Self improvement general

ITT: We discuss ways to become a white man that any (((individual))) would fear: wise and fit.
Here is my story: i am lazy. Not physically lazy (i work out a lot and i look pretty ripped) but rather mentally lazy. I literally can't get myself around to do anything that requires a smallest dose of critical thinking. I have attention span of a 6 year old. That is why i mostly sit in front of my computer and play vidya. I literally can't do anything else. Reading a book or an article for longer than 5 minutes proves out to be truly a herculean task. I also can't dig in for information because i get bored too quickly. How do i combat this? Does anyone here have same issue?

Your brain is like a muscle in the sense that if you work it out, it's function will improve, whereas if you pump it full of vidya and other drivel, it will atrophy.

You have allowed yourself to reach this point, and you must discipline yourself. Normally, when anons ask for self-improvement tips, I hand them a list of books which will certainly nurture a dedication to self-improvement first and foremost among many other positive traits, but you are too far gone for reading 30 genius level books at this stage.

Maybe you're just unintelligent, in which case- go lift and train for DOTR. Everyone has their place, purpose, and value to civilization. However, in the case that you aren't unintelligent, but rather have crippled your own attention span by consuming Jewish media too much, you have to work your brain out.

How you do this, I leave up to you. You speak of a Herculean task as if that's something to be avoided, or something impossible. A Herculean task is what brings out the Hercules in all of us. Do you want to be a hero? Because we need heroes right now, not people who can't read for 5 minutes.

Seriously user, for your own sake and all of ours- you just have to work your brain out. Exercise it. If you had never done a push-up in your life, do you think you could crank out 20 with no difficulty? Your brain is the same. Start small, but stay disciplined, and always read more and higher quality material.

If you smoke weed or drink inordinate amounts of coffee, cut that shit out for a couple days and see how your attention span changes. Pic related is cliche as fuck but it's the truth.

You might just be dumb though. I don't mean that vindictively, and I encourage you to seek the warrior-poet of advanced intelligence and physique, but not everyone is capable of that, and if you aren't, you have to find what you ARE good at, and excel. Hope you read all this.

Just train your brain, you say you mostly sit in front of the computer? Then lucky you, there are a shit ton of people without that resource. You can search anything you want from brain exercises to ebin Trump pepes.

Now, Im all for self improvement but we've had so many threads about this, all I can say is what the Romans said: "Mens sana in corpore sano" which basically means that you will have a healthy mind if you have a healthy body.

This might help you

Requesting list of books

Why don't you play brain teaser games then? On Mint we have one in the repo called gbrainy and it's pretty fun. I won't pretend I do it often however, but I should.

I would say your problem could be fixed with some mindfulness meditation.

Give this a whirl: soundcloud.com/samharrisorg/mindfulness-meditation-9

You're misinterpreting the axiom to negative effect. It isn't that user will magically have a healthy mind if he has a healthy body. In order to achieve that, you have to train both functions. The wisdom of the axiom comes in affirming that a healthy mind in a healthy body is the pinnacle for which we should strive, not that one follows the other as a matter course. It's honestly absurd to suggest that.

Thanks for the archive link though

Pic related, also >>>/pdfs/ has a wealth of material and would have more if we all used it

How long until the kike mods delete this one too? Fuck you imkampfy you goon piece of shit

This is a meme book. Don't buy it. Jack Donovan is also real fag, as in he likes men. Not exactly a standard bearer.

If you were to dig deeper into history philosophy etc you would be excited by the higher level knowledge it brings, and you would want more. By sitting in front of a screen all day you are wasting your life because you are not advancing yourself. You should always seek to better your position in life, and if you arent doing that you are wasting your life.

Get started on electronics and embedded development. Try to think of a task in daily life that would be so much better if automated, anything, even opening and closing doors/windows or adding self-flushing capability to a toilet, or making 6 foot long electrical sparks (pic related) then read up what you need, read up the theory, the equations, then buy prototyping gear and get tinkering, once you finish it, try to do perhaps make the sparks play music (yes, it is possible,) then try getting the longest possible sparks out of the smallest size, etc, there is always something to add/optimize in a system. If you have a knack for it you could spend days on end doing it without even noticing the time.

Beware though, it's a black hole for the worthless money you get for being a good goy.

Do you have an online bookstore where I could buy these books cheap ? I really don't like pdfs, for some reason I can't really focus on them.

I know it was somewhat of a generic piece, but this brought out some confidence in me.

I have read all of this. I must say that i do not consider myself dumb although it may be just a distorted self perception. I've taken official mensa-provided iq test several years ago and results were nothing to be ashamed of. I do however drink loads of coffee and alkohol. I neither smoke nor watch television or get my knowledge from the mainstream. Perhaps you are right about the self discipline thing. I will think of solution (when i get around to it).

Daily reminder to contribute to >>>/polarchive/439

It's an okay babby's first redpill-tier book. It doesn't provide anything substantial, certainly not compared to other works on that list, but it can get someone at least thinking in the right frame. I didn't buy it either, though, of course.

mega(dot)nz/#F!B4dB2SzQ!h_pMC30v2a_y31iD0dy0sg Contains perhaps hundreds of Holla Forums books

Start drinking urine. Nectar of THE GODS. DESTROYS LAZINESS.

Then maybe get on some subliminals, another easy route of self-improvement.

Human urine controls bile in the blood, destroys worms, cleans intestine,
control cough & calms the nerves. It is sharp in taste, destroy laziness & is an antidote to positions.

-Yoga Ratnakar [Mutrashtakam V. II ]

If urine is so healthy why does the body expels it as waste?

this thread will also get deleted

Hm, who would not want us to improve ourselves?

He didnt delete the classical music thread, he bumplocked it. We made a stink and it was unbumplocked by moonman. The Jew digging thread was just mudflinging at Trump. I was upset at the other motivational thread getting deleted.

As nice as these book lists are, I think it would be more useful to have graphics which present books in a more ordered way, rather than having just a jumble of works of different levels and subjects together in such a way that it's hard to know where to start.

