Thats bullshit. Culture is very important in politics. Laws are only the extension of culture. Age of consent laws for example rely heavily on culture. Laws revolving gay rights is completely cultural. Laws surrounding any personal rights. Culture is at its most basic, morality.

Everything we do that has a group has very small cultural differences. On the broader scale it make things completely different. How do you expect people to be unified if they can't agree with the same moral standards?

How about not. With manifold cultures worldwide there are manifold solutions to the various problems people face. A single, monolithic culture would be objectively inferior than the current state of the world because it would make the human race far less adaptive.
