Star Wars OT Plinkett response

Star Wars OT Plinkett response.

It's a work in progress.

You actually typed that all out? Why? Star Wars is blatantly a blend of science and fantasy that runs on the age-old monomyth and archetypes endemic to Western mythos. The settings only makes sense so as to benefit the plot - they do NOT attempt to present an illusion living breathing environments. Lando's betrayal in ESB took place in Cloud City because the place was designed to suit the characters and the carbonite scene. Same goes for the Hutt fortress, Old Ben's clothes and any other element you'd care to name. Asking why'd they need Obi-Wan in the first place is like asking why'd Luke have to be a Jedi in the first place.

TL;DR Too much effort for a shitpost, so I assume this shit was copied off some shithole forum. Waste of grey matter.

But I am pointing out issues with the plot.

for example…
Yoda says that a Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense, never for attack, but then it turns out that Yoda and Obi Wan want Luke to attack and kill his own father.

Are Red Letter Cucking going to do Plinketts review of the Original Trilogy?

No, I am.

Why? Who are you?

Just a selfless hero.

Shut the fuck up and talk like a normal human, you stupid faggot. Go flaunt your fucking film major somewhere else,

CUCKHOLD

If you're going nitpick the prequels in such a manner, it's only fair the original trilogy should get the same treatment.

Sooo… science fiction?

Stop getting offended that everyone isn't as stupid as you are. Everyday you make a choice, on the internet can download and read every book that was ever written, you choose to watch interracial cuck porn instead of reading Plato. That's on you.

Space Fantasy, dumb anime poster.

But you shouldn't nitpick the Prequels, what Pleb Leddit Media did was lame as fuck. Why would you want to copy them? To prove a point? To show that they're retards? Anyone with eyes to see already knows that they're losers.

Clearly the fact they attack with their lightsabers means the rule is more nuanced than you are allowing.

Defense can have a very broad definition, and in the case of eradicating the Sith you are defending the galaxy.

There's no real difference between space fantasy and science fiction aside from marketing and presentation.

Cuck Wars has always been shit hasn't it? The Prequels tried to elevate it, but the fans wouldn't have it because they're low-iq goons.

Stupid anime postin niggers can't tell the difference between science fiction and science fantasy!!!
=REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE==

There is no difference, geek.

Fiction and fantasy are synonyms.

The Maltese Falcon is not the same thing as The Avengers, kill yourself.

YOU HAVE NO PROOF

It is factual that you are wrong.

This line of thinking is what gives us trash like Season 2 of Fargo.

Fargo is science fiction.

rekt

My fantasy is more believable than your fantasy therefore it's not fantasy it's fiction!!

There are subcategories of fiction. Fantasy is used to distinguish nonsense stories which have to practical value. For example, a book like Lord of the Flies contains valuable lessons about human nature, while Lord of the Rings is Christian wish fulfillment. There is a clear distinction between the two.

no practical value'

Fantasy is fiction about the fantastical.

What's it like being 15 years old in 2017?

I'd like to hear your counter argument to what I posted.

you a virgin nerd. lol rekt

gotim

nigga what?

If you can't distinguish the difference between a Hemingway story and George R.R. Martin story, I can't help you.

This sounds like anime autist.

...

Allegoric of the medieval knights' code of chivalry and honor. I'd thought that the Jedi Order members being called 'Knights' and using what are essentially glowing swords would make that connection for you. In addition, given how little medieval knights gave a shit about said code, your argument really doesn't hold water, and stinks more of prequel "We're keepers of the peace, not soldiers" crap.

Obviously they wrote in different genres, dipshit.

Yes to restore peace to the galaxy. Or you don't think that includes killing the dark sith lord and his henchman, one of the most evil and feared men in the galaxy?

...

Not an argument is not an argument.

STOP intentionally misrepresenting the two trilogies.
They were ALWAYS keepers of the peace.

(pic related is not meant for you btw)
I don't personally have a problem with that. I include it because i've seen people say that Yoda bringing the Clones in AotC to DEFEND his fellow Jedi and a republic senator from execution is actually attacking and contradicts ESB.
So I just point out that Yoda "contradicts" ESB in that sense in the OT as well.

Prequels showed the decline of the Republic where the Jedi had to confront going from an autonomous order of monks to actively generaling for the clones, which is where the line I quoted is relevant. By the time of the OT, that mentality had vanished with the death of the Order and so did the high moral ground "the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic" originally had. So yes, they WERE the keepers of the peace - WERE being the operative word and a state they had already transitioned out of in the Prequels.

Then why did you call the line from the PT "crap"?

I'm missing your point here…

Because that 'thou shalt not commit violence' belongs to a time when the Jedi could afford not to attack and stick to the minutae of their ideology. By the OT, the remaining members of the order are doing anything they can to influence events, as seen by Ben dodging around Darth Vader's identity and keeping Leia's existence hidden.

I think we're talking past each other.

Not an argument is not an argument is not an argument.

Not an argument is not an arugment is not an argument is not an argument.

That's the narnia series you delusional christcuck.

whats the use?

you're a fucking moron m8. like said, the jedi were forced into war, thus no longer being just keepers of the peace.

the entire purpose of the prequel trilogy is to show that the jedi, while being the overall good guys, still had to do shitty things, hence obi-wan and yoda stretching the truth about vader. it's the gray meme that disney is now trying to push with the sequel trilogy, only disney has no clue what they're doing because they're more concerned about diversity quotas.