I'll work on some and put them up itt if it doesn't get deleted

Not waste but extra. It's what you are floating in for 9 months as amniotic fluid. BECOME REBORN!

The library dummy

Yes, could you tell me where your 'Rahowa' section is please? Book stores are filled with used harry potters, no name authors, and books with men on them to stimulate geriatric pussies.

They don't sell American/Foreign books where I live you triple nigger, also this .

Just use libgen.io

you fags don't even try anymore

I'm a bit of a hypocrite offering this advice, as I have difficulty doing it myself, but abstain from the Internet periodically. The ADD like you're describing are pretty common among anyone who is constantly glued to technology. The constant bombardment of Information or stimulus makes it hard to focus on any one thing for an extended period because we're constantly shifting our attention. Would it be hard to read if all you had access to was a single book? Probably not, you would have nothing else to shift your attention to and reading the book would be easy. It's terribly ironic really, we have access to more information that people of any other period of history, yet it becomes difficult to focus on any one given thing because there are so many options.

also try to limit or abstain from porn yes, 2d fags, it's porn. I've found that my mind is much clearer when I do this. The underlying mechanism is that porn is a super stimulus that releases a metric fuckton of dopamine, thus decreasing the total dopamine present in your brain and downregulating the receptors I know it's far more complicated than this.

Kind of a quick fix, but green tea also helps massively with concentration and is a good way to decrease your total caffine intake if you are still drinking the beany Jew. The L-theanine makes the caffine buzz far less jittery and makes concentration a lot easier.

...

Proofread your posts, kids

I thought you meant you didn't like pdfs as opposed to epubs

Look at the second-hand books on amazon

I'll check.

Cold showers, no fap, and daily pushups.

This is the big 3 foundation for me personally. The first 2 for training yourself to get used to discomfort, and the pushups because it's such a simple exercise which takes no time or equipment. Its also very easy to bring up the difficulty with different variations (e.g diamond pushups)

All 3 of these are a continuing motivation, and as they become a natural habit, I can add one or two more.

It's probably obvious, but that's the key. Just make one small change in your lifestyle until it becomes second-nature, and then either add another habit or go the next level with the habit. Repeat. Jeb is right on this one. Slow and steady wins the race.

Though it will start slow, there are two things to keep in mind:

Those are the 3 that I started with (in that order), but it doesn't matter much what you start with, so long as it's a positive habit that doesn't ask too much of you. You could replace porn abstainence with soda abstainence for example, or replace the pushups with another bodyweight exercise or some light cardio.

Just make sure you keep them varied between mental, physical, social etc. And even within those categories, be sure to keep the subcategories balanced. Increase cardio as well as lifting. Get better socialising with family, not just girls. Read about the arts as well as the sciences.

I know a lot of this advice might seem obvious, but it needs repeating because people keep failing on these basic principles:

Do it.

RIGHT WING HACKER SQUAD

It's true that once you begin to cycle your own water of auspiciousness that all things come easily and without effort.

Thank you for substancial advice however the biggest problem is an utter lack of motivation from my side. Whenever i start something i simply lack willpower to continue it. I also take cold showers every now and then. I haven't noticed any improvement.

...

Currently doing this but planning on replacing the pushups with actual lifting.

And I'm learning programming right now.

I'm 22 and squandered a lot of time from age 18 to now but I don't feel like it is to late yet.

What motivates me most is that I know that age difference isn't too much of a problem for most women and that I'll be able to get a good and loyal wife as long as I increase my sexual market value further. Whether I'll get someone I want to stay with at 25 or 30 doesn't really matter to me.
Right now my choices are either someone that looks good but is mentally fucked or someone who is genetic garbage but nice. I don't want that so I'll keep working until those are not my only options anymore.

Start with something small, like doing a set of push-ups when you wake up every morning. The first 3 weeks of establishing a habit are always a pain in the ass, but it become pretty easy afterwards. Also, motivation is bullshit, discipline is doing a thing Regaurdless of how you feel about it.

I would greatly appreciate having those as well, these are just what I've been able to find.

I'm putting together a curriculum for a Trad/NS course, and depending on the quality of your work and your permission, I might like to include what you come up with. It would make it much easier to figure out what order to assign students.

If you, or anyone else, have suggestions, I'll take them too. Probably going to make my own thread for that in a couple months after I've gotten more content prepared

You're just going to have to get used to it, I'm afraid. It wasn't easy for me to accept either, but the amount of information available to you in digital format literally exceeds what you could ever consume in one lifetime, even limiting that content to a high standard of quality. By not reading pdfs, you shut yourself off to a vast majority of knowledge in the world.

I personally import pdfs into the kindle app and use f.lux to dim the blue light. It makes it easier, but as with everything, it takes practice.

user speaks truth, seconded.

Also truth.

There isn't a book or pill that will fix that. You just have to do it, user. Motivation will come second, discipline must come first… as I see already told you

These threads give me great hope for the White race, I only wish all Holla Forumslacks were on this path.

what programming language?

requesting professor pol meme

Learning python with "Learn Python the Hard Way" right now.

I'm not sure what I'll do after that. I think I'll look into open source projects that might interest me and learn other languages according to what I might need there.

OP i think you've got a kind of information overload from the net.

You're so used to receiving stimulation in short sharp bursts that you are now unable to concentrate on 1 thing for a long period of time.

Try turning off your computer for a day. You''l feel lost, alone, purposeless, restless. Your energy will redirect itself along more constructive channels… but you have to remember to direct properly: read a good book, find a woman, get a job, create friendships.

Consider getting rid of your computer altogether. It may be for the better.

it would be much better if you were to look at python documentation online
with these "learn" books you get only basics of basics, whilst in documentation you get all the modules that you could use if you even wished upon creating any kind of sofware

or just do 30 minute thoughtful meditation session a day

I don't think I'm able to learn it from scratch nor would I know how to go about it. This book/guide makes you use python documentaion though and in general offers little handholding.

What's the point if i'm a manlet.

What does Holla Forums think of Convict Conditioning?

Books will not teach you how to live life. You might learn one thing or another, which can be useful later on, but the effect of self-improvement books is vastly overrated.

