So I discovered the Sovereign Citizen movement very recently. At first I thought it was some kind of staged publicity or trolling shenanigans, until I dug deeper and deeper, discovering the movement and that it's very much real.
If you've never heard of them, they're a loose collection of North Americans, Europeans, and Australians who think that they don't have to follow the laws of the countries they live in. They cite obscure legislation or outdated acts to support everything from driving unlicensed to stealing peoples' property, with reasons ranging from "the government's corrupt" to "I'm a citizen of the world and am above all laws." There are plenty of videos about them out there, and in many cases they will go to court and take up large chunks of time explaining their ideas, filing suits against everyone they can, and even murdering cops outright.
I realized it was less of a troll movement and more of a movement of retards, until I realized that Sovereign Citizens are apparently associated with Right-wing politics, particularly anti-Judaism and the idea that corporations run government politics. There are even some videos of outright self-professed Holla Forums users speaking in favor of sovereign citizens.
This has left me confused. They seem like a radical lefty hippie bullshit group, but they're associated with the Right of politics and even National Socialism?
I don't know what to think myself. What are your thoughts on this movement?
