there's a serious spam vulnerability here if anyone hasn't noticed. that it exists at all is telling of the programming behind Holla Forums which is apparently unable to detect rapid POST requests from the same IP address
this could be fixed very easily without compromising the anonymity of the site
anyway, this post will probably get buried beneath the influx of spam that's hitting probably every thread here, so everyone disperse. nothing to see here
The spammer could easily be using hundreds or thousands of different IP's

If we had ID's, this wouldn't be nearly as bad.

see ids wouldn't be of any use in that case.
since Holla Forums is clearly lacking mods, i recommend Distomia to enable captcha for every post

BRING BACK CAPTCHA, FAGGOT!!
Colton Howard
if we suffered through it for a week I bet the spammer would get distracted and post quality would improve. I will clap to show my belief in escalating post quality.

don't need it for every post. just need it per IP per 24 hours. if the spammer is using hundreds or thousands of IPs like an user mentioned before, they will have to complete that many captchas. if they're only using a single IP (or a few at most) then the IPs would get banned and problem solved
i think captchas are turned off completely right now anyway. i don't remember having to enter one today