Save 10% of everything you make and pay yourself first, you will build up a noce nest egg in no time.

Could also be that you have ADHD (like I do)
This basically means that your frontal lobe is underdeveloped and your central lobe a bit over developed. The frontal lobe is responsible for motivation, long term planning, attentional control, inhibitory control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility.
Also you have less receptors for Dopamine. Dopamine is the stuff that makes you motivated to do anything and also important for the reward centre of your brain. Because of less receptors ADHD people often crave instant dopamine rewards. For example: playing video games (game loop gives you instant rewards), Sport or drugs. Also not to forget there are two kinds of ADHD. One with hyperactivity and one without and mix formes.
If you want to understand more about the biological background adhdandyou.com/hcp/neurobehavioral-disorder.aspx
Many people say ADHD is made up but those are the same people who buy filter from Alex Jones. Medical studies have very well shown the existance of ADHD.

Now to medication. I know alot of people who say people are drugging their kids up with dangerous amphetamines or what not. My mother thought the same when I was 6 and I grew up without meds and i had huge difficulties in school and in social life for that reason (no motivation, no attentionspan and no planning ahead for social relationships and always just going around seeking instant dopamine rewards). Im on meds now for 2 years after I did a little research into the way the stuff works. What it does is basically forces the dopamine in your brain to linger longer than normal near your receptors so they can take in more than usual. Thats it. (If you have ADHD) you will just have normal dopamine intake levels just like everyone else.
And to be honest without them I would probably still live at my moms house and play video games all day. I seriously had been living in a fog all my life. In the last 2 years I started to find the motivation to get fit, plan ahead for my damn studies and get a drivers licence (car comes soon). And I'm currently dating a girl for the first time in like six years.

So I would advice you to go to some ADHD website and look if the symptoms apply to you. If they do go to a jew doc and they will do an attention test with you (computer program where you have to respond to signals over the period of 3h). And then you can get meds.

BUT don't think just medication will fix anything. It will just give you NORMAL dopamine levels. It will just give you a normal stimulated brain - thats it. It's still UP TO YOU to becone an ubermensch. If you don't suspect to have it just disregard my post and get a grip

And to the people who want to imply this is all jew lies. I would like to disagree: It's more likely that something in the modern world is causinbg alot of children to grow up with structural changes in their frontal lobes and we just dont know what it is. This has nothing to do with freudian or jew psycho analysis. This is bio-chemistry. Whether this structural difference in brains is nature or nurture is debateable but either way people do end up having this inbalance in their frontal and central brains.

there's a place for everyone on this Earth
if there isn't, make one for yourself

Friendly reminder that those of you who don't train martial arts are autistically setting themselves up to get surrounded and rekt by packs of wild nogs during the race war.

Lifting is fine for impressing bitches, but for actual survival you'll need to at least know how to throw a punch properly.

Other benefits include

you shills don't even fucking try anymore

p.s. you can beat adhd just by nutting up, working out, and getting the motivation to improve by yourself, you don't need drugs to do it

The best thing about martial arts is footwork , you need to actually be able to move and mantain a good stance otherwise you are fucked in any situation were you are outnumbered

I took ((adderall)) for a few years in college and it helped a lot with studying and the feelings of clarity were nice, but the side effects are just too much after a while. I haven't taken it in years now since it was really starting to mess with my health. It did help learn some focus habits and I can get into almost as good of a focus now when I try to. There's nothing worse than getting sidetracked on adderall since you will get lost in hours of pointless shit if you don't have good discipline to begin with. Honestly it's not worth it.

How do people do this shit? It feels awful in the end

t. nigger with no agency

What can be used as a replacement for a boxing bag? Can't afford boxing bag because lol poorfag.

Leftists

First and foremost, don't do that again. It takes the same type of discipline that it takes to say no to a drug (or any other degenerate materialist desire).

I went through the same thing though. Meaningless sex left me feeling more hollowed out than any other form of degeneracy I took part in. So I just had to say no, and I did. It wasn't very fun, and the females were usually pretty pissed about it, but as is stated many times throughout this thread:

DISCIPLINE

I put youtube podcasts on in the background while I do chores(laundry, cleaning my floor etc) or stretching/light workouts. This helps me at least have a small modicum of intelligent conversation in my life while I start my morning. Look for things that interest you, there are so many podcasts you can put on and just absorb.

On the subject of podcasts/audiobooks

Start listening to them at 2x speed

You'll get used to it very quickly and it's a tiny thing that has a big time-saving effect.

a nigger doesn't feel regret afterwards though unless she winds up pregnant

Reminder to check out >>>/improve/

It's pretty slow so could do with more posters. It's not specifically Holla Forums related, but I've not seen it promote any degenerate "improvement" (such as picking up sluts).

Its not my board before I get called a shill, I just figure its better for everyone if it grows.

I personally personally enjoyed the speeches of Earl Nightingale. Even now, I am listening to one of his speeches while working for my summer part time job.

I can second this.

/improve/ is the only other board on Holla Forums I sometimes visit.

Boredom is a lie. Meditate on this.

Thanks for this

Something I've noticed, is that being plugged into the computer or vidya all day, you're draining you creative power. You should, during the day turn all that off and do our own thinking and such.

Also, probably the surprisingly least difficult of the two is working out.

All of the steps for success are available to you completely. In order to be physically fit, you simply eat lots of protein, lift heavy weights with intensity, and engage in regular cardio. The steps to becoming rich are extensively detailed in books such as Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, etc.
The steps to being persuasive, gaining influence, being successful with women, etc. are extensively detailed in Persuasion by Robert Caldini .
All of the information you ever need to be successful is available within minutes on the internet, what really matters is determination, discipline, and motivation, people simply cannot be arsed to stick with a goal or a plan long enough to yield results, or their time preferences are so short that if they don't see results in the short term the give up. What you really need is discipline, and spiritual actualization, each action in and of itself seems insignificant but when you contextualize fitness, business acumen, social success, etc. as a means to secure a future for white children and civilization, you have the drive to see all these things through. You must find one goal, one ideal, etc. that supercedes everything else in life and strive for it endlessly, the key is discipline and motivation, the specifics are all available if you merely search them. What you really suffer from is spiritual deficiency.

