This place is anonymous, care to share? Also if you live in the USA you can try to purchase a gun at a gun show, most dealers won't do background checks there.

No, I don't care to share.
Contrary to fake news, most gun shows require the dealers do background checks now. Often you can still do a private party sale at a gun show or elsewhere, but it's not worth the risk, for me.
It would be nice to be able to take a rifle to the range as a hobby, but I don't live in constant fear that I need to be armed.
