I saw it. It was unremarkable in all respects and inferior to the original, which wasn't all that great to start with.
The inherent problem is that aside from his obvious need to not be a beast anymore, the Beast had no reason to love Belle. In the fairy tale and to some extent the cartoon, Beauty is so damned nice and sweet that the Beast can't help it. In this, she's stronk independent womyn and while not mean to him, she's adversarial. Beast needs her, she doesn't need him.