Just go to an MMA gym, they have plenty of those there and sparring partners too.

Pic related.

Your welcome. Another good motivational speaker would be Zig Ziglar.

Earl, actually did a summary of this book once. I haven't read it, but I do plan on reading it one day, after I finish other books in my backlog.

not again

yes, we should stop trying to do the most important, and really only, thing we can do

I can't afford any gym for shit.

There are always alternatives. This is what I am using. All you have to know is that if you eat properly and do exercises you will loose fat and gain muscles.

I asked about an alternative to a boxing sack though. Is there any? Should I just put sea sand in a bag and hit it? What are my options?

That's exactly what my father did.

I haven't read Think and Grow Rich, but Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude (also by Napoleon Hill) was good.

Heard sea sand bags fuck your hands' shit up. Was your father satisfied by only sand?

beautifully said user.

He did karate in his youth up until the brown belt, which is before the black belt. He, as well as my uncle did fucked up shit in their youth like fighting other kids with stones, climbing on houses, cutting down the neighbor's tree out of revenge. Hitting sand bags was nothing to him. However, when I was 8 or so he made a water bag, saying that this was perfect for me. He said this: if you can't hit sand then you start hitting water, when that's too soft, you hit sand, and when that is too soft you can hit pebbles. I don't know what you mean by fucked up hands, but if you hit stuff daily, you won't have soft skin no matter what gloves you wear or what lotion you use.

Alright I get it, seems good. Where should I put water into? I wager plastic bags will get torn easily.

Just google it. I recommend searching in your native language. They might even tell you from which local store to buy the stuff.

pls respond

Shilling for my thread I would appreciate your feedback

What the fuck is convict conditioning?

A book on bodyweight training. It's called like that because convicts (people in prison) can benefit from it.

Just watch the vid.

I have a friend who currently does 2,000 push ups per day, every day.
Excuses are the refuge of the weak.

How long does it take him to do all 2000? Does he do it all at one time or does he do a few hundred throughout the day?

How do I stop being such a betafaggot? It's just not my personality to take place, be loud, cocky and charismatic. I've always been a quiet, introverted nerd. Is it even possible to fix it? You'd have to change your entire personality.

Lifting, dressing better, having a social life yabba yabba, I already do all of that and it doesn't help.

...

This. Fucking hell this makes me feel like shit unlike anything other.

Defeat your limiting beliefs.

A limiting belief is a principle which you hold to be true, and based on its truth, things must be a certain way.

And so on. These beliefs impose limits on the identity level. They are truths inherent to your very being. There is no chance of changing them, for they are writ as unchangeably upon your being as are words upon a monolith.

Personal history is significant, too. Rather than framing your past in a manner that enables self-determination in the future, you say you've always been one way. How can one change? It'd be faking, and you wouldn't be true to yourself!

But you know how you're living and self-idealizing isn't your "true self." You want to change and the prospect of continuing unaltered is a painful one.

Stop thinking these limiting beliefs. It is hard to stop running a script, especially when its concern is your identity, but it can be done. Notice the thoughts and snuff them out with an anchor: a repeated phrase or action.

==No.== (this is my anchor, and I wave my hand disapprovingly to "sweep away the thought")

Just sweep away the thoughts and move on. Don't work at it, just do it. Do this for however long you want until the feelings and around that topic aren't as intense.

Then start planting affirming thoughts.

I am able to attract a woman. I have these qualities, skills, attributes, and qualities that make me attractive… list them off. Doesn't matter if you don't have many. You have at least one.

Now, and critically, you must accompany this mental activity with physical activity. Have a goal you're working towards. Try your put yourself in situations where you can talk to women and make friends. Keep thinking affirming thoughts, dismiss the limiting beliefs, and this will become more comfortable.

This art isn't just for women. It works for every aspect of your life. It's easier to understand than use, and God knows I'm talking to myself in this post just as much as to you.

Good luck.

You're probably young. At least that's what it was for me. Although you could end up socially retarded if you aren't out in public much.

1 hour and a half, he does them all at once in sets of 60.
He started out with 90 per day in 3 sets.
He gradually progressed over 2-3 years.

In everything you do, strive for greatness. It is hard to summon the requisite will at times, but with practice, it becomes easier.

Have you looked at pomodoro technique. It's kind of useful to get past the anxiety of committing time to doing something. You're never more than 25 minutes away from having a quick break and being able to get a snack or a drink or walk around and make sure your house hasn't descended into chaos or whatever. It's a pretty good way of getting past that mental barrier of "now I'm gonna do some work". On my phone I use an app called goodtime to help with it. Can basically do work indefinitely if I have to.

Does anyone have any tips for improving your attitude? The best I've been able to come up with myself is to remind myself that I have a roof over my head and I don't need to worry about where my next meal comes from. I keep repeating this to myself but it feels cynical because at the same time I'm thinking to myself, "Well of course I have a home, food, clothes, car, job etc. I'd be a piece of shit if I didn't. Those are the bare minimum things any man should have obtained."

If he's spending 1.5hrs/day doing pushups, is he also doing other exercises or is that it? Is there any noticeable muscle increase doing that? I've been told by a few fitness trainers (who I don't trust) that you can get strong from body exercises but you'll never get "big"

You should be looking at bigger problems since you have all that. Humans weren't meant to be satisfied so it would always feel wrong. Don't look away from problems that seem bigger than yourself. Remember that the bigger the problems that exist, the bigger the heroes we are for facing them.

Yeah, but despite having "all that" I feel pretty meh about my life. I'm not depressed or anything. I think my attitude just sucks. Hence why I'm trying to improve that. I can't be the only one out there who feels this way. Has anyone else found found a way to turn your attitude around and become contented with what they have? But yeah, you're right – human's weren't meant to be satisfied. But I refuse to believe that life is just one eternal quest for satisfaction. Sounds like hedonism to me.

