TL;DR - Seventy years ago this year, the WW2 veterans of Athens, TN returned home to find that Liberty had been usurped in their city. Several small altercations broke out before the veterans(A coalition of WW2 GIs banded together to oppose the corruption) finally resorted to violence, taking over the town by force and restoring the rule of law.
Given the events of the current year, I believe this story is an incredibly relevant and important historical event.

Its more important to me as it shows how categorically willing the US is to ensure this economic system. I view politics as a result of economics, laws as a results of politics and society, and religion as this weird thing everybody has an opinion on that stems from everything and is influenced by everything.
So in my opinion, Blair shows how corrupt things are, while Athens shows that there is some hope that people could once choose a system and hold too it from mouth to hand.

I mean look at the net and how much its changed in a decade. Everybody points to the past, but never asks the true question of, why has this not repeated? What was learned from it, what was lost in it?
Its not just COINTELPRO making sure to nip those annoying bramble heads sticking up in the grass, its the complete and total pozzing of everything. People shot at the Tenesee Valley Authority workers for doing the Devil's work in stringing the lines. Hippies bombed college campuses to get at the government labs and complexes in them. In the 90s, seperatists and sovereigns shot and bombed, people, police, and more to make their voices heard.
And now we have BLM being heard and some manner of Trump cuckolds making some noise by bashing in a homeless man's head in their pursuit of ideas.
We have lost the will to die for a cause, only to kill and destroy for the sake of rage (see Milwaukee Riots). This is the part that saddens me, but also I know will happen. The world is too nice, too happy for people. Men will die to save their family, but will do naught but talk if there is no immediate danger. And society is all about making sure the sabretooth is gone, the mastadon can't charge, the nigger won't rob you. The danger is so far off, we shall become like the Chinese and be a complacent, inebriated people.

We require extensive information regarding the voting laws in each and every US state, county and municipality.
We must know where and when and how to act, within the confines of the law, to ensure voter fraud does not occur, and we must likewise be prepared to act as necessary to achieve this end.
In the case of Athens, the fact that votes were required to be read before the public was the means via which these people had the right, in the eyes of the people, to take action.
We must know what our options are in this regard, and we must know how and when and where to take steps to ensure we maximize our potential, within the confines of the law, to inhibit voter fraud.
And likewise, we must begin to fashion a paradigm which might be employed on the local level in the event of apparent voter fraud - if Athens happens again, we must have a guideline prepared so that people know what to do, and how to lead their communities in this battle.
Time is running short, so we must act fast.
I would like to see localized threads started on Holla Forums, or another board with a Holla Forums-based sticky leading to said board, wherein people might organize and discuss localized strategies, with the assistance of legal scholars.

Obama wasn't overplayed, Obama had no idea of the game. He came in with no political capital, no inside the beltway material. He only had backers, who ignored him for a talk with Hillary just before nomination.

Why do you think its all accelerated since he got reelected? He made a book, checked the names, and sharpened the axe. He has no incentive to keep the system going, he gets nothing from it for being president afterwards.

Obama knows that everybody is too happy too complacent, we do live in a great country, hence the questions on MAGA meaning what? as we have been discussing here. But, as we see this all go on, the Overton window now shifts, people are no longer as complacent. People have begun to wake up, and that is where things change. 3%. 3 active percent is needed to start a change. 7% of a country to have a winnable chance at civil war with outside help. 12% to maintain stability afterwards without that 12% moving into reprisals.

Unions of that type were very important and far from this pozz socialist thing that sees the current ones.
Now that OSHA, working hours, regulations, and so on exist, unions have finished what was needed. About the only thing that needs to be gotten rid of still is at will employment. You always have a reason when firing somebody, with at will, people are just covering themselves for petty bullshit they should have placed in the contract. Such as actually having to work.
Modern unions are mostly either one of two. A dog that has gone feral, that you loved as a child, and needs to be put down behind the shed. Or a method for mass negotiations rather than add even more bureaucracy to deal with each person - these being the ones that people tend to complain about the most as they bin everyone.
You don't hear about how its the union's fault when engineers screw up, but you do over teachers. Or when the unions get a fixed rate contract in GM that crashes the business because nobody wants to buy their cars. GM was much more funny in that regards, the unions had no reason to drop the contract, GM was purely unsustainable and the unions had no reason to keep it going. The people dragging it down were retired, the new line workers weren't going to see anything from a redone package.
But then, this is more on contracts and what you do with them, than some idea of sociopolitics.
