by drawing out more soldiers to shoot. It is great for pinning soldiers down while other soldiers move in to do the job. In a strictly military sense it is indeed very sound.

There is a pistol range that can accommodate about a dozen people and the rifle range goes out to at least 150yds and has several shooting benches and various distances. There is a nice vault toilet at the range.

The campsite is right down the same road as the range, you just turn off a mile or two earlier, it's fairly small but cozy and there is a creek that runs through it that does have fish.

I went to the one last year also in MO. There's this guy named Russ or Rusty or something. He's a fat old fudd that likes going on Alex Jones tier rants about globalists/communists. To get this thread going again, if you already have the basics (food, water, weapons, decent amount of ammo, cleaning supplies, etc), some things to keep in mind. You never have enough, and don't forget to prep the "boring stuff". But one thing I recommend everyone here to do if they can at all is to join a local Search and Rescue team. Not only will you learn various methods of various things, such as packing, searching, medical treatment and such, you will also have made a solid group of people you can fall back to and rely on in a SHTF scenario and you won't be all alone (of course, being alone is a personal preference).