Ofc they would say that.
They would be unemployed if everyone did 1000+ pushups a day at home by themselves.

He is fucking huge.
His biceps isnt really big but his triceps is big enough that his arm is the biggest amongst us, even bigger than mine (been going to the gym 2 years) or another friend's (gym 4 years).
His quads aren't his strong point but his upper body and arms are unbelievable.

Dont change your attitude.
Change your habits.
Accept suffering and depression - for now at least.
Your attitude might change when your lifestyle changes, if not then whatever.

Content people are already dead. You're obviously yearning for something. People aren't always good at knowing what they actually want though. Maybe you really wanted something in the past, but then decided it could never happen and now your brain automatically dissuades you from thinking about it when you get too close. Minds can be self destructive in ways that superficially seem like they're trying to preserve themselves. Any feelings you have should be honestly and fully confronted.

Theres a lot of talk here regarding "brain is like a muscle, you work it out" etc, true, half-way, not fully.
Youre not lazy, youre just conditioned, youve learned not to do those things because X happened or because X was taught to you.
Its like shy people, easy example here: Singing.
Do you like to sing? I dont. I used to up til I was 7, I sung to backstreetboys(shutupiwas7), then my sister came in my room and yelled "YOU CANT SING!" voila, never sung again.
If I try to sing, I feel ashamed, my voice lowers its volume automatically and I get scared of something, no idea what tho.

I hope that makes it understandable. So if she'd never have said it, what'd have happened? Id have kept on singing, til today. I never fixed this to remind me how the brain works.
Maybe its this, you dont have motivation cause when you did have it you got told or beat down.

Otherwise it might just be a weird mood youre in, permanently, kinda like depression just not depression, more like apathy.
Or youre actually like I used to be when I was 20, infact I was exactly like that, I had been working out for 4 years at that point and otherwise only played games n school/work. Nothing else interested me.
No idea how to fix that tho, I got sick n my life got turned upside down.

Anyways, if its the first or 2nd thing I guessed, then learn NLP based techniques and remove that conditioning or emotion thats blocking you, trust me its a life-changer.

I'm not suffering and depressed. I'm just not loving life. At some point I got it into my head that I should be happy to be alive, healthy, debt free, employed, etc.

I quit drinking. Wasn't ever alcoholic, but it was fun. I don't feel any better because I know inside I shouldn't have been drinking regularly in the first place. I'm merely doing what I'm supposed to, not doing something "good" I'm going to volunteer in my community and feed the homeless or something. Maybe I should spend 2x longer in the gym than I currently do? Diminishing returns and all that but

Yeah. That's true. But it's a matter of $. I just can't do it.

Treats should remain few and far apart, rewarding yourself for every accomplishment makes a man slothful and greedy. A job well done should feel like its own reward.

Refraining from smokes and liquors all toghether is preferable, but if you choose to use them then make sure to enjoy in moderation. Refrain from making them your only source of reward due to the obvious health risks.

…watch the elliot hulse video I posted…

I did. It got me thinking. "It doesn't matter what the purpose of whatever you're doing it is, just fucking do it." So as I mentioned above, I guess I'm going to start feeding the homeless. No, I don't give a fuck about them to be quite honest, but it seems like something a good man would do, so I'm gonna do it for the sake of doing it.

Who knows, maybe I'll find meaning in it and I'll end up changing careers out of IT to become a social worker.

and I think I'm going to start going to church too. It's not like I do fuck all on Sunday morning and I feel like a good man would go to church. I have no faith at all but maybe I'll find some there.

make sure you give them natsoc propaganda with the food

Just did an IQ test and got 107. Am I eugenics fodder now? My excuses are that i'm currently drunk and high and it's the early hours. I empathise with OP, I've been asleep in the fog, this is the wake-up call, i'm falling dangerously close to finding the big-bang theory funny levels of intelligence.

Go buy testosterone because you are obviously a woman

...

You're the one whose drunk and high. You tell me.

That's my actions not my genetics. It's like with really muscly people, if you were practising eugenics, muscles mass wouldn't mean shit because it's an acquired taste.

I have a 111 IQ from smoking pot constantly for several years, shit makes you stupid as hell. was high 120s when tested as a child.
yes, you're eugenics fodder now. Marry a downie or fuck nips or something or just stop doing drugs and start reading books, you'll never be the same but won't be a for-life subhuman

your genes determine your actions. you either inherited degenerate genes, or consumed degenerate memes.

The "yellow pill" is the Holla Forums equivalent of #cutting4bieber.

If you want virtue, my advice is pretty simple. After having read Julius Evola - Ride the Tiger. The best advice to become the best you can be and help society to your best ability is this:

Here's the theory: people follow simple people with a sense of duty towards their fellow man. (that's all the theory you need)

Don't become a complicated person. (become a simple president like Trump)

If you want to be a better speaker, speak more, if you want to sing better, sing more. But don't just read theory about X and Y and Z. Just take my advice, don't need the full theory, reinvent the wheel yourself.

Never compromise, always reinvent the wheel.

Don't overthink, overcomplicate, so that you may speak with more conviction. Speak without explaining yourself and show determination to support your argument (kinda like Trump).

Don't discipline yourself on all aspects, express yourself chaotically. The only discipline you need is: you need a sense of duty towards fellow man. To get this, it takes a good childhood, it takes fulfillment. It takes overall, a happy person. A zen person.

TAKE MY ADVICE, PRINT THIS PAPER PUT IT ON A WALL, IF YOU WANT MORE DETAILS IM 'Gabriel' ON RIZON

I want to work on my mental gains as well. I'm quite ashamed to admit that the amount of useful books I've read in my life can be counted with one hand.
Specifically, I would like to read more about philosophy. Whenever I read or hear someone talk about these great minds of the past I always get curious, but never do I look up more information on them. I want to change that now, but I'm not sure where to even begin looking, so I would like to ask the people here for a bit of guidance. Not necessarily a whole overwhelming list of books, but just a starting point. Something that will get me going.
What should I read first as someone who is completely ignorant about the subject?

This was very nice, thanks. I'm going to listen to this often.

