I don't think pitbulls should be banned outright, but owners should take heftier punishments if their dog attacks someone. There's a big difference between a chihuahua and a pitbull, but if both are trained wrong, guess which one is more likely to seriously harm someone. A few family members have owned them and when trained properly in a good environment they're loyal, affectionate companions. When trained by fucking assholes they're violent and dangerous.
