Well the latest chapter did dwell into some heavy undertones that everyone still has some problem understanding. Some are on the side of Eldia, some on Marly, but most people are in the Middle.

Basically an empire that commited enthic cleansing and oppresed neighboring kindoms and did so by 1,500 years were defeated by one of the oppresed kingdoms.

Problem is said oppresed nation turned the ball on them and placed all the captured Eldians on jewish-like ghettos (They even use the armband on them like Jewish stars) were they are treated like subhumans and forced to do slave work and abuse on a dily basis. Some Marly officers even kill a little girl by having dogs tear her apart and they do so just because they could.

But then Grisha (Eren's father) gets traumatized by this and joins a Natonalistic group that wants to destroy Marly and restore Eldia back to all it's golry. They also believe that Eldia did not oppres anyone, but rather brought prosperity and wealth to all.

So it's all a very confusing situation. Marly is supposed to be the nazis, but they also have their reasons to be pissed.

But then the current Eldians have nothing to do with the old Eldian empire and it's been over a hundred years since the war ended but Marly still punishes them. It's also said the real reason as to why they sended the warriors to invade the Walls is because they want them out of the picture so they can take over the island, which is rich in fossil fuels that they need to fuel their own imperialistic campaigns.

This one is really puzzling to me. The first panel sounds like something straight out of Holla Forums, like "Them kikes were lying! It's all propaganda!" but then the second panel follows with "We are the choosen people of God!"

I guess this is the le duality of man.

Been out since October 18th. I'd probably buy it and scan it myself but I'm afraid of buying a shitty comic and someone scans it before me. Also, I've got lingering purchases that I'm waiting for from Japan. First time buying stuff from Japan and it's taking a while. I know it would take a while but it's going over the estimate given. I've got all of November to wait before I start getting a refund.

Any purchase and scan that I do will have to wait till that is resolved. On a kind of related note, I wonder if anyone is interested in helping me translate some manga and comics. These range from Japanese, Korean, French and Italian. I'll put these to the other boards but I'm thinking of purchasing and scanning stuff that you people are interested in wanting in exchange for help to get translations for some things I want to get done. I'll even buy that Frozen comic that one user was harping about for months if I can get help on these projects.

I don't have much now but I can get the things you want if they're cheap and easily available to get during my next purchase run. Some of the stuff I have on me at the moment are CSI: Intern at Your Own Risk, 2 issues of the Apollo Smile comic and STONe (manga by Hiromoto-sin-ichi). Kodansha Comics/Kodansha USA is an American subsidiary of the Japanese Kodansha Ltd. (and the original publisher of SnK/AoT). The license probably doesn't cost anything because it's theirs to begin with.

Remember, AoT was one of the early offerings of Kodansha Comics after the parent company decided to stop licensing to publishers like Del Rey and handle stateside translation/publishing on their own.

It's nuance. As you noted, they are jews but also Holla Forums. Each side is a pastiche of cynical, real-world motivations, such that you can draw a lot of parallels, but no side is transparently a representation of an actual historical entity. Also, with the emphasis on guilt for past transgressions you can see and apply it to modern philosophies.
And further, the author is not afraid to have the protagonist say something that may be extremely off-putting and let readers make up their own mind.

Well, I'd argue the two groups kinda blended together for awhile since fangirls found they could adopt some SJW terms and talking points to apply to their own porn - deflecting criticism with ships with "representation," using said "representation" arguments to argue why their favorite ships should be canon, celebrating beefcake as women expressing their sexuality, etc. - which gave SJWs something of a foothold in those communities for a while. Look at any fangirl-majority site and shit like trigger warnings and pronoun talk is rampant.

Only problem is in recent years SJWs have been cracking down on shit like "problematic" shipping and content that has been commonplace in fangirl circles since forever, and there seems to be some push back in recent years as a result that probably noticed.
