Ron Paul was much lower energy than Trump. Equally important, he had much less money. Trump is already famous and well-known, he's much harder to just ignore than somebody (unfortunately) largely unknown by the public like Ron Paul.

For me, the most reassuring thing about Trump is that almost all of his vast fortune is tied up in US real estate. As you probably know that money isn't very liquid, you can't just sell your houses/skyscrapers over night and bail on the country. And his assets' values are directly affected by the American economy. So even if he's lying about everything, he still has a very strong interest in improving the American economy, because that'll make him richer.

Yeah you are right about Iran especially. He has been chuckin and jivin about Iran since day one.

I honestly don't think much will change in the middle eastern front if he gets into office. There is way too much American money at stake and Israel has done a swell job at keeping the Washington in a choke hold.
