While I respect many anarchists' conviction to not participate in the electoral system as to not legitimize an only nominally democratic apparatus, I personally do vote when the opportunity arises. Obviously revolution is the main goal, but the best way of creating the conditions for revolution is to push reform to the furthest-most limit; a point at which the only reform left to make would be the proper transition to socialism, which the bourgeoisie will never allow to happen through democratic means. That's not to say that revolution can't occur before that point or that one shouldn't support it purely because there is still progress on the reform path to be made mind you, and more effort should still be made to agitate, educate, and organize at the local level rather than obsessing over electoral politics.

In terms of parties, I don't have that many options while living in the US. Usually I'll vote Green or Socialist when the option is available, Democrats only on a candidate-by-candidate basis. The former two have never won anything beyond super-local bureaucratic positions (and then only rarely) where I'm at, but its still better than nothing I suppose.

I vote for reformist parties becuase historically, revolution has came after failed reform.
