It looks like they're going for glocks throne on the civilian handgun market. Typically FN only designs a weapon when a military is looking for something specific, and they do a fucking great job at it. FN currently holds more military contracts than any other manufacturer, so it doesn't make sense for them to be going after civilian sales.

With this new line if handguns, they modelled it off the very successful FNP (Browning Pro) handguns and added some very desirable festures that set it apart from the competition, yet still kept the price point affordable.
