I've been saying this for some time now. Transsexuals actually buy so much into existing gender roles that they think they need to chop their dick off to become normal. Their whole conception of gender is a caricature to the nth power.

Yes, funding sex-change operations for homosexuals is. I don't see how this reflects any on transsexualism as a whole. This whole "transsexualism is actually reinforcing gender-roles" is also a right-ring shtick anyway.

Transsexualism is suffering "gender dysphoria" for your physical sex-characteristics such as your breasts or penis and taking hormones and such to change them. It has pretty much nothing to do with how girly or boyish you are.

When the average person thinks of communism they think of ML, not one of the million different other obscure socialist sects. So naturally when left-liberals want to be edgy for a while before dropping socialism that's where they go.

Didn't Judith Butler say something along the lines that perceiving and using your genitalia strictly as a "penis" (e.g. assigning it a fixed and limited definition) is already buying into gender-roles? I'm not a fan of her myself, but I doubt she could be considered right-wing in any classical sense.
It seems any mental illness is political anyway - meaning totally real (not mere fiction) yet historically produced. Until people weren't pressured by neoliberal ideology to build their whole careers through networking and turning themselves into a walking brand or commercial there was no social anxiety (appeared in DSM only at the end of 80s). Similar thing with ADHD and constant stimulation from TV and then the Internet when its popularity really took off.
I'm inclined to think it's the same with transsexualism. Such strong emphasis on gender roles and their very strict rules is a relatively recent thing, tied to the development of the bourgeois family in the 18th and 19th century. For example, hermaphrodites were considered monsters for a long time, yet it was only at the end of the 18th century that they began to pose such a big problem because they were no longer perceived as simply a mix of sexes but as a deviation from one primary sex that is at the basis while having secondary elements of the other one. Transsexualism works in a similar way, the individual thinks there is some primary sex "deep inside them", relative to which everything else is evaluated.

Assuming, of course, that they're not just attention whoring/virtue signaling and/or seriously misguided by the current cultural blitz of trans* attention. Trans* is the new "fuck you mom and dad" cultural fad for a lot of young people right now, similar to punk/goth/emo/etc. in the past but I have a feeling that between the internet preventing most of this edge and absurdity from vanishing and the physical consequences this trend is going to leave a lot of scars.

As someone with a mental illness myself I have sympathy for those individuals who have the mental illness known as "gender dysphoria", but I can't think that most of the current crop are anything other than delusional impostors.
