Meanwhile PG&E here in California literally steals electricity from a public power dam up near San Francisco and sells it to the people on the grid connected to the dam without the government doing shit about it. It also has such a huge monopoly and political influence that it managed to get laws passed that made it so that you have to pay PG&E a minimum no matter what, they won't pay you for generating power through solar and adding it to the power lines anymore like they use to.

Fucking bourgeoisie.

I'm colombian and I find everything people say about venezuela hilarious because colombia experiences all the same shit and people reminds mute.

Two months ago we had a drought, our electricity comes from hydroelectrics so we also had a power shortage. That its nobody's fault really but when the same happens in venezuela its a failure of socialism.

Is it true that all your women have huge boobs like Sophia Vergara

"to be expected, the market etc etc etc, nothing can be done about it"
"YOU FOOLS, WE WARNED YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN!!!!1111!"

Diles la verdad camarada!

How is making every friday a holiday a bad thing?

Because if they're not working and creating surplus value then they're worthless peasants that aren't justifying their existence.

Chilean here, that article title is misleading. They built a lot of solar panels in the north of the country for the mining industry, but now after an economic "deceleration" it isn't needed for the mining industry anymore. That energy could still be used for housing, but the problem is that most people live in the center of Chile, and the northern and central networks aren't interconnected. So basically they literally don't know what to do with those panels now because as long as they can't send the energy to the center of the country they're useless. It doesn't prove that we have too much energy (we don't), it only proves how inefficient we are.

...

We have big asses and meh boobs

😉

Well, to be fair, the "socialist" in charge was too busy throwing money at people in order to distract them to actually diversify Venezuela's economy or invest in infrastructure.

this

also god bless colombian women

I'm getting conflicting information here

Well the rest of Latin America, most of Africa and Asia are capitalist and pretty poor….

¿Hubo racionamiento en el 2016? Si no entonces a nadie le interesa.

Modern Family used to be the bustiest show on TV until the National Tragedy of 2015

Saving it, for it's a good counter for the "muh Chile is doing great. Le Pinichet is good. Kills and rapes are propaganda. Neolib is great" memes.

...

do you have any sources for that? english would be great spanish would be okay

IMO I would love a 3 day weekend, 2 days feels way too short, I'm too exhausted to enjoy Friday night, I make the most of my Saturday doing leisurely things but then I have to consolidate all my chores (shopping, laundry, cleaning etc) on Sunday which makes that day off too abrupt.

Refineries here are fucked.

good one.
reminder: not every country is like yours.

Well, that would be similar to what was done in the last energy crisis of 2010, and look at how well that worked out.

k

This is what six cups of coffee gets me. Fuck.

Christ-Chan is a QT!

I agree, my friend.

why is this one of the right's favorite tactics?

Humble? Debateable.

Electrician? No, I just told you, I'm an electrical technician.

The order (in terms of skill and training in electronics) is Apprentice->Electrician->Electrical Foreman->Robotics Technician->Electrical Technician->Electrical Engineer->Electrical-focused Physicist

Not the same thing. I've got all the practical experience of an engineer along with all the practical knowledge of an electrician combined with some coding experience for working on industrial robotics like Baxter, we just don't have the physics/calculus for doing research.

That aside, why is claiming to be an intellectual who knows better than the rubes one of the left's favorite tactics? Because that's the main group that they appeal to. Intellectuals don't appeal to folks working in the fields and factories, and folks working in the fields and factories don't generally want to hear what the intellectuals are babbling about. they want solutions.

This.

Because Marxists have always been circle-jerking elities who want to crown themselves philosopher kings and think wage-labourers are ubermenschen and peasants are basically orcs.

Not necessarily. I think there's legitimately people who were down on their luck and exposed to Marxism at an early age or after having a bad experience in the workforce.

It's just that even those sorts tend to gravitate towards the intellectuals rather than their fellow workers.

Hubieron racionamientos de agua en la cosata caribe pero nada mas

...

Does Chile even have a Pinochet-style economy anymore?

Is a square not a rectangle even though a rectangle can not be a square?

They go back and forth between socialism and capitalism due to Pinochet fucking over marketers with his militant variety, but everyone remembering how shit socialism was as well.

You seem to have misunderstood what I wrote.

Lies from a faggot

We had people saying that about Bolivia quite recently to be fair.
The pink tide were demagogues wearing red, little more. You can't have Socialism and keep Private Property, it just doesn't happen.
Can we really blame them though? Does anyone believe a world leader will live a day after mass expropriation in the current year?

Es "hubo racionamientos"

Can't you dunces just admit you were wrong for once?

There at least six of us fam.
I did get pretty excited when Maduro said he would give paralised factories to the people, apparently he didn't do that.
he's trying to build Socialism (kind of) out of bourgeois democracy, there's blatant corruption which can't be dealt with because muh human rights and certainly lots of blame on the administration.
we never claimed venezuela was a paradise, we never were supportive of Maduro's current policies (Holla Forums is Eurocentric as fuck tbh), we merely hoped they would follow their rhetoric and take their policy further left, they didn't.

Ignore him, he's an anarchist with a obsession with shitting on Marxists.

This. Something effs up under [insert system I like or am indifferent to] it's an act of God or unavoidable or the fault of external forces. Something effs up under [insert system I dislike], it's because that system is inherantly immoral, inefficient and unworkable. Cold War politics a fat shit.
