We've had the NRA for many decades now. Under the NRA lobby, we've lost the right to have automatic weapons, they've extended background checks and it's been one bad negotiation of deals after another.
The NRA favors compromises which aren't compromises at all. The fact is that the NRA has given up tons of gun rights and has gotten nothing in return. That's not a compromise. A compromise is when both parties give and take. So far, the anti-gun lobby has taken and given nothing for 30+ years. It is nothing more than a shekel grab that produces no results.