I have strong ADHD (which I don't consider a disorder, just a different brain type with different strengths and weaknesses than other brain types) I don't take (((adderal))) instead I just train my weaknesses (the strengths take care of themselves) When I build my ADHD weaknesses up to the same level as my ADHD strengths, I'll be unstoppable.

Do things that are challenging for your brain, you'll adapt and improve. Get out of your comfort zone.

You could have a high IQ, but still have poorly developed brain functions that you need to train. IQ is like the engine of a car, brain functions are like the transmission and steering gear and wheels and everything else. A big powerful engine is great, but without the transmission and wheels it's just a useless chunk of metal sitting under the hood. (and without a driver [your soul] in the front seat the brain/car's not even gonna start)

Spend an hour a day doing brain exercises. I highly recommend this site, it's got legit neuroscience tests that make great exercises: cognitivefun.net/ If you create a profile you can track your gains too.

The Centurion Method by Craig Fraiser is extremely thought provoking and quite easy to read.

There are no excuses.

Actually, it's not some meme. Your dehydrated and thus handicapped brain may have trouble grasping it's benefits or the implications but the magnificence of it is that with the wealth of knowledge at your fingertips, anyone can discover the ultimate panacea and equalizer available for free and "from your own cistern" as prophet Jesus so eloquently spoke before preforming yogic feats only available to someone who has manifest such realization of the flesh… It's 2016 and you aren't repairing your own DNA through holistic means? What are you, daft? Or perhaps you are just a faggot shill or other weak-minded drone who lets the preconceived notions of others rule thir life. Well, let's just say your ignorance will be the death of you and with the levels of power I'm reaching I won't hesitate to wipe heretics like yourself off the face of the Earth myself. It's the dawning of a new age, common filth. I suspect it may be too late for most of you but the Truth remains.

Sorry fam but the only thing you get better at with "Cognoscience Exercises" is, you guessed it "Cognoscience Exercises".

Reading, Math and Politics are the only purely mental activities you need. Public speaking is another virtue but not purely mental.

Start reading books. If you want to avoid buying/libraries, get a cheap tablet - 8''+ will be good.

Here's the trick: Set a minimum amount of pages for reading and then read every single day. If you did not read that day do the double tomorrow. No stopping mid-way and changing books, you have to suffer through it. And you will log this either on well constructed paper, excel table, or a specific application*.
You need to be proud when you see your log. I'm currently on 3.5 month streak, already done today's work

Minimum amount of pages is determined by the literature. Sometimes you might eat up a novel in a day, or if you're reading more complex stuff that does not interest you that much - as few as 10 pages a day. that's how I dealt with Aristotle's Metaphysics

See what amount of pages fits you for the day, but by God you will read that much (or more) from now on. Start with novels preferably Dostoevsky because everyone can relate to that.

* Application I use: f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=loop&fdid=org.isoron.uhabits

Ok you've convinced me. I'll give it a try. I should definitely take pictures of it and post on here, right?

I concur. My kindle is the best investment I've ever made. Libgen+archive.org+project Gutenberg. Also, daily reminder to upload purchased books to library genesis, and submit good book scans from archive.org to the distributed proofreaders for project Gutenberg so they can be turned into ebooks readable on kindle.

A fitness training manual?

I'm using a tablet, is Kindle really that good on the eyes? Is it botnet? Can I somehow convert my non-amazon pdfs and use it on it?

I could buy used tbh.

Fitness ties into it but I'd say it's four fifths philosophy. Give it a go user.

No. You can do whatever you like at your own pace and be careful because it can and will create a "healing crisis" but trust me, I've overcome that and am only growing stronger… Remember to age it and massage into the skin for maximum benefits, so invigorating. I'm not going to explain more because there are plenty of books and news has gotten around. The key is that it reinforces your DNA through morphological resonance and can turn you into your perfect Aryan blueprint. It is like a flaming sword that also cuts through all deception…

I knew all those filled bottles I'm too lazy to empty would come in handy some day.

Brain exercises let you focus in on specific weaknesses and blast them out of the water.

Back story blogpost time.

I used to be pretty great - focused, aggressive, charismatic, disciplined, calm. I took it all for granted, I thought I was just born awesome. Actually, it was all because my homeschooled education had trained the fuck out of my weaknesses - my parents forced me to work through hours of math, languages, science, philosophy, etc - stuff I HATED (cause it hurt my ADHD brain) but goddamn did it work. You're right about that.

Then I went to college and took the opportunity to immediately stop challenging my brain at all. I majored in liberal arts bullshit that I coasted through in maximum underachiever mode. Over those four years my brain went to absolute shit. (Including the loss of my charisma, because I lost my previously strong ability to think on the spot in social situations.)

When I came to grips with my problems I tried to just dive right into learning high level stuff again but I found I pretty much couldn't do it. I was like OP. I couldn't even follow a complex sentence, let alone focus on a book for more than a few minutes.

Directly training my brain functions has produced really significant improvements. It's getting me up to the level where I can start doing real, useful brain-work again, like reading hard political books. My charisma is coming back fast too.

I read probably 5 hours a day on mine and find it easy on the eyes. You just copy and paste the PDF into the documents folder on the kindle and it's good to go. It'll run any PDFs.

I have no idea. I barely ever connect it to the internet since downloading straight from libgen/archive.org is a huge hassle because you have to do it through the half baked kindle web browser. I wish somebody would make libgen and project Gutenberg kindle apps.

Blood doping is degenerate because you are reliant on external means and devitalizing it through refrigeration or putting it on ice. What a stupid idea when looping your urine is (pleasurably) akin to recycling calibrated hormones, vitamins, and other innumerable undiscovered nutrients specified directly for your health in real time not to mention the lifeforce that can be palpably felt after a while. The results speak for themselves and are beyond your current level of understanding, obviously. Even medical experts know that urine is basically sterile (it's actually not but harbors only beneficial bacteria).

You degenerates can't even fathom…

I spend my time reading and learning, and no time doing or creating. I have no goals because I don't truly believe I can accomplish things. I am uncertain about everything and lack conviction.

