In this regard, they cannot be called allies of humanity. These images, were they to exist, would be the adversaries. Well, I suppose I have two specific objections to Christianity.

One, Christian conception of time and eternity. In Western conceptions of time it's an arrow that comes from the past, carries the present, and delivers us into the future. In Eastern religion time is circular. I think the Eastern concept is better demonstrated by the natural world. spring comes, goes, and comes again. So the idea of an event happening once and only once seems nonsensical to me. The idea of Jesus being unique seems nonsensical to me. Anything that happens once should happen twice, and anything that happens twice should happen ten thousand times. With this, I dispense with the idea of ETERNAL heaven or ETERNAL hell… the only thing that is eternal is transformation, change.

Two, I find the metaphysical framework of Christianity somewhat… impoverished. The good spiritual beings are angels. The evil spiritual beings are demons. They are always mutually hostile. Dead humans become reincarnated humans on a new earth, and that's all there is. But you can't throw a rock in Japan without being presumed to fluster a kami of something or other, from Mt. Fuji to the barely-extant kami of an unusually long-lasting puddle. I mean this is a people who think any household object that serves for a century develops its own soul - Japanese religion is incredible spirit-filled. Still, Christians have done a huge deal in developing morality than most other faiths, and there's a spirituality in Christianity that's utterly lacking in both Islam and kikedom, both of which are more ritual orientated that spiritual. Still, one has to question whether or not that's simply because Europeans were driving Christian morality, and there was a strong Greek basis for a lot of the philosophy that guys like Thomas Acquinas came up with.