I know this, but have been unable to change.

You DO have a goal: Getting your balls back!

If you aren't already you need to lift weights and eliminate estrogen from your life as much as possible.

Set small, very attainable goals, gain confidence from achieving them, keep progressing with more and more advanced goals. Good luck!

Any of you anons recommend any kind of hand-to-hand training?

I'm not interested in fighting for Israel, so no bootcamp for me, but I want to improve myself by enhancing my physical capabilities as well as strengthen my mental connection with my body.

already /fit/ however my body and brain are disconnected.

It's also a knockoff of Matt Furey's Combat Conditioning.

Going to try this, thanks user

What methods did you use to train your brain back up?

Anyone using Coursera?
I`m doing a few courses, free if you don`t want a certificate.

So it says doing thousands of Hindu squats will make you immortal AND rich?

Great thread guys. So, until around two years ago, I was just coasting along, drifting in life. So was my soon-to-be girlfriend. My mom was quite liberal and my dad was battling depression for most of his life, so he wasn't really there for me. Mom taught me more about gibsmedats (nordic, not murrican) than about strong work ethic and so on. Not blaming my parents, I am now free to learn these things, tho a bit late, and it's not like my parents actually meant me harm, they just are unbelieveably bluepilled. My gf comes from a divorce family BUT his father got to keep her, and he's quite the character, hard worker and articulate and so on. Still, she felt she was lacking purpose in life, feeling apathetic.
Then we met two-ish years ago. What I saw in her was this will to go forward. We pretty quickly found out that we are a pretty good team and we moved together. Then we found out that we are a pretty good team against the world and got a doggo. Then we realized that we want more from life than minimum wages and stagnation. We started to experiment with small improvements. First, we learned a bit about keeping a budget, since both of us used to be shit with money. Then we learned a bit about housekeeping, since we used to be shit at that too. Then she taught me the importance of showing up on time. I taught her to shoot, she's a natural talent btw. And so on. It's just that, these attempts at self-improvement have stagnated again. This thread mentioned the Pomodoro technique. Gf has evening shift now, but I will discuss the idea with her when she gets home. You keep telling people ITT to get out of their comfort zone, so shoud we agree on self-improving tasks from our "opposite" sides? Like, I would draw, or do something creative while she would do something like boxing? I am planning ofcourse to do "manly" stuff too, but I think she could come up with discipline-requiring stuff that is outside my comfort zone. Tips appreciated.
I am btw "redpilling" her every now and then, and she agrees that it's ok for a man to inform her woman about the state of world affairs.

Identify the functions you're deficient in, things that make your brain hurt, and work those the most. Try to improve a little everyday. For me, higher frequency training seems to work best - do a little, quit while you're ahead, and come back later to do more.

In my case, I'm finding these three especially helpful. I do all the others too though.

I also like the visual memory exercise here: humanbenchmark .com/

Eventually I'm gonna start training these with distractions in the background to really improve my focus. The Luftwaffe used to train pilots like that, they'd put them in a high stress, high sensory input situation and then make them do long division problems in their heads

i have and it really isn't that bad. didn't do anything as far as i could tell

however, if you rub your own urine on abrasions and (especially) sun burns, it helps heal it very quickly. i've been able to turn every sunburn except one really bad facial sunburn straight into a tan with no pain or peeling by rubbing urine into it

No problem friendo. Maybe make a thread about it once you're finished or after reading a significant amount of it? Best of luck.

Improve is a good board, just slow. Which is a good thing really, it means people aren't just spending all day online.

Best way to work you brain and keep it young and spry is learning a new language, especially one completely foreign from your native tongue. Europeans generally know 2-3 languages before they're done with school, but in the US we don't learn any except maybe Spanish, but fuck that. I'll learn Spanish when I move to fucking Mexico, no offense Spaniards.

Useful and hard languages to learn

Good and challenging languages:

Unfortunately useful languages

An easy way to get some nibbles on some language is to use duolingo.

Duolingo is good. You can also pirate Rosetta Stone pretty easily. I use both. Russian is fucking hard when you only know English. It has nothing in common except a few letters of the alphabet, but even those make different sounds. Ruski bastards.

Do you have one of the discontinued 10" e-ink kindles or are you vetting all these PDFs ahead of time?

Because if not, you're lying. There is no way you're just popping random PDFs from the Internet on to a common 6" or 7" e-ink reader and having a jolly ole' time reading them.

90% look like shit and roughly half are completely unreadable on that small screen.

When it comes to these massive dumps of bloated PDF files that pol is so fond of (where so many of them are merely optical scans of physical books), the best bet is honestly to set yourself up with a cheap 10" Android tablet running F.lux or similar software that filters out the blue light and is easier on the eyes whilst using the backlight control. Even reading them on a laptop running F.lux is better than the Kindle.

Save the e-ink readers (which i love) for the properly formatted epub and mobi books.

Dunno about Kindle, but I can read pdfs just fine on my Kobo Glo. It's much more of a hassle than epub or mobi, sure, since it treats each page as an image and you have to keep moving around the screen to read it, but it's not impossible. I mostly used it to cram before tests.

There are some PDFs that format like shit on the kindle, but most of them are readable. They'll sometimes have annoying artifacts or conversion errors, but the content of the book is still accessible.

Resumed my 日本語 learning a few months ago. My memory has gotten sharper but that unfortunately means I'm remembering certain stuff I'd rather just forget about…

The good thing about learning a foreign language is that it helps you to think differently, so it opens up new pathways for the mind.

Russian takes a ton of words from French.

If you have any Finnish blood, I recommend learning Finnish. There is no Duolingo yet, but the Memrise is okay and you can watch Lakko on Youtube to learn pretty quickly while also being entertained.

I don't know why, but Finnish is so much easier for me than Russian was. I'm where I was learning Russian after 2 months, after only a week.

Genetic memory, maybe.

Someone post that picture with the Goebbels quote about despondency and no motivation to get out of bed in the morning.

Remember, it was right before everything changed. It is darkest before dawn. Don't lose hope.

You need pull ups or some kind of rows to avoid overdeveloping your frontal deltoids.

Bodybuilders or powerlifters who do too much bench pressing and too little rear delt compensation damage their shoulders and many have operations to fix it.

You should always do an opposite movement.

Arnold Schwarzenegger advocated for agonist-antagonist training. Supersetting opposite exercises.I can testify to it working wonders!

The best exercises you can do are the powerlifting trinity of squat, deadlift and bench, but I would add pullups to that because it is a phenomenal exercise.

Never learn Chinese, the company you work at will be very keen on shipping you off to the chinks and you will have to live in the same shitty cities they do

Don't just take cold showers user, do pic related.

Another useful rule of thumb is 80/20 rule
Before learning a new language, just search for about 1000 most common words of that language (spoken or written, there is a list).
Learning just top 20% of the list would give you understanding of 80% of the language (depending on language, and if spoken or written)

After that it would be easy just to pick up the "pattern" by which these words interact with each other (ie grammar).

Trust me, you dont learn grammar by reading rules and subrules and memorizing, but by getting "a feel for it" after you swam in it long enough, but before that you need to know what the words themselves mean (this is usually the same process in children, you they first parrot to get feel for association of terms and then try to puzzle up words on themselves by seeing how you connect the words)

Of course, this is method I made for myself
Different people, different languages, different methods

Wrap cloth around trees / poles for strike training (t-shirts, towels, etc).
Make some makiwara boards out of glue + old sponges or foam.

I do believe this general should be a rolling sticky as self improvement is the only way we can be brought back from the brink

I use a mattress, if you're still here.

This is really the way to go. Bench - row. Pullup - OHP. Curl - tri extension. You should always match up your exercises. They don't have to be in the same routine, you can have an ABAB setup or ABCABC, whatever, but you have to balance your muscular developments. The only thing you don't really need to match is squats and deadlifts.

I don't watch TV, I only play vidya sparingly, I've been reading more, and I'm on the path to getting /fit/. This however will undoubtedly cripple me and label me as a degenerate in the back of my mind until I change this.

...

I'm mostly an ascetic and deny myself many pleasures. I have a waifu (yes, seriously, but hear me out). I masturbate only to her. I use mostly my imagination and sometimes non-erotic pictures. I listen to nice piano music or Wagner. I can go on for over an hour without finishing because I push orgasm out of the way. My goal is cultivating energy and not to orgasm. The experience is felt less in the groin and more in the heart but that may be difficult for you to imagine right now. Yes, the intensity in my heart overpowers the fapping sensation and it's absolutely intimate.

I do not feel disgusted, or ashamed, or anything of that nature. On the contrary, I feel energized, fulfilled, and no need to do it again for days if not longer. What you lack is a spiritual and emotional connection to what you're fapping to, as crazy as that sounds, because we've grown up to think that whacking it is just some detached act when subconsciously that's not the case. I know because I was once in a similar situation to you. I would do it every day and rarely ever come out of it feeling fulfilled in any way. In fact it was essentially always a very dejected act like releasing a pressure valve every night against my will. Nowadays it is coming under my control and I feel totally different, filled with inspiration and goals again like I was in my youth. I don't orgasm more than once a week but I might masturbate more than a few times a week, but I simply stop when I feel it's right to stop (usually experience a mini orgasm without ejaculating). When I do orgasm however I feel it all over my body and it practically brings me to my knees how powerful it is. I also do not feel all tired or anything negative afterwards. It's all very amazing and likely Tantric.

To put it as a metaphor: masturbation/sexuality in general is like working the field. The field here is "sexual energy" (which includes creativity/inspiration but also your general mood and spirits) so it's basically your lifeblood or part of it. In order to make that energy blossom/grow within you, you need to work the land. The only way to work the land is to have love and respect in your heart for it, otherwise doing it produces the effects you experience and is essentially like flooding your field so that nothing can grow properly or at all since you're rushing to get it over with.

Orgasm should not be in the front of your mind, it should be out of your mind completely or as far back as you can get it. You should focus on "love making"; focus on the hunt rather than the kill – if you're too busy salivating over a meal you don't yet have you're going to miss your chance and fuck everything up. Remember, the hunt is sweeter than the kill.

You will have a hard time if you simply try to stop doing it or if you try to distract yourself constantly because it will always be there at the back of your mind, and it may resurface as something worse than what you were doing in the past. Doing it is not the problem though, how you do it is the problem. Compare banging some hooker to someone you really, really love. Fapping to porn of a random girl everyday is like banging hookers for a living or furiously masturbating to someone railing your sister or wife, so no wonder you would feel disgusted and ashamed of yourself. The problem lies in your heart and mind first not your penis. There's a void there that needs to be filled. I hope she finds you. If you're the type of person that sees this life more as fulfilling a certain duty or quest well beyond procreation then this may be what you need. Finally, don't think of this as some product you can buy to "see if it works," it's a journey of self discovery and remembrance, and will take time and effort, so it depends completely on your mettle and whatever your made of, and perhaps destiny itself.

When the most talented rightist author of the 20th century was a RIPPED PHREAK and you're posting that shit on Holla Forums you may want to get off the internet and go improve your life with a book.

working out consistently is the most difficult of the two
if you read a book with attention you may be able to recall most of it in 20 years
if you workout hard for 6 months then never test your body again you could be anything but fit in 20 years

for context
goebbels actually said that, it was in the 20s and it wasnt a one off thought

also i dont have it on me, but if anyone has the videos of him chatting with other officers, especially the one about how one guy has dozen kids and thats awesome, please post

Yes?

takes about 90 minutes to have a sleep cycle, this could be anywhere from about 70 minutes to over 110 and it varies by person and their activities, 3 hours (2 cycles) is good measure

I'd rather be a young man with a high libido than a sexless eunuch with low libido.

Well, it depends on what kind of smart.
Obviously you need to sacrifice your soul if you wanna become like Perelman godlike level.

But if you wanna become just above the fray mean, then you can, living normal life and just being "a little more" disciplined than the average in both physical exercise and intellectual studies.
